The Rules:

  1. The first rule about the dating thread is don't talk about it with people you're dating.
  2. Develop a thick skin.
  3. Do not invest emotionally too soon.
  4. It's all BS until it actually happens.
  5. Trust your gut instinct.
  6. People vanishing, lying & being generally weird is not your fault.
  7. Know your worth.
  8. If it's not fun, stop.
  9. Loo update is mandatory.
10. No dating the thread. 11. Treat others as you'd like to be treated 12. Any relationship you have that could get ruined by having a conversation about your feelings, standards and/or expectations wasn't really stable enough to begin with 13. The things you choose to ignore/ tolerate now are the reasons you will break up in the future

Same to @LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn and @NoMoreWeepingAndWanking glad you're not staying in with ex, that wouldn't have helped hiw you were feeling earlier. Go out and have a good night!

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:05

Think date is off, I've just had really dodgy stomach

I fucking hate my life sometimes

Undecidedsofa · 11/01/2020 20:09

@shitwithsugaron no, nothing, just a hug and a 'lovely to meet you'...doesnt bode well?
sorry @UncorrectedDoormat, I read it as DS, too
@LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn. noooooooooo.....

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:10

@Undecidedsofa honestly my life is just.... ggrrrr. Putting it mildly. I have a sensitive stomach. Fuck knows what's done it this time

Jane1978xx · 11/01/2020 20:13

@LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn could you have ibs ?

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:15

@Jane1978xx probably, I'm always careful with what I eat but today I've had cake, cider, trifle....

Just normal things but I often stick to bland stuff to avoid this

Ant330 · 11/01/2020 20:21

That doesn't sound a great combo @LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn I've got IBS and avoid wheat, and cider gives me bad indigestion. Have you got any imodium?

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:25

@Ant330 I feel a real idiot now, I wish I hadn't eaten anything today now.

I do have Imodium and rennie tablets, and some omeprazole.

Stillsexystillsingle · 11/01/2020 20:29

Also not feeling great at the moment lots going on and it would be so lovely not to be spending yet another Saturday night home alone it would be so lovely to have someone to go out or stay in with and to have sex with! Mr Yorkshireman has not messaged me since Tuesday. So maybe that's the end of that one. Mr pep still fancies me but still hasn't asked me out gaaah!!! I'm just going to have to ask him aren't I?! Btw if not replying to a message makes you bad on your phone then so am I! I often do that reply the next day. I can find all the messaging a bit overwhelming tbh. I'm more about the in person meets.

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:33

It's funny Ant I often eat wheat- crackers, plain bread etc as it doesn't seem to affect me but I know for a lot of people it does

I avoid spicy food, too much rich food, too much alcohol. I probably shouldn't have had the cider but sometimes it doesn't do anything. There's no consistency with it

MissHx · 11/01/2020 20:37

Hmm maybe Mr Shot is just rubbish on his phone, maybe he’s just not that into me/into a proper relationship. Feeling a bit sad, I’ve left the ball in his court, so we shall see.

I really like him maybe that’s why I’m a bit sad, but don’t wanna waste any time on someone who’s not 100% into me!

Ant330 · 11/01/2020 20:50

Same here @LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn some things affect me worse than others, biscuits, bread and stuffing are my worst ones 🤷‍♂️
I try to avoid all wheat now apart from beer 😂 oh and strangely McDonalds has no effect on me whatsoever, thankfully!
An imodium might at least block you up for the night.

Undecidedsofa · 11/01/2020 20:51

@LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn you have my sympathies, DD has coeliac disease & I react badly to gluten, it’s awful when you don’t know what it’s been that has affected you, and nothing you can do about it.
Nothing helps me or DD , but buscapan seems to ease nausea
Hope you feel better soon.

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 11/01/2020 20:56

@Ant330 and @Undecidedsofa thankyou.

Yeah it's very frustrating when sometimes it's fine and other times I react to stuff. I think I'm going to just have to knock cider on the head. Or at least stuff like thatchers, seems more acidic than the magners kind.

I'm feeling ok now except for my stomach acid- I'm wondering whether to try omeprazole again for a bit.

Sorry for the detail! I'm gutted, I really wanted to go out tonight. Honestly it's like my child free weekends are cursed. I'm cursed tbh. 😂
