I have a date!
Tomorrow night, Mr Joiner, we are going to a wine bar - yippee!
His chat is good and his body type is definitely my type so I just need to see if that in person attraction is there.
Now what to wear??

Funnily enough I matched with a guy I went to school with and we arranged to meet up- he cancelled on me two or three times and I deleted him after that. After months of not speaking he actually phoned my work a couple of months ago to try and get hold of me- it actually freaked me out! Then I saw on tinder recently he super liked me- he must really want to see me! Shouldn't have messed me about earlier on should he.

@TigsytheTiger I think I'd have done the same to be honest. You know you are genuine but he doesn't as he's never met you before so I would be thinking they weren't that bothered to see me after cancelling twice and he could have other options I guess?

Dancemom, that sounds a perfect outfit! My first date outfit is normally black jeans, heeled boot and then top according to time is day or venue

Mr Rugby and I agreed to meet tonight on Sunday, a quick hello text yesterday but no confirmation of plans, do I drive 30 mins to be potentially stood up? or is it taken that it's a date?

@shitwithsugaron a nice shirt/blouse? I am a sucker for anything animal print personally so would probably go with something like that..or I have a black, lace close fitting top which I wear a vest underneath.

What about your second option from the weekend? Was it you who had pleather trousers and a blouse or am I getting you confused with someone else..?

I would dress for a date the same as if I was going to that place with friends but maybe a bit more effort on hair and make up.

Related question. If you have irons come round do you wear your normal at home clothes / hair and makeup or get ‘dressed up’. I get dressed up (jeans and top) and do my hair and make up as usually I’m in pjs or some scabby old sports wear 🤷🏼‍♀️. Obviously they see you naked and with no make up at some point but I like to make the effort. Maybe it stops at some point 😂

@shit I have a couple of what I would call nice tops! My current one is from monsoon and is a floral type top..

I haven't had time to wash it though from last night though...need some more clothes! For my second date with Mr Smile I was much more casual....need more clothes!

jane for entertaining at home I go for a clean but scruffy look. Ripped jeans, clean tshirt, washed hair and simple make up. If it’s a shag I might forget to put on knickers 😉

I wore a grey jumper dress with knee high boots on my last date and a blue knitted dress (it's sexier than it sounds, big skit which shows a lot of leg and is quite body con) on the date before that.

My jeans are looking a bit scruffy and I don't really have many nice tops- it's either jumpers or band t-shirts 😀 I do have nice dresses and skirts though and nice boots
