Warning, gross. LTB, accept it or separate bed/rooms?

I’ve lived with Mr Bertie for around 4 months now. We’ve been together for 3 years, though.

The issue is that he regularly leaves shit stains on the sheets. He sleeps naked, and suffers with IBS, which I think causes the issue.

He works nights, so we’re rarely actually in bed at the same time. However, he will make the bed when the sheets are dirty without saying/ changing them, so then I come to bed and have to change the sheets before I can sleep. This can be two or three times a week.

I’ve asked him to wear pants to bed, or to check and change the sheets before he leaves for work, but he’s not doing either.

I’m fed up with dealing with this literal shit. What would you do?

OP posts:
Shorthairlady · 05/07/2021 00:28

That would give me hulk rage and is a sacking offence. Sorry.

Aquamarine1029 · 05/07/2021 00:29

This is going to be harsh, but it's true... If you accept this and stay with him you're as minging as he is. There is nothing about this that is acceptable, and he clearly couldn't give a fuck about how you feel about it.

84Win · 05/07/2021 00:29

Absolutely awful, that you've raised it and he continues to ignore the issue. It shows a complete lack of regard for you in every way.

I certainly wouldn't want him in my bed with his blasé attitude about the situation.

Lalliella · 05/07/2021 00:35

That’s really gross. He doesn’t respect you at all. You know this relationship has run its course don’t you? Total dealbreaker. I’m sorry.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 05/07/2021 00:35

So up until 4 months ago he wore pants in bed. Now he lives with you he can’t possibly be expected to wear pants in bed even if it means getting shit all over it? LTfilthyB or at least make him move back out. He has no respect for you - or himself. We’re all human, sometimes these things happen, but it’s how you deal with it that’s the important thing, and leaving skiddy pants on the floor for you to pick up, or shit streaks on the toilet are gross enough, but on the bed sheets, just no.

Ginkeepsmesane · 05/07/2021 00:36

Two words.... Puppy pads.

He can't be arsed (excuse the pun) to sort himself out, then he doesn't get to decide how to deal with it.
Treat it like the disgusting habit it is.

Id text him a picture of it Every. Single. Time. Too
Id also suggest stripping your clean sheets off in the morning and telling him he'll have to remake the bed with the previous dirty sheets, as he's not soiling another set. However he might then sleep on the bare mattress?

fairynick · 05/07/2021 00:36

The worst part is that thinking when he was single/lived alone, he would have just gone back to bed again in the evening with his shit stained bedding still on. Envy
Sorry OP, he’s grim. Get rid.

PickAChew · 05/07/2021 00:40

Bleurgh.

pallisers · 05/07/2021 00:40

If it happened once it would be a bit ick. That it happens all the time, he refuses to wear pants, and he DOESN"T CHANGE THE SHEETS ... honestly I have no idea how I could live with him, have sex with him, or treat him as a normal human being.

3 months in I'd boot him and tell him why.

pallisers · 05/07/2021 00:41

and I know it is 3 months in of living together not 3 months in relationship but still ... the disrespect is incredible. he expects you to sleep in a bed with sheets stained with his shit.

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 05/07/2021 00:42

YANU because I can't believe you're even asking. Kick him out.

Houseofvelour · 05/07/2021 00:43

He needs incontinence pads and if he continues to sleep naked and not change the sheets, he's a selfish, disgusting twat and you could do better.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 05/07/2021 00:43

I'd have dumped him the first time I ever saw him do that at the dating stage. Dealbreaker. He's not wiping or cleaning his arse.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 05/07/2021 00:45

He is literally treating you like shit. This would be over.

3Britnee · 05/07/2021 00:46

@CrouchEndTiger12

That's beyond the pale of what he can expect you to put up with.

Medication? If he is regularly following through surely he needs to do something.

I would be tempted to sleep without a pad / tampon and remake the bed and leave him to clean it...but really I couldn't do that.

Move back out Grin

This dirty bastard would probably sleep in it anyway 😂
ChilliChoco · 05/07/2021 00:52

So what has he said when you mentioned it?

This will play out that either he gets his act together and sorts his sh*t out ( quite literally,).
Or he doesn't. This could be cos he is a bit dippy or not phased by it like you
In that scenario, you have a choice- you live with it and adapt and continue to change the sheets.
Or you LTB. But do you need to do that over this?

osbertthesyrianhamster · 05/07/2021 00:53

There was one of those 'what was the straw that broke the camel's back moments' wrt relationships and one of them was living with a minger. He got up and did what your boyfriend does once and that was it. Because if he's as disgusting as this in bed you can be sure it's the tip of the iceberg.

Anordinarymum · 05/07/2021 00:59

OP How old is he ?

FlyingBattie · 05/07/2021 01:00

Who the hell voted YABU?
He can wear pants, clean his arse, or get single beds/ sleep in separate rooms.

Derbee · 05/07/2021 01:02

Disgusting. Get rid

Ari202 · 05/07/2021 01:03

I’m sure I read this exact same post a couple of weeks ago.

ARealTrip · 05/07/2021 01:03

He has no respect for you, Easy to wear shorts to bed to sleep, but he is fine with you stripping shitty bedding. This says so much about how he will treat you going forward,it’s like he wants to punish you and wants you to do this. My DH would be mortified and it would only happen once and he would try everything he could to not make it happen again and certainly not make me clear it up.

Gooseysgirl · 05/07/2021 01:14

🤮 inexcusable. LTB

TheNestedIf · 05/07/2021 01:15

I'm amazed you're even considering separate bedrooms. Who finds Shitty McShitArse appealing, niche interests aside? Even if you have a medical issue, you deal with it hygienically, like an adult.

He has committed a dumping offence and that, in my books, is a dumping offence.

DramaAlpaca · 05/07/2021 01:16

Grim.
