Are all men this gross

Ughhhh I've just found out that my partner pees in the garden because he can't be bothered to go upstairs to the bathroom. It's most nights I think although he denied it then admitted it then denied it. .
I actually feel sick and hate the fact he lies about it too.
I hate lying and I hate the thought that he thinks this is ok 🤮

I always thought that using human urine to deter animals was an old wives tale ?, but maybe not

@Dillydollydingdong

Cats do it, dogs do it, horses, cows, all animals do it. It doesn't do any harm. Why is it a problem?
do you want to turn your garden to a big toilet? it will smell horrible when the sun hits.
bluebell34567 · 26/09/2021 13:58

@dworky

Yes, many men do this & it's a power thing. Tradesmen will often piss in a kitchen sink when in a woman's home.
thats horrible and very inconsiderate, disrespectful, etc., etc. and unbelievable.
Hadjab · 26/09/2021 14:00

@FizzyPink

It’s pretty gross but I’ve heard it’s a good fox deterrent. If it kept me from being woken up in the middle of the night by them screeching I’m all for it.
It is a brilliant fox and cat deterrent, but it does need to be the first pee of the day
Eesha · 26/09/2021 14:16

Someone I know regularly pees in the kitchen sink. He has a bedroom downstairs next to the kitchen. Parents upstairs.

2bazookas · 26/09/2021 14:30

All our dogs were trained to pee on command ; for our convenience/discretion when travelling or visiting other homes/ staying in hotels etc but also to renew a nightly fox deterrent around our chicken house.

(Guide dogs for the blind are all trained to pee on command; but as I found out any dog owner can easily do it and it's really useful).

Your garden is a big toilet, every wild animal will be using it as one

TrampolineForMrKite · 26/09/2021 14:44

My Dad does it on the plants, urine is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus so makes a great fertiliser for all kinds of plants. It’s been used since time in memoriam to help plants grow. I seem to remember that Pelagia‘a father does it in Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and she thinks that she will have to remember to wash them before cooking with the plants!

TrampolineForMrKite · 26/09/2021 14:44

Sorry- posted too soon. My point was, ask him to do it on your plants!

whymewhyme · 26/09/2021 14:45

Well, personally I don't know any livestock that has access to a flushing loo and the intellect & opposing thumbs to use one properly.

When they do, my expectations of them might match my expectations of the human male. Hmm

Papershuffle · 26/09/2021 14:49

Try to get him to aim at the compost heap! The nitrogen and moisture stimulates the breakdown of leafy matter.

Skysblue · 26/09/2021 14:50

Yuk grim.

No all men are not that gross. My partner is quite keen on hygiene and got stressed when our toddler weed in the garden. Which, by the way, left nasty yellow ‘singed’ patches on the grass - urine is definitely not good for grass.

The wild animals using your back garden tend to be quite a lot smaller than a human being. Eg hedgehog taking a piss isn't going to be anything like the volume, is it?
fuckoffImcounting · 26/09/2021 15:02

I often widdle in a drain when taking the dog for his last pee - garden is big and private. Where is the harm? Woman and dog sharing a widdling moment. Though I do agree, many men are gross.

Paddington2 · 26/09/2021 15:11

I'd far rather a human pee in my garden, than a dog, yet millions of you see no problem with dogs pissing everywhere.

It's probably better for the environment that he pees outside, saves flushing and using up water.
Would not faze me one bit. Nose picking, though, gross.

summerstayawhile · 26/09/2021 15:11

@HummingBeeBox

My dp picks his nose and pulls nose hair out and flicks it in the living room. I've asked him not to. He doesn't see the issue. Not all men buy lots of men I know are gross
Eww I'm not sure which is worse that's totally gross though too 🤢

It's often against the wall of the house and the brand new shed. I only noticed recently when I walked outside on him. Also if I'm doing the weeding it's a bit grim to think he's pissed on the plants 🤮

My ex had the tendency to clip his nails on the sofa in front of the tv and would often leave the ‘harvest’ on the floor next to his dirty socks where I’d find them then the next morning. Just one of the reasons why he’s an ex.

summerstayawhile · 26/09/2021 15:15

@Noshowwithoutpunch

I'm with you, OP. We have a small passage between our house and garage that leads to our back garden. One warm day the smell coming from there was vile and I'd previously noticed a damp corner where there was mud and rotting leaves accumulating. Turns out he pisses there on a night when he goes to lock up.Apparently it's so he doesn't wake the dc Angry
Ugh it must have smelt like men's toilets 🤮

Seems like a potentially messy way to end the evening - what are you wearing? Don't you have to go and brush your teeth etc if it's bedtime, anyway?

I mean, it's your life and your drain.

Foxes piss a lot, and they piss everywhere when scent marking, and it really stinks, probably worse than human urine

summerstayawhile · 26/09/2021 15:17

Just found out? Surely you must have noticed him going out into the garden at unusual times?

We are not always in the same room together in the evening he'll often sit in the kitchen playing on his phone or in the garden playing with the dogs...

Uh-huh, but I'm not seeing that as a good argument for adding more and larger quantities of urine.

@TurnUpTurnip

My son use to wee in the bin because he didn’t want to go upstairs, I found out when emptying it 🤢
Ugh that wasn't a very nice surprise 🤢
