Does your dp go for a poo in front of you

Help to settle a very light hearted discussion please. I've watched everything on Netflix and am this bored!

Been with dh for 5 years and we don't poo in front of each other. We were discussing ex relationships ( don't ask me how ) but the topic came up that my ex partner used to go for a poo in front of me ( never bothered me).

DH said it's weird and that he doesn't imagine many couples do this , I disagree and think it's probably quite common.

So do you/ your partner or has an ex ever done this ?

Usually number one rather than number two

Anotherbloomingchristmas · 19/12/2022 17:14

No.
A few years ago we went to a bnb and there wasn't a door on the ensuite, we had to take turns to go for a walk while the other poohed.

TheBirdintheCave · 19/12/2022 17:14

We do :) We only had one bathroom for three years and would have been late for work if we'd had to take turns 🤷🏻‍♀️

butterfliedtwo · 19/12/2022 17:14

That's a hard no.

skippy67 · 19/12/2022 17:15

No. No need. We've been together 30 years, and never felt the urge!

Sunnytwobridges · 19/12/2022 17:15

That's grim. I had an ex that would take dump daily which lasted for an hour and I made him use the hallway bathroom instead of the one in the bedroom.

We don't fart, burp, pee or poo in front of each other.

We fart and burp, quite regularly but anything to do with the toilet, that's all private.

Topseyt123 · 19/12/2022 17:21

Bloody hell of, no!

We don't mind letting rip a good few farts but we would never want to poo in front of each other.

SirenSays · 19/12/2022 17:27

Absolutely not. Doors shut and locked in this house

fantasmasgoria1 · 19/12/2022 17:29

Nah we don't do that. I'll have a wee if he is in the bath and vice versa but that's the extent of it!

blindfate · 19/12/2022 17:30

@HaggisBurger funny you say that, it's a running joke between us that I neither poo nor parp! So little is private in life and marriage though, it's literally the one bit of alone time I get so I will bloody well enjoy it in solitude 😂

XJerseyGirlX · 19/12/2022 17:31

Responses are fairly unanimous . Sorry I just realised this definitely classes as a poo thread which as a long term member of mumsnet I should know is 'bad form'. Not a troll I promise , genuine sad and bored discussion with dh. Thanks all :-)

Is this one of 'those' threads?

And no, it's a disgusting idea.

Is not common, no, not even a wee, some things must remain private

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 19/12/2022 17:35

We don't go and meet in the bathroom when people shit no. But I would go in the bathroom for something I needed and visa versa whilst dp is on the loo.

pompei8309 · 19/12/2022 17:35

PandaG · 19/12/2022 17:03

Yes,often. Frequently one of us is say in the shower while the other is on the loo. En suite opens straight off the bedroom, we'd rarely shut the bathroom door.

Disgusting 🤮

Lulu1919 · 19/12/2022 17:39

No
35 years married
Wee yes ..but even then I'd not out of choice...but have done !

Penguinsaregreat · 19/12/2022 17:40

Absolutely not.

knittingaddict · 19/12/2022 17:41

I think humans are hardwired to find the very idea repulsive and it's a rare person who wouldn't have an issue with it.

ShandaLear · 19/12/2022 17:44

Eww. Nope.

pompei8309 · 19/12/2022 17:35

Disgusting 🤮

Is the pp said she takes her dinner into the bathroom you'd have a point. But I think that's a bit of an overreaction to something someone else does in their own home

MumUndone · 19/12/2022 17:48

Jesus, no.

WhineWhineWINE · 19/12/2022 17:51

Yes he does. Dirty bastard.

HaggisBurger · 19/12/2022 17:51

Good I’m glad to hear it! Me too 😄. Yes even my kids calling me and trying to have a chat whilst I’m in the loo drives me nuts. Just want a moment’s peace.

My current DP (18 months and we don’t live together but have spent lots of time together 2 week hols etc) is the least smelly man I’ve ever met. Never farts. Doesn’t leave toxic bathrooms in his wake. Such a joy compared to my ex 😂

GoingtotheWinchester · 19/12/2022 17:53

Absolutely no way!
