Ooh am aching all over today. Woke ip with searing cramp in one calf😲 Going to get most of packing done then gp out later. Dull today where has sun gone? It could have hung around for another day. I might have to put on one of the cotton summer 'jumpers' i brought!!!

Yes, overcast here today too. Been doing the watering/picking fruit this morning. Have to get changed and then off to have my hair cut shortly. This afternoon, I will be watching tennis , but trying to sew a dress , and make some gooseberry curd in between :) ( I made jam yesterday ) Hope everyone is okay , and the aches and pains disappear !

Hello all, we've had a fairly quiet day. I am still tackling paperwork, got some more done today.

Stuck a chicken in to roast, but the shopping man didn't bring me a cabbage so will have to do with spuds, carrots and frozen peas/corn.

I can't believe your week is over either Willow time is flying. Hope that you have a safe journey home. Apart from the sore muscles, how have you been? Are you scheduled back at the Drs for checks when you get home?

book I've got the tennis on for a bit too. You're very crafty with jam, curd and sewing I will take my crochet away with me. Not had time recently!

Bridge was good MrsJ, although with the football only 8 of us there.

Just home with ds1 from work / work experience. Must have been an accident as A14 started backing up just before our junction, so glad to be off there.

Just having snacks then dropping him to archery and taking Charlie to see an ex-colleague / friend who I haven't seen for a while and go for a walk, been overcast all day but lovely now.

Its blooming raining! Dont wanma drive home in rain hope its gone by morning.
Washing not dry might have a bag full of damp washing to take home😀

Mad busy in work today & felt very tired, so must try for an early night tonight.
DH & I went out for tea & then did a food shop 🙂

Shpuld be out by 10.30 but cleaner not coming till pm so have bit of leaway.
Hope journey home is as good as the one here. House is lovely but am ready for my own bed😀 fed up hitting my feet of footrail.

Slept reasonably well. Busy day with 3 under 3 and then DD having a friend round and taking them swimming (luckily I can sit on the side)

Ds1 last day at work experience today. They have him a card and £30 Amazon vouchers yesterday (because the admin lady is off today) so he was pleased, although didn't really understand why as thinks they did him a favour having him.
The admin lady emailed me about something else on Wednesday and said "He has worked really well, he is very quick in getting jobs done, he will not struggle in the workplace, it's been a pleasure having him here. He is a credit to you." Which was so lovely.

He also got the leader at joggers to fill in his DofE report which was also really lovely about him.

Ds2 back from camp this afternoon. They get in at 1.30pm and my friend is collecting and dropping him home, and my dad is coming over to be here as I won't be back till later with ds1. I wouldn't normally bother after school, but when he has been away all week...

Having said that, might get ds1 to ask if he can finish early as it's his last day and get off about 2pm.

Hope it's not raining for your drive Willow and it's an easy one.

Lovely walk and catchup with friend yesterday, Charlie went in the stream so had to hide him down when we got home then put him in his bag to dry. I'll try and post a picture.

Willow - have a safe and easy journey home . However much you enjoy trips/holidays it is always nice to be back to your own bed :)
Chasing - oh, isn't it lovely to hear good things about your DC - I'm not surprised you are proud . Charlie looks remarkably sheepish in that photo! :)
MrsJ - aw thank you, they were only a few I have done in some spare minutes , I popped them in with the blanket I made , so the bag of 'waiting to post' was cleared for summer :)
I have committee work this morning , and need to go and water and pick fruit , but , going to watch tennis this afternoon, while doing a bit of housework . Hope the washing dries today - just like yesterday though ( it became very heavy , warm and close in the afternoon ) I am prepped up to make gooseberry and elderflower yoghurt ice (cream) this afternoon. After that, and having frozen a few lbs , I am so done with sorting gooseberries .
Horse - hope you got a good nights sleep - roll on the weekend for you :)

Hi all we are home yeah😉 washing out and cold box emptied. Everything else dumped by kids in living room😠

Stopped a couple of times. Laat stop had a farmers market/local produce/pricey things shopping centre. Treated myself to some nice choc, cakes and bread for us and a pork loin stuffed with local sausage and wrapped in bacon for tomorrows tea.

Roads not bad even the motorway thankfully we joined above all the traffic jams due to accidents and road works but its a long time in car and boring ds1 slept off and on so was not scintillating company😀 ds2 navigating/playing ds/phone.

MrsJ i always take essentials in a cool box and bag so dont have to bother with shopping once we get there for a couple of days.😀

I got home to find the washing machine just finishing - I'd primed it & asked DS to switch on & hang washing out when he got up - which he did at 3.30pm...
I was not impressed as I did not expect him to be slobbing in bed until that time. Thought I'd be coming home to a pile of nice dry washing grrrr.
Anyway, a few words were had and a little reminder that Mum's taxi may be unavailable if he doesn't do the few chores left for him.

Let's hope he heeds my words!

Ds1 finished and gone to his girlfriend's for the evening, usually gets a life when I collect ds2 but no clubs with week as it's activities week, so after enquiring how he would get there he agreed that his bike sounded a good option 😂.

Ds2 not sure if he's going to judo, so will see. Bit has disappeared to his room with his phone having not had any tech all week.

Charlie a bit off colour and subdued the last couple of days, plus a dodgy stomach so hoping he picks up soon.

Ahhh ... weekend 😊
