I think you're probably having the talk worth him. But just in case you're not yet:

A rare few do tell the truth. Most don't. Most Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim Order ( DARVO)

If he does tell you, it's likely that he'll minimise.

He'll have been living in the cake eating paradise where cheaters never get caught and will have avoided thinking about the consequences of getting found out.

Also be prepared for him to be cruel / lash out and blame you in some way. It's part of the script.

Another thing he may do is cry to stop you asking questions and to make you look after him

Both of these are ways to make himself the victim and to try to get your to fix things for him.

Don't play into that game. Don't comfort him and don't defend yourself. Bring him back to the subject.

Good luck. Be prepared, he may well deny everything. That's why people "Facebook stalk people and things like that" - it's to get the truth as cheaters often follow the script.
