Dating site recommendations?

I’m sort of dipping a toe in at my advanced age! I’m 55 and the only site I’ve tried so far is Match. It’s probably a reflection of my age but I’ve found it dire - so depressing! Does anyone have any suggestions or am I destined to die lonely?! Thank you,

Daet it’s all in the mindset . Us ladies are programmed to hate our bodies so the beauty industry can benefit from our insecurities but the reality is that most blokes would really f...ck a ham sandwich as someone said and they need to consider themselves lucky to have my time and company with or without my extra pounds .Know your worth sister

@redland12 sorry only just seen your post. Ive got Hinge on my phone - didn’t try iPad to be honest as it’s so easy on phone.

I’m getting on very well on it Grin

Really easy to use and go through. I’ve had a few conversations, met 3, eliminated 2 (one was so fun on messsges but completely boring and looked a lot older) other was really lovely to chat to, but no spark.....and number 3 was awesome and we are going away this weekend

OP there's an active dating thread on this board which you might find helpful - lots of hints, tips and sharing experiences. Lots of people (including me) have found someone online. I found all the sites to be much of a muchness, to be honest. Lots of men are on all of them 😂

Mermaid don’t despair yet. Maybe he’s busy or at work or any number of reasons.

@Daet oh definitely think I'm not good enough. My head tells me I am but my heart says otherwise. I feel really sad about it. I don't want to think that I will live the rest of my life lonely and without love and physical contact.

Daet, I’m on more than one site! Don’t worry about it. Just go for it! Life’s too short. You will meet someone, it’s deflating sometimes. They seem keen and then BANG! They are gone! I don’t get it! 🌹
