I’m sort of dipping a toe in at my advanced age! I’m 55 and the only site I’ve tried so far is Match. It’s probably a reflection of my age but I’ve found it dire - so depressing! Does anyone have any suggestions or am I destined to die lonely?! Thank you,

I’m contemplating Tinder but a bit worried that I’ll be walking round town and everyone will be thinking “oh I saw her on Tinder last night!”.

I've done the swiping left thing too if I see someone who I think is out of my league. It's like they couldn't possibly consider me, but of we don't try we won't know?

Tinder is worth a try. I don’t think there is a stigma to being on tinder anymore. If someone sees you on there it’s because they’re on there too!

I don’t know Sally. I think some of the dating sites arrange meet up type things but I think the pressure to perform and impress would be too much for me!

I struggle so much with self confidence - in essence, I’m not opposed to a fwb especially as I have been without sex for years . But how to get over the confidence issue? I’m not terribly overweight, but I am 55, and I’m not at all fit.
