HOW DID YOU CATCH CHEATING

Partner still in contact with ow almost previously!
Want to find out if anything going on still.
Ideas please?

I suppose the main thing I have realised as I write all these things down is I almost feel like I don't know this person anymore. He has surprised and disappointed me.
When we were young we didn't have much but we're just happy together but he is very appearance/clothes/vehicles/conscious. He was a teenager when we met and we were happy but now I feel he is always looking at the next item of clothing or vehicle etc. It feels like he is never satisfied for long. He gets something and the next day is looking at something else. He earns a lot more money than me and is very generous but I don't like it that he won't ever wear non designer clothes etc. I secretly find this very superficial. If his trainers/shoes get a mark on them it's a major disaster. I feel he is very materialistic and he wasn't as much in the past. He watches programs where everything is glamorous and I can imagine him mixing with these people as he is confident of himself. When we were younger I felt like I had the upper hand and he wanted me more than me wanting him. But now I feel he is very confident of my love and loyalty to him.
He also knows I earn a lot less than him so it would be more difficult for me getting own place etc.
I feel he doesn't respect me like he used to. He isn't horrible to my face but by the things he does behind my back he has no conscious.
