@SortingItOut, well said. I was coming back to address the comments by @MrsBerthaRochester. We choose to interact with each other’s individual situations based on an understanding of that person that has been developed over time. We share our thoughts and support each other through everything from the minor to the very major. You clearly don’t understand the dynamic that operates here.

Giving an alternative view is being neither harsh nor horrible. The lady asked if she is sounding like a "nutjob"(her words) and quite frankly she is.
And if a guy had posted half that stuff it would be seen as creepy as hell.
A book I can recommend is Block,Delete,Move on. Deals with the reality of OLD nowadays.

Just to say we haven't seen each other every day for the last 2 years. First started seeing him in my local high st on my lunch time walks at the start of the pandemic but only very occasionally. In the last year been seeing him a but more. Only in the last few months its become more regular then in the last 2 weeks I feel like he’s stepping up. Maybe I am imagining it though.

Not at all, absolutely the right thing to do! Takes the sting out of it all in my experience
