How can I become more attractive?

WhereHaveAllTheUsernamesGone · 11/01/2021 21:39

Just that really.

I know it's a vague question and not one with a simple answer but I'm just feeling really unattractive.

How can I make myself more attractive?

OP posts:
Givemeabreak88 · 11/01/2021 21:45

Make up? Nice clothes? Confidence...

Bree25 · 11/01/2021 21:47

I’m sure you are beautiful and no man should make you feel like your not enough !!
However I do understand the question as I’ve felt the same

Physically

  • Botox (I did this recently , loved it)
  • micro blading / tattooing eyebrows (had this too and really loved it )
  • fillers , lips if there thin , cheeks if losing definition etc
  • treat yourself to some nice new makeup , a nice skin hydrator , nyx bare is only £11 and brilliant and making your face instantly look better with no makeup ,
  • face creams
  • veneers / composite veneers (I would love these done but can’t afford it
  • exercising , losing weight or toning up if needed
  • new wardrobe , treat yourself to some new clothes ,
Wow don’t I sound shallow 😂 x
ComtesseDeSpair · 11/01/2021 21:49

Strength training. Lift weights. When you’re really fit you know you look good. Plus you feel like you can do anything. And confidence is really sexy and attractive.

What makes you think you’re unattractive?

DianaT1969 · 11/01/2021 21:49

I feel the same. For me, exercise, yoga and toning would make the most difference. Plus better posture. A decent haircut when salons open again.

Bree25 · 11/01/2021 21:49

If you don’t mean physically and more your personality that’s harder to work on believe me I’ve tried but what about ..

  • taking up a new hobby , something you can use to talk about as a focal point
  • work on your confidence
-therapy if your suffering with any kind of major insecurities or anxieties
Fgs1 · 11/01/2021 21:50

Smile, laugh, appreciate life and be confident

Plonque · 11/01/2021 21:51

Honestly, if you're not blessed with good genes then it's going to cost you. A lot.
If you're not willing to really throw money at it, get on Instagram and YouTube and learn to do make up properly. And even then, good make up is ££££!

Bree25 · 11/01/2021 21:51

Adding on from my list of physical things you could do , I frequently get my nails and eyelashes done and that helps my confidence , you could try that once lockdown is over or what about doing something with your hair ? Extensions ? Highlights ?

CatherinedeBourgh · 11/01/2021 21:52

Stop thinking of yourself in terms of how others view you, try to be however will make you happy.

Newfor2021 · 11/01/2021 21:54

Laugh! It makes everyone so much more attractive and appealing

ruthieness · 11/01/2021 21:55

We are attracted to people who make us feel good about ourselves....

"Darling, you are brilliant!"
repeat daily!!

Definitelynotlazy · 11/01/2021 21:57

What is it about yourself that you think is unattractive?

StealthRoast · 11/01/2021 21:58

I honestly believe you can fake it till you make it. When you feel good you look good, hold your head high, check your posture, carry yourself with confidence, wear clothes that make you feel good etc etc.

In the meantime, make a list of things that you want to change ie new make up, hair, a new perfume, exercise, etc etc. choose one thing at a time, tick it off and don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

I can look much more attractive than I am if I want/need to by doing certain things but even if I don’t i know I look ok as I am because I’ve got confidence.

KitchKlassic · 11/01/2021 22:00

Lip fillers never look good so I would avoid those. Botox can be subtle and make you look "refreshed". I had it done before Christmas and amazingly no one has noticed. Not my DH, my mum or even my eagle-eyed sister but they've all mentioned I look "well" and "rested" Grin I'll tell them eventually! I can still move my eyebrows though so I think that's why it's not obvious, I don't have a completely frozen, shiny forehead. So if you were to go down that route find a doctor with a light touch.

Confidence is attractive so work on that first and foremost. Women are conditioned to put far too much stock on physical appearance (says she of the Botoxed forehead Blush) but I completed a masters last year and it gave me a confidence boost I never knew I needed. I worked my arse off to get a first and it lead to a dream job opportunity. I felt accomplished in a way physical appearance could never match.

Eckhart · 11/01/2021 22:05

By worrying less about how attractive you are. Unless you want to attract people who are attracted to superficiality.

Well done on getting your masters, Kitchen. Flowers

Kitch- and a pox on autocorrect!

IBCS · 11/01/2021 22:12

When you get older, you really won’t give a shit so stop worrying about it

PersonaNonGarter · 11/01/2021 22:15

It’s all about confidence and fun.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 11/01/2021 22:22

Making other people feel more attractive will attract them to you.

diamondpony80 · 11/01/2021 22:34

Exercise always boosts my confidence in myself. Doesn’t make you more attractive but it does boost your self esteem I think. I feel more attractive when I wear make up and make an effort to dress well (which is rarely these days as there’s nowhere to go). I’m not really bothered about how I look right now tbh.

PoulePouletteEternellement · 11/01/2021 22:41

What makes you think you’re unattractive?

As this is in 'Relationships' I'm assuming either a partner or a prospective partner has shown themselves to be attracted to someone other than the OP?

Pretty horrified to discover here that freezing our faces is now considered a prerequisite to finding a partner.

Worst · 11/01/2021 22:42

I’m sure you already are attractive OP. Who is it you are wanting to attract? Has someone made you feel bad, are you trying to attract a particular person, or is it just for you?

No one has said that...Hmm
Eesha · 11/01/2021 23:29

For me, I feel attractive when I've blow dried my hair, done my nails, waxed and threaded everything, done regular exercise even just walking, natural make up and great clothes. At present I'm in a onesie but I like to transform, stars in their eyes style, sometimes!
