Just starting off before we hit 1000 on the last thread...

Now sitting in the cafeteria at the hospital. Mum is second on the list. Have to go back at 9.30am.

All over. Now waiting to go home. Wonder what Bumble will think of the plastic cap over Mum's eye. He used to attack Tyler when he had the cone of shame from the vets!!

Well we are home. Bumble didn't notice the eye cover for about half an hour then he suddenly put his paws on Mum's chair and his nose right up to her face three times. He then sat on the floor and kept looking at Mum and then at me. He has thankfully now lost interest!!

Afternoon all
Just sitting down after ironing - ( done 3 loads of washing today ) it's just too hot !!
Staying indoors as much as possible today and tomorrow. I do have everyone for tea tomorrow, so do have to pop out to the shops, and water at the allotment , so not totally able to miss it.
84 - sounds like everything ( including bumble!) has gone well, I am glad to hear .
Hope everyone else is coping !

MIL died yesterday morning.

It's like scorched earth here, 34c according to my car when I came home half hour ago.
Boys home briefly as no after school clubs today and so their stepmum is picking them up from here later rather than leaving work early. They were pretty uncommunicative when I got home though. Last day of school tomorrow.

Booked a week in Zante for us so looking forward to that, my parents will have Charlie so just need to sort the hens.

@ChasingSquirrels I'm so sorry about your MIL. We were at Ipswich Hospital today....

Hot and humid here too (although not 34!). Been food shopping and just browsing in 2nd hand amd charity shops with ds2. Saw gp and gall bladder all fine as well as everything else they saw on scan so a mystery. Had a laugh about my ct scan for something thats probably nothing and she said oh well they might find a gall stone they missed😀😀

Did not sleep last night partly the heat and partly mind racing for some reason. Gave up and went downstairs at 4.30. Watching you tube videos on herbalism and stuff😀 did doze off and slept a bit though.

Re air con i wosh! Have a ceiling fan that is just about worn out this year and its not making any difference to the heat! Kids have fan in thier room and window open but with pc going and xbox its like a furnace upstairs.

Need to water plants later but watching Adam hills on the one show then Nadia first.

Aug for scan and got cystoscopy appoint today yet another Tuesday in Aug. But too late in pm for work will need to beg a swap.
Oh and have booked smear test for this Thursday. Did i say i was sick to death of health stuff???

Morning all
well, it was almost cool this morning at 6.30 - the heat got me up, but I opened the doors and there was a breeze! Back to sun and heat building now . No air con here , we do the hot countries thing - shut windows/curtains where the sun comes in , open all the windows in the shade. Then when the sun goes around the house, we reverse it -. It almost works ...
Willow - its almost worse when they can't find anything wrong, but hope the bloods are better tomorrow.
MrsJ - I would kill for a bit of cool and drizzle
Having an inside, in the shade day here , crafting and housework . Just need to make a meal for everyone later .

Hot here but probably not as hot as where you all are and def not as hot as other days.

Hasnt made me more enthusiastic about doing anything though Just pottering around doing not very much except sorting washing, tidying up.
Working later that will be enough work for the day!

Someone give me a push I am sure there are 100s of things I should be doing!

Well it has cooled down today - only 31c when I left work at just after 2pm 🤣🤣.

Boys finished school today, I'm working tomorrow but will have Thursday off with them then they are at their dad's Thursday evening for the weekend as there is a family wedding on their step-mum's side, so I'm working Friday. Then off work for 2 weeks, although only going away for a week and it looks as it something might kick off at work so I might go in Monday or Tuesday for a few hours, no plans so it isn't a problem.

Nice day out today. Went shopping with a friend. She has custody of her grandson and we went to one of the local towns and the shopping centre and she bought me KFC for lunch. Work tonight and then tomorrow I have the doctors and then the funeral of an old lady I knew.
Very excited as Friday night I'm going to see Mama Mia 2 with my neighbour, her dil and dil mother!!

Raining when we got up but turned into a gorgeous day and we are having a good time, though no relaxing! Walking swimming climbing cooking washing up.....

Willow - how's things - its hard to get any motivation in this heat, especially when you are so busy at work too.
Chasing - Zante sounds lovely - at least you will be acclimatised to the heat ! and won't have to work either :) ( I am assuming there is no risk of fires like the ones in the news ? Its truly heart breaking )

I am sat doing some crafting for a special MN Woolly Hug. I've had my breakfast, its cool with the door open ( and I'm still in my dressing gown ) . Need to go and jump in the shower soon, but am enjoying the peace and quiet .
Due out for the day - visiting an old lady who has just had her cataracts done , then a big supermarket shop .
I also need to go and water everything at the allotment later

Squirrels holiday sounds nice dont work to much when you should be off though!

Back is sore today but i had 'one of those shifts' i have recognised as a pattern with a partucular staff member😉 have been invited to join a couple of staff for lunch on Monday which will be nice would have been today if not for hosp appoint.

Winding down at work, although Friday is looking to be busy. If I end up going in Monday or Tuesday it won't matter, I'll just take the time later - and I'll still have a decent break as we are definately getting on that plane!

MIL funeral on Thu 9th just after we get back.

Ds1 out to a friend birthday meal at Prezzo last night and over to see his girlfriend today, and my mum came over to have lunch with ds2 while I was at work.
Taking ds2 to roller skating in a hour then Bridge club tonight.

Back from hosp. Blood up slightly but not as much as dr wants but will let me off for 4 weeks😀 but cant get 4 week appoint so they are sending one for 3 or 5 depending on what dr wants.
Made the long trip more bearable by putting Abba cd on and singing along so now off to watch Mama Mia and lose myself in it😀

Reasonable news then Willow, not great but not awful. Enjoy Mamma Mia x

Saw my GP this morning. He isn't concerned which is good news.
