Lovely meal out last night, I ate too much though! Slept fairly well & ready for another day at the office. 😉 Off tomorrow, so extended weekend. Off to an agricultural show on Saturday, I think.

Amazingly, the house stayed tidy yesterday - they obviously listened to me!!

Just back from the allotment, sat with a cup of coffee.
84 - so not worrying, which is good, but pain, which is bad . Just like life really
Horse - the DC are growing up then :) - mine are so much better than when they lived at home. Now they know the magic fairy doesn't come and do the work!
MrsJ - not quite so stressful, hopefully, as they are your parents , but I bet you will be running around like a mad thing, nevertheless!
Chasing - hope work isn't too bad , but I think its the heat that is worse - I think you are in the middle of the worst area for heat , its bad enough here
Willow hope all okay , and the DS's aren't driving you to distraction :)
I am going to be lurking indoors today - hottest so far it seems, but starting with thundery showers this afternoon.
I do have an appointment at the dentist ( just a check up ) this afternoon , so will do any necessary bits of shopping then.
SIL and her husband are visiting tomorrow for lunch , so need want to have a good tidy round , change all the towels etc this afternoon .

Very hot here again. Sleeping downstairs as it is cooler. Bumble scared me witless last night. Fell asleep and then about 10.20pm he suddenly set up a tantivy of barking and hurled himself bodily at the patio doors scrabbling at the glass as well. No idea what it was but he continued for ages and I was too scared to either let him out or look. In the end I stormed upstairs and Mum slept with him whereupon he was silent all sodding night!!!!!! [ hmm]
One of my dearest friends popped in this morning with his little girl which was fab. We then walked to the shop and I bought her some sweets.
Looking forward to Macbeth this evening...

35°c here when I got in my car this afternoon!
It did feel very hot from lunchtime onwards but we've just had 30 seconds of rain & it feels a bit better now. It's thundering & the road is actually steaming!

We've had another grand day on the beach/in the pool. Rain forecast all day tomorrow so an explore round town and swimming no doubt and that's that - how quick its flown by. DD said she doesn't want to leave and I think DS would say the same.

Trying to get hold of my aunt to.go visit tomortow but she is never in! Tried thrice over 2 days😀

Went to town with ds2 for coffee and went to 2 charity shops about collecting all my stuff but one doesn't have collection service as they were doing it themselves and were told to stop. Oh well one will get most of it i am not lugging it all there myself. Hope BHF bring a big van!

Now tucked up. Hopefully no repeat of last night. Macbeth was fabulous. Then my friend who came round this morning was at the pub so I stayed with him for an hour. Don't drink much now so think I will be suffering in the morning!!!!

We went to the beach tonight 🙂 Just had an hour watching the waves and paddling - saw a seal all on his own. 🙂 So very cute and inquisitive, he was looking at us and we were looking at him!

Well, I made a great big pan of veg pickle last night , was a long hot job - took so much longer than I anticipated, but hey, I have 6 big jars stored away now .
SIL and her husband coming for about noon, so have whizzed around , had a shower , last minute hoover etc to do yet , ( does everyone do this ?- its basically neat and tidy anyway ....)
Due more thunderstorms and rain this afternoon, so I am not going to fret about watering today :)

Oh lordy give me strength!

Blitzing kids bedroom and packing as we and i use we in its loosest sense go. Now have 2 more boxes of books and bin bag of toys for charity shop😲 ds1 is permanently 'tired' and stopping i am demented but carrying on regardless😁 dont know why they have a bin in thier room the amiunt of wrappers and crumbs between the storage units where they sit at consuls😀

Well all thats getting done today, cant hoover cos the small one wouldnt cope with the whole room. Wrapping up a million large delicate lego models in bubble wrap and boxing them up was fun

Couldnt get an answer at clinics so havent managed to change my appointments for something earlier in day yet. Getting home after 5pm when kids are back at school is no use and I cant keep asking people to swap shifts with me for hospital appoints its going to get annoying very quickly.

Clouds came and went and house still hot despite strong cool breeze outside and all the windows open! Am melting!

Book have found a Sally Army charity shop nearby so will phone them to see if they collect and half it between them and BHF. Think there is a local Voluntary Service shop too so might try there.

Should be making jam but just want to sit down for a bit!

Enjoy MM2 84 Think I will have to wait till the dvd comes out, dont think the kids will want to go see it with me might go when they are back at school on my day off though?

Apparently i have been 'unsuccessful' with 2 of the newer properties I have bid on, maybe the other 2 aren't allocated yet? Fingers crossed.

We travel to FIL tomorrow, stay the night and home Sunday. I'm back to work on Monday. Just doing 3 days a week during the summer.

Just had an amazing thunderstorm here, still flashes of lightning now. Have been videoing it on my phone. Storm chaser Horsemad 😁

It was unbelievably hot today & we were watching the flying display at an airbase. I was about roasted when I got home!
Had a 30 minute cold shower!!!

well, SIL and husband only left at 8 after the most amazing thunderstorm I have seen for a very long time, with loads of rain too (and its still raining hurrah!) - must have been the same one Horse!
Willow - oh, I so hope you sort a house soon. You are trying to hard to keep going with a positive mind set, but it must be so draining .

I have converted ds2 to loving Mamma Mia
Put it on when we sat down for tea and he got sucked right in ha ha. He loved it (but I am sure he wont tell anyone) Now watching a film about Werewolves, variety is the spice of life eh?

I am so jealous of your thunderstorms I love them. We had 2 rumbles of thunder an hour ago and thats all was very dissapointed.

Finally here! Lighning lighting up the whole sky! Raining too.

Now home. The film was fab but very emotional. Came out to thunder and lightning. After dropping off my neighbours family it took us 30 minutes to get home. I was frantic as Bumble is PETRIFIED of ⚡ and thunder. Got home and hardly any here thankfully.
Two years ago we had an evening service at.church. Mum insisted on sitting near the front and a storm was imminent. I warned all the congregation and the vicar that if a storm started I would be leaving. Just as we started to sing of all things Be Still For The Presence Of The Lord there was a humongous flash and crash and I slipped out. Luckily one of my best friends was leaving the pub and she drove me home. By the time I got home poor Bumble was a panting frantic mess. Was a very traumatic evening... He is currently snoring at the other end of the sofa!

Well that didnt last long spectscular while it did though. Watching it from kids room and them and thier palls online giving running commentaries and squealing at the lightening😁 Still raining but seems hotter than ever! Think.i might copy Horse and have a long cold shower😀

I've been watching a lightning strike tracker website & virtually the whole East Coast has been hit by storms tonight.
We can still see lightning flashes but it's 19° and feels lovely!
