Wondering if this man is just after sex and I've met another childish one, or are they all the same?

I don't like talking naughty if we've not met yet/only just met.
I met a man for the first time today because I was enjoying our conversations by text. Very attentive and interested in me and my life/things I had to say.
I tend to self sabotage and I have ended short relationships when they've been childish. Am I a prude? All other conversations have been really enjoyable and respectful.
One screenshot is before we met, after we were talking about how we both love hugs. Other was tonight after we met.
He was very complimentary on our date and respectful.

God he sounds dull OP.

The shaving one was prompted by me because I asked if he preferred having stubble (I've seen pics of him with stubble) after I complimented his smooth skin when I met him. I told him I loved stubble too and he said he'd ditch the razors.

Seems just flirty to me.

Notaboutthebass · 12/11/2022 22:51

@meowzeer okay... do I sound uptight?

Ick. Not impressive.

caz198917 · 12/11/2022 22:52

I wouldn't say it's bad to be fair I was expecting something explicit 🤣

CSR721 · 12/11/2022 22:52

I don't understand. These just look like normal conversations? I don't get it.

bagelsandcheese · 12/11/2022 22:53

Looks fine to me. He hasn't said anything bad?

bingotime · 12/11/2022 22:54

Surely you turned the conversation with you comments about your own stubble?!

EmmaC78 · 12/11/2022 22:56

I think it sounds like normal text chat too. Its hardly explicit.

TooBusyGazingAtStarss · 12/11/2022 22:56

Looks like you're looking too much into it.. see how it goes I reckon.

Honesty be thankful it wasn't a dick pic ugh

Beachcomber74 · 12/11/2022 22:58

Having just watched Season 5 of The Crown with Camillagate tapes this is tame!

Notaboutthebass · 12/11/2022 23:00

@bingotime yes but he obviously thought quite explicitly, I could have been taking about my legs!
Thanks for all the comments.

Looks completely harmless to me, which bit don't you like?
After my stint at online dating I can assure you that those texts would be classed as very much normal.

SkylarkSusie · 12/11/2022 23:04

To me it looks as though he is staging flirty / sexual talk so you carry on with that when you do meet. To me the messages would be a turn off as I'd know he was like that with everyone he met online. But I hated O.L.D. so what do I know!

unknown10 · 12/11/2022 23:04

Just looks a bit flirty to me, not that bad

You did mention shaving, a lot of women shave their Mary so I'd expect that reaction from him

SkylarkSusie · 12/11/2022 23:04

Also I find all of that innuendo exhausting and it gets wearing very quickly.

Lollypop701 · 12/11/2022 23:06

By my own admission I can be a prude and I can’t see an issue, just flirty

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 12/11/2022 23:07

Erm, you're messages are just as flirty as him. Actually it looks like you instigated it all!

Notaboutthebass · 12/11/2022 23:08

I just find it tiring how men can turn things around to sex so easily.
Yeah I shave my Mary but I said nothing encouraging. But I can see that maybe he thought I was encouraging him with the shaving comment. I'll just keep the conversation away totally.

Thank you all. I enjoyed his company today, just didn't want to spoil it by over thinking.

I really can’t see any issue at all. This reads like mildly flirtatious chat to me. Certainly not enough to cause any concern.

FatAnneTheDealer · 12/11/2022 23:12

Good grief, you started it!
