Feeling positive about the future after DH died

Just starting off before we hit 1000 on the last thread...

Now off to work for my lady for an hour and a half. Mum has a hospital app tomorrow so have booked day off work. One of my friends is coming up to let Bumble out as I think we will be quite a while. He's very protective of the house so only certain people can come in and let him out. I only half joke when I say that there wouldnt be much left of a burglar of they broke into our house!!

Survived but late finishing busy night. Not working 6 days now as someone else can do monday so i dont need to change gp appiint. Phew!

Brighter now than its been all day! Had to rush out and bring washing in this afternoon as skies just opened and we had a deluge! Been raining off and on till a little while ago.

MrsJ time just flies doesn't it? Its too scary.

Feeling much better, thank you for all your kind thoughts. Had a good night's sleep which helped.

Sunny here this morning so fingers crossed for better day. Kids have haircuts this morning then thought i would get up in attic and try and get stuff up there packed up . Have loads of halloween decs in bags will be easier in boxes. Plus need to go through all the kids stuff i have kept as 'keepsakes' 😀

Might try listing more toys just to see if anyone wants it before i give up on it. A bit of money would be useful😀

Finally treated myself to a record player. Hopefully coming today. Have had money from 'fil' for xmas 2 years running with explicit instructions to spend it in myself and have kept it until i found exactly what i wanted so bought a retro style rp/cd player so i can haul out all my old vinyl and educate my kids on the proper music mediium😀😀

Chasing - it was my DGS - he was in foundation, and going into Y1 , and yes its gone soooo quick . His class did a fashion show .
I slept so much better last night , and woke up at the right time for once, but almost feel a bit punch drunk now IYSWIM! Off to my craft club this morning , so nice and easy

Just home from hospital. Mum has the first cataract off next Monday.
Wilf scared the life out of me last night. It started off with "Mumma don't worry I am fine but......."
Transpires he was in the local sunken gardens rock hunting when a homeless guy who was either high or drunk or both decided to lurch towards Wilf's bicycle in a manner which made Wilf think he was going to nick it. Wilf apparently shouted at the man told him to get out of the way and leave his bike alone!
A lady on FB was in another part of the gardens and said she heard Wilf shouting. She said he was very brave.
I know he was BUT what could have happened scared me witless!

84 kids are bad for your health!

Have decended from attic for a bite to eat and cool down! Been raining on my washing but nobody noticed thankfully not too heavy.
I am being ruthless! Cutting down all kids stuff i have kept but i am such a hoarder its hard but needs must😀
Record player is here cant wait to try it but living room is a bombsite of boxes and stuff just now so will have to wait.

Kids are bad for stress levels that's for sure! Got to school, unloaded everyone and everything and DS said he felt sick and promptly threw up! They'd been spinning round before we got in the car, then he'd munched some bread sticks

He was fine soon after, but had to come home, ring school, unload everyone and miss sports day

Have cabin fever and a strong urge to binge eat, but nothing in that I can do it with (luckily)

What a pity about ds!! Bet you were sick as a chip doing all that for nothing.

Have done the attic, still have to bag some kids clothes up that I cant bear to part with! Sooooo tiny. Will need to get a smaller vacuum bags.
Have got a load of old lace/cotton /dressing table sets/old embroidered stuff, am going to just give to charity shop cant be bothered with the hassle. Have squeezed mine and kids life in cards, concert programmes and nursery and primary stuff into one big box, that will have to do. Halloween and Xmas stuff done. I have flattened boxes all over the damm house, sick of the clutter.

Have went through my photos on the pc and downloaded a load from my phone and onedrive (which I had to restart on pc again for some reason it wouldnt recognise the photos I uploaded!) Typcal techno fail. But its all done now, photos edited, put onto pc and Onedrive cleared. Oh and the pound sign has vanished off my pc! Cant use it which was fun putting adverts on Gumtree...I get # instead! Help!

Stupid tablets are messing with my taste buds again, cant taste anything nice at all. Not happy.

Still not got near my vinyl but never mind there's always tomorrow...ha ha.

Have had to call the police in Kent tonight. Wilf went to the gardens again tonight and the man was there shouting and waving his arms about. Families go there and I know If something happened and I hadn't rang and reported my concerns I would never forgive myself.

DS wasn't fussed as he got to play all day - and today. DD didn't want me to go and watch so guess she got what she wanted.

MrsJ - that is a real pain , what a lot of faff and fuss for nothing ..
just a day of bits and pieces to do , but DH and I are going for a stroll to the shops , with lunch out . Nearly finished sewing my dress, and also my shawl - that should be done by the weekend. But I need to clean first! and use up 6 courgettes ( soup making )
Then on to blanket joining and making ( I am doing them for WH over their summer holiday.

Book there isnt much room at all its really annoying me. Need ro take the flat boxes back into garage today as not doing any packing today. Have duvet to take to dry cleaners and go into town just to get out house for a bit. Am going to get ds1 a small electric razor to help him manage his 'side burns' and keep em tidy! Compromising as i hate them but hey ho its his face i suppose😀
Homeless guy called but nothing on horizon yet and they cant throw me out so stuck in limbo. No more 3 bed houses round here this week so far.

Working later hope its not so busy.

Made the 🥕 cake for the horticultural show this afternoon. Did the brownies this morning and a sausage and cheese pie for dinner tonight.
Our garden gate hasn't been closing properly so I roped GrandmaWerewolf's son Uncle Clive to fix it!! We are on the tenterhooks waiting for my best friends daughter to have her baby. Even more excited as they don't know if it will be pink or blue! She used to be Wilf's babysitter. I'm going to be Auntie Charlotte!!
Our neighbour over the road has volunteered her husband to be a Bumble visitor.... Someone who can pop in while we are out and let him out for a pee.. Only a very select people are able to do it due to his propensity to throw him violently at doors and windows when people come to the 🚪!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Ah" baby news is always good. Hope Wilf is ok. Did you win any prizes for your baking? I'd give my right arm for a bit of baking!

I've got last minute washing in the machine. The downstairs that was spotless this morning is wrecked again sigh tomorrow's worry now. I'm going to read to DD and then chill out with some pineapple 🙄🤔

Felt shattered today so have done very little (am on leave). No pain, so hopefully all on the mend now.

We've recently had a new baby in the family too 84, a little girl. I'm looking forward to seeing her soon

Horse - being tired is your body saying stop, I need to get better, so thats what you need to do .
I did do my soup :) - an enormous vat which had courgettes, cucumbers, onions, potatoes and french beans, along with some spinach pesto I made a while ago. I will be freezing most of it.
84 - busy baking as per! Lovely to be waiting for baby news , and hope Wilf has recovered
MrsJ - no one will see your house while you are on holiday, and it will be there when you get back, so no point in fretting. Do you set off tomorrow? Have a fabulous time - it sounds as if we are due a lot more hot weather this next week .

I finished sewing my dress today , but feel a bit guilty as I did that rather than iron . I am out first thing tomorrow morning - a full morning sorting stuff for the committee .

I took DS1's English book and pencil case which he'd forgotten 1st thing - he messaged me from the bus.
Then I did my tax return and tax credits renewal.
Met a friend at a local cafe for a catch up and I'm just back and having lunch and then I'm going to weed the drive.
Plus a doctor's appt later and running the kids around.
C coming over this evening and I'm going to visit MIL in hospital tomorrow morning she is on end of life care now.
