Warning, gross. LTB, accept it or separate bed/rooms?

I’ve lived with Mr Bertie for around 4 months now. We’ve been together for 3 years, though.

The issue is that he regularly leaves shit stains on the sheets. He sleeps naked, and suffers with IBS, which I think causes the issue.

He works nights, so we’re rarely actually in bed at the same time. However, he will make the bed when the sheets are dirty without saying/ changing them, so then I come to bed and have to change the sheets before I can sleep. This can be two or three times a week.

I’ve asked him to wear pants to bed, or to check and change the sheets before he leaves for work, but he’s not doing either.

I’m fed up with dealing with this literal shit. What would you do?

Why would you want to have sex with it? Do you check his arse before you start?

He is a dirty, disrespectful twat. He thinks you are a bit of shit, hence why he expects you to sleep in his. Is that what you want? Do you deserve that?

If it's genuinely due to IBS and not poor hygiene then I don't think it's gross... If it happens in his own pants and he washes them. What's gross is his horrendous, lazy and probably misogynistic attitude that you'll clean it up. It's disgusting that he thinks so little of you that he's happy for you to sleep on his shit. Big nope.

Ltb: leave the bertie

thenewduchessofhastings · 05/07/2021 23:24

I have IBS and I often sleep naked.I have never left shit stains on the sheets.

It's entirely possible the stains are there because he doesn't bother wiping his arse properly.

MorriseysGladioli · 05/07/2021 23:30

I reckon he probably has a really hairy bumhole.
The poo is sticking to the hair.
Perhaps squeeze a tube of Nair up his bot when it's bare in the night.

Grin some of these comments are pure gold.

We’ve all been toilet trained as kids, she shouldn’t have to tell him to wipe.

He knows what to do, he just doesn’t.

bigbaggyeyes · 06/07/2021 07:28

It might be that he does wipe his arse and he has no control over it!

But he does have control over what he does about it. He could wear pants to bed, he could change the sheets everytime it happens. He control over that! But he CHOOSES to leave the mess for the op to clean up. That would be my issue

When he lived in his own did he sleep in his own shit them?

lockef · 06/07/2021 07:42

I'm sorry but the situation is unacceptable.

I can't believe he isn't 3 years old!

Why are you 4 months in his Mum clearing up his poo-stains?

If I was you I would be wondering how did my life come to this? Confused

grapewine · 06/07/2021 09:42

I'd be so turned off by this that I'd not want to have sex with him. It really is so disrespectful.

80sMum · 06/07/2021 09:55

Hmm, the issue is not that your DP leaves skid marks on the sheets (presumably, it happens during sleep and he can't help it?) but that he doesn't seem to see why you wouldn't want to get into a skid marked bed.
He needs to be told, firmly but politely and clearly, that this is not acceptable and he either must wear underpants in bed or accept that you each will have your own bed for sleeping in.

BobLemon · 09/07/2021 10:00

@Bertiebassethound are you managing to keep your sheets cleaner than Jordan Pickford’s? Have you had another go at persuading your DP that 300 tc cotton is not a substitute for Cushelle? Has he JUST PUT SOME BLUMIN PANTS ON yet?

Kick his shitty arse out.

MorriseysGladioli · 10/07/2021 01:52

Never have a 69 with him.

Cloudninenine · 10/07/2021 05:46

LTB. Do not spend your one and only precious life with someone who has so little regard for you they expect you to sleep in their shit.

JustAnotherOldMan · 10/07/2021 07:14

Yuk, that’s pretty grim if IBS is causing him to soil the sheets that’s pretty bad, should be wearing pants or PJ shorts in bed,
