Do any London people on this thread know of any good bars/pubs near Waterloo? A friend has asked me if I know of anywhere and it's been so long since I've been out drinking in London and usually I'm in Camden.

Lots of nice places on the south bank, not anyone in particular to recommend but I've spent many a happy hour there 😊

Sending "Get Well Soon" hugs to all who are poorly and a big welcome to the newbies.

I'm still very loved up with MrMud, we have just spent another fabulous long weekend together, we went to the theatre and sang and danced together, it felt so relaxed and I laughed until my cheeks ached!
He asked if he could take me back to his home city for a weekend (it's a couple of hours drive away) to be introduced to his friends as they want to meet me So we are making plans to do that in the New Year.

Well I also made another decision today. I'm going to look into getting another cat. Mine was lying on the bed looking so sad (almost depressed) earlier and I think she could do with some feline company. So this week I'm going to start looking at rescues to see what they have.

Oh isit definitely get another kitty 😺. Mine is 7 months now, best thing I've ever got.

@Bangheadhere40 mine has spent the past 3 days ignoring me since she went to the vet and got put on a diet. She is literally just sat on the other sofa with her back to me.

Hope you're holding up okay @BelladiMamma pred isn't a bad idea if your chest is bad. Mine just feels like a really bad cold, but it's lasted a lot longer than I anticipated in terms of no sign of improvement.
@Dirtyduck so lovely to hear things are still going well with Mr Mud, it's nice that he wants you to meet his important people!

@Isitreallyme177 i'd love another pug! They are the funniest, cuddliest dogs. Was such a good decision to get her last year. Lot's of work, energy and time but my DS is so happy and proud, showing her off to his class at school.

Lovely to read about the cats, more a doggy person myself but would love a Persian cat (I think they are the ones with big fluffy coats)

I've backed away a touch from Ms Sunglasses, she's struggling to reply, I know she's busy but I feel she's not interested

I've seen Ms YM1 she pressed me again to go around for a chat and cuppa, it was lovely to her and catch up but it's purely friendship. I'm not sure if this is right for me, I'm thinking I should move on but that's easier said than done

I've got a phone call with my doctor next Friday and to be honest, I just feel like crying down the phone. I'm not even thinking about dating at the moment, because I don't want to let anyone see me like this. ❤️

So I've enquired about a cat, he's 8 years old. So there may be a male in my house after all, just 4 legged not 2. Now I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing and whether my chunky madam will be put out, having to share me again. It's a bit like dating all this wondering if I'm doing the right thing.

Just heard from 3rd friend in recent times who's moving into my local town because they've split. There's definitely something about the south coast and this particular city that attracts recently divorced guys. So I now have 3 unattached males - not my type, just friends - who live locally. Not sure where the single females go?

The mice have found another way into the kitchen and I had to chase one out of the house this morning. It was way too cute to kill.

@StartingAgain6369 mine is Persian and requires a LOT of attention. You have to keep on top of the coats, grooming twice a day and always trimming out any knots that appear otherwise you have a nightmare matted coat on your hands!
