No breakfast after DTD

So I’m not sure if I’m being unreasonable, and need advice! Been dating a guy ..we’ve had 6 dates & had dinner at his last night (we’ve both had Covid before I’m flamed!). Was discussed beforehand that I’d stay. So he cooks me a lovely dinner, I stay, we DTD. All good. DTD again in the morning then get he gets up. I have a cup of tea then he says he has to walk the dog & then going for a run... it’s obvious then he’s not going to make me a coffee (I asked) or make me breakfast before I go. So I leave but tbh feel pretty pee’d off as it was all a bit efficient and kind of thought it would be nice to offer me breakfast before I go! Am I being precious? It’s not a work day but a Sunday! Am thinking maybe he got what he wanted and just wanted me gone? Not sure if this is a red flag or he’s just been a batchelor for so long he’s just is entrenched in his routine...what would you think?

First time I’ve stayed over yes. He did cook me an amazing dinner. Just can’t seem to shake off how brusque it was once we got up.

Also.. For all the adults saying they don’t eat breakfast I’m sure you’re aware that other people do and that if you’ve had an overnight guest, you would offer food / coffee and not try and rush them out the door on a Sunday morning. Unless you were trying to get rid..

Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:37

@Mycircusmymonkey that’s not what I meant, I meant I felt that in general about him. Not because of the breakfast!

Ew no that's not nice. However all is not lost because when I first slept with DH (He slept over at my hotel after our first date - shock/horror) I kind of wanted him to go quite quickly so could have a bit of time to myself to compute the new intimacy. When I stayed at his the following week he did make me toast in the morning though but that was the extent of it, single man = no food in !

Prisonbreak · 20/12/2020 22:40

I don’t drink tea or coffee and I never eat breakfast. I wouldn’t occur to me to offer someone else as I have never had to think about morning meals/drinks for over 15 years. If I was at someone’s house and they made me breakfast I’d feel so awkward and force it down to be polite. Everyone is different

Londoncatshed · 20/12/2020 22:40

I would have thought if he was keen he would have asked you to come and walk the dog, or stay in bed while he did. Go with your instincts and you will probably be right.
Even if this is just his personality, do you really want to date someone like this?

Mycircusmymonkey · 20/12/2020 22:41

Ah gotcha! Thought that was a bit of a leap!

Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:41

It just felt a bit cold. But maybe I’m reading too much into it. Just hate the thought that maybe he got the conquest & got rid. Either way it was insensitive...

Normally one would say they'd take dog fir a walk and walk you to the bus / tube etc to politely see you on your way.

Though I'd have offered breakfast in a cafe nearby but that not possible now.

It could just be awkwardness. He maybe thought you'd come for walk? Or that you had plans for the day.

As he texted today I'd assume it's okay, maybe text back later in week to say hello and be normal.

Neverbeme · 20/12/2020 22:41

It does sound like he kicked you out as soon as he could. Very rude.

Did he invite you to walk the dog with him?

Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:42

@Londoncatshed no I’m not sure I do.

Strange how was the DTD? Did it feel like he got what he wanted or like there was a connection?

Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:43

No invite to walk with him no.

Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:44

@chickychicchic it felt like there was a connection.

That’s completely shit. I started dating a guy months ago and after so many dates we slept together. He ordered a takeaway then in the morning he made me breakfast and ran me a bath.

Some decent guys do exist, have you heard from him since? If not it’s pretty obvious what he wanted worry

MuckyPlucky · 20/12/2020 22:45

To be fair: I usually have a regular Sunday run or cycling plan and when I got together with DP he cottonned on that although we’d spend Saturday nights together/DTD etc as soon as it gets to Sunday morning I’m up and out on my run/bike ride. It’s just my way of life.
Luckily it’s his way of life too so we’re happy.
But maybe if you’re not in that kind of routine/scene it felt a bit weird to you?

twolip · 20/12/2020 22:45

Making excuses for his behaviour such as he's entrenched in his routine, on the spectrum, means you know it wasn't right.

AccidentallyOnSanta · 20/12/2020 22:46

Did you talk about what would happen the next morning?
Did he leave you in his flat to wait for him or make it clear you had to leave when he did?

category12 · 20/12/2020 22:46

Yes, I could understand the no breakfast bit if he's not a breakfast eater himself or, say, if he had nothing but cocopops in and would have been embarrassed to offer you it, but I'd have thought inviting you on the dog walk would be fairly natural on a Sunday morning.

Depends how you feel tomorrow, what sort of contact he follows up with, if any.

Raidblunner · 20/12/2020 22:46

Forgive my naivety but what on earth does DTD stand for?

CharlotteRose90 · 20/12/2020 22:47

Did the deed
Notanotherfreak · 20/12/2020 22:48

@Raidblunner ‘do the deed’ - have sex.

Don’t think it’s the end of the world.

My husband and I still joke about a Sunday in the early days when he literally walked me to the bus stop so that I would go home.

I was hurt but he just wanted some time to himself that afternoon.

We are still together (and happy) 23 years later.

VodselForDinner · 20/12/2020 22:49

@Notanotherfreak

So I was out of the house by 9.15.
Ouch.

I’d have been tempted to check the nightstand to see if he left you cash Confused

Aquamarine1029 · 20/12/2020 22:51

I would not be impressed.
