I didn't realise I'd have to start a new thread - it's amazing the amount of people that have offered advice / made me laugh, it's appreciated

It was the strangest thing! Yes Yeo Valley yoghurts and milk Confused

I've not been able to change the locks but I've double locked the door this afternoon, as he doesn't have a key for the bottom lock

I do however, have his bike at mine (which won't fit in my car, only his)

I'm loving the new cocklodger. He's beautiful. So glad you got rid of the human one.
Mine walked out last December and thought he could walk back in in January. (Got out of xmas present buying.) I tossed him a roll of bin liners and told him he had 2 hours to clear his stuff. I wish he'd flounced sooner.
I haven't looked back!

I love the cat pics, he looks lovely and looks very much like my black cat (though she's female and smaller. Smile

wizzywig · 27/10/2020 09:25

Arse, it's been posted

He's very handsome! I'm a black cat addict - our lovely 16 year old man died just over a week ago after spending his whole life with us. We have two gorgeous 3 year old girl cats but he was the dude. Miss him so much 🖤

So I'm late to the party but this is the best thread everGrin
OP I really admire your strength when dealing with The Token Thief, no hand wringing or messing about, just packed his shit and that was that. Good on you. Flowers
Your new addition is gorgeous, I have a very naughty grey one but don't know how to include a picture.Blush

Well I've never had a cat that chooses to relax in the kind of positions this one doesGrin

All going well so far, he's met my other cat briefly and it was a mild success

He slept on my youngest DC's head all night - son was the happiest I've seen him in a while!

That is one relaxed, cool cat - Superb pic! That's brilliant re cat bonding with DS2; now he has a real friend.

So glad this plan is working out so well for you and your family.

He's very much missed 😢

HaggieMaggie · 27/10/2020 22:04

Love it! A big, lovely cat in place of a big waste of space. A fair swap.

MidnightBlue28 · 27/10/2020 22:36

This is my best friend... except when he wakes me at 05:30 demanding breakfast

DP cross there's no food - part 2
TheLoveOfMoney · 29/10/2020 11:16

OP, you haven't been dabbling in the black arts and turned your ex into a cat? Just sensing some similarities here... instantly at home, making himself comfortable, letting you buy all the food.... Halloween Grin

ImaginaryCat · 29/10/2020 12:12

Or @TheLoveOfMoney the ex is the one who's been dabbling in black magic. He's hit upon a genius way to get his old lifestyle back... turn into a cat. That way, not only does the OP feed him, let him sleep for 16 hours a day wherever he wants, tickle his belly, etc, but she'll tell him he's a beautiful boy the whole time she does it.

This really does highlight how much cats take us for suckers. I don't let my DH or DCs get away with a fraction of the shit my cat dishes out. And I love the murderous little fucker more than them sometimes!

droopyears · 29/10/2020 13:29

This cat is far too affectionate to be my ex in disguise!

He's met my other puss - I think it's safe to say they're getting on very well Smile
