How did you meet your OH

Haven't seen one of these threads for a while... so.... how did you meet your OH?

By throwing myself at him whilst I was off my tits drunk in a nightclub over 20 years ago.

Through a game we both play.
ExH through a mutual friend.

I went on a 1 day course and he was on it. He knew the person I had gone with.

Through work. I don't work 'with' him but we work for the same company and one of my colleagues knew him already and introduced us

I met my ex because I crashed my car into his, we had a lovely relationship till ex mil ruined it!!

Through a friend who ‘just saw it’. Our first date was in a tractor, I brought pasties and stayed in the cab for nine hours, until 2am. We are now married 💗

Another OLD

Tinder. I was his first OLD. I was about to give up on dating and get a dog

School. We started dating when I was just turning 16. Though we had a few break-time snogs in the lead up to getting together.

We are 40 now (well I am soon), he’s just turned... and we are married and best friends.

My husband was my boss at work, charming man and I fell for him big time, we have been married 55 years and I still think he is lovely.

At a mutual friends engagement party

OLD here too. I was the first date he had after joining. The poor soul 🤣

I joined a synagogue and became friends with a lovely older lady. She said she had a son, and would I like to meet him? It was DH!

We were about 17 and I was texting his best friend who I met a few times but felt no romantic feelings for. Me and DH became good friends but didnt date for another 2years and now together 8years

Pub. 20 years ago. Been married 15 years.

At university...I made a very drunken pass at him at a union 80s disco!
Been together 29 years

I've nc because a lot of people know this story. I met DH for the first time when I was 17 and doing a summer job in the office of the factory where he worked. I will always remember that first meeting, he had his work equipment in one hand and a fag in the other. He never remembered this and was amazed that I did.

I then moved into a flat at the bottom of the main road adjacent to the factory, with my then boyfriend. I saw DH waiting at the bus stop after his shift regularly.

2 years later I split with the boyfriend and got a job in a local social club. DH was on the committee and we became friendly. He then asked me out for a bet (which he denied strenuously for years) and we were inseparable after that for 20 years until his death. I am still aggrieved he didn't remember our first meeting

Went to church to shut my vicar mother up but went to a 'trendy' one in the nearest city and ended up meeting him, he was awesome. Ended up going back, were friends for years, then something clicked.

8 years later

Sixth form we've been together half my life now!

Ex husband at uni, met and moved in together the same day! Lasted 20 yrs

Am now single and OLD but ready to give up so crashing the thread for any good news stories!
