evening
ah Willow , not what you wanted to hear , hope you can put it away from the brain while you are away.
Know what you mean Horse - it was cool this morning, very cloudy, which was lovely , but its too warm for me to sleep well.
84 - wow - so what will Wilf be doing from now?
MrsJ - nice to hear no stress, and thats a nice pile of squares!
I've been faffing today . Made soup this morning, been and watered at the allotment , done some sewing. After the allotment went to get milk, and managed to pick up some more bargains - 2 packs of diced lamb shoulder , some chicken fillets and mushrooms, So I have made a lamb curry for tomorrow nights tea - its simmering now, and later I am going to make a chicken, leek and mushroom pie to freeze .
Shawl is very simple MrsJ , but lovely yarn I bought at a yarn show. Its very fine ( laceweight ) alpaca and silk, with a tiny glimmer thread through it . You probably can't see, but I am adding tiny beads as well. Its ( hopefully) going to be done in time for the wedding in August. I have a sleeveless dress, and wanted something to cover my shoulders in church :)
Have a lovely evening everyone

That's very pretty book, love the yarn.

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/07/2018 20:10

Oh no Willow that sucks Sad Will you know if you have to start them?

That's a long time 84 What adventures await Wilf now?

Very pretty book are things a bit quieter now for WH or will all the squares that came in for this week's deadline now mean you're busy as ever? Grin

Horse I hope you sleep well - the heat really doesn't help. I was kept slightly busy with a 1, 2 and 4 year old (not to mention a 6yo who had a school trip) Just sat down and realised the washing machine is still spinning away, so will have to get up again!

Hope you're OK Squirrel

x

Willow2017 · 04/07/2018 20:48

Evening all.
I will have to take them (and go to nearest hosp, if i get pin prick red bleeds on lower limbs!!)

Lovely yarn Book will be a beautiful shawl. More bargains too you are jammy😀

Its too hot here at night even with window open waking up.far too early!

20yrs! Whats he going to do next 84 ?

Not a good pm. Ds1 kicked off. Thier dad coming tomorrow so txt him to say he could take ds1 home with him😀 that didnt go down well got told that wasnt f'ing happening

not like they are your sons too btw so he spoke on phone he ranted at ds1 made him cry ds1 took it out on me yadda yadda. Apparently i am too soft on him and need to remind him what ex said about being kicked out if he didnt buck up. Have had a chat and tbh he just doesn't get it. He thinks it's his right as we bought the pc for him, to be on it whenever he wants to talk to his friends. And he doesnt want to join any clubs or go out apart from swimming (suppose thats a start) i feel i am losing him to this self absorbed manchild. I didnt raise him to be disrespectful or lazy what the hell happened? I did remind him of a few truths about living on his own- paying bills, job hunting or no jsa, and not being able to afford Wi-Fi so no pc (think his eyes widened at that😉) so having to go to job centre or library to use pc to prove he was actively job hunting. I am hoping a week away will kick start it all and have told him we will all have a clean slate from tomorrow and all try to rub along without winding each other up. He just argues everything round in circles in the most un-positive way, almost looking for things to make him/us fail. I want my funny, clever, loving boy back. I feel i have lost him and i cant pull him back so its my fault. I feel we are always arguing about stupid things that would take him minutes to do yet he never learns but i see where he thinks we are ganging up.in him as ds2 will support me and remind him what he/i said sometimes (have already addressed that with him) but if he just did the damm thing i wouldnt have to tell him 20 times!
Roll on friday so much to do tomorrow and work too.

Willow2017 · 04/07/2018 20:49

Oh heavens thats long sorry 😐

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/07/2018 21:12

No answers but sending (((hugs)))

bookbook · 04/07/2018 21:14

good to get it off your chest Willow (hugs) In truth, I think you are in the same circumstances as lots of parents , many of whom have partners to help with support. Its society as much as you x
shawl will look better when its blocked ..

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/07/2018 21:33

You can say that again book DD just entering this phase of entitlement and wanting tech! All her friends have phones...

Willow2017 · 04/07/2018 22:38

The normal teen stroppiness i can handle its the pure aggression and swearing i am not so keen on😀

Just another day at the office😀

Chasingsquirrels · 04/07/2018 23:11

Hugs Willow
Would the cadets be something ds1 would be interested in as well?
I don't know what to suggest, just wish I could do something helpful x

MrsJonesAndMe · 05/07/2018 06:40

Hope the holiday is what is needed to sort him!

Willow2017 · 05/07/2018 07:29

Squirrels tried that but nope not interested unfortunately. Think its because he is overweight re the physical stuff they have to do.

Oh well maybe we can address rhat foe both of us in summer.😀

Chasingsquirrels · 05/07/2018 07:45

It's going to be another hot day here. The grass is completely dead.
Working longer hours as doing transport for ds1 at work experience (a software company that do computer aided machining software - he is really enjoying it. They told him yesterday not to bringing today as they are going to the pub).
Enjoying my time with C, he came over Monday and stayed. And we message a lot in the evenings. I'm going over to his at the weekend.
Charlie as mad as ever, and we love him so much.
Sorry I've been a bit absent. I'm not getting anything I should be done - hmm, C is occupying too much head space 🤔

Willow2017 · 05/07/2018 11:28

Arghhh!
Took guinea pig to cattery and on way back bloody brake light came on! Mechanic is out so have to wait till he is back to see if its ok to use or not! I am working at 3!!!

Got samdals for ds2 (ds1 needs his back for toe) and bits in town £20 worth of hayfever stuff for ds1 as he has it bad this year for some reason and petrol now just need to clean car out😲 and wash car windows sod the rest of it😉

Ha ha Squirrels sounds a bit like you are smitten with each other yeah😀

Willow2017 · 05/07/2018 11:29

Strikethrough fail!

Chasingsquirrels · 05/07/2018 11:58

Umm yes.
But I don't know if it's just physical (for me! He seems pretty clear it isn't for him, but who knows).

Hope the car isn't s big problem x

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 05/07/2018 13:37

Fingers crossed on the car - odd that it's come on after they've fiddled...

Enjoy the good bits for now without too much thought Squirrel

Busy here... but had 10 minutes to sit down, so that's it till tonight's drama show which is meant to be an hour!

Willow2017 · 05/07/2018 14:24

Car ok, probably just electonic blip, light went off before I got there! Mechanic faffed around with diagnostic thing, checked brake fluid, took it out for brake test nothing to find except brake electronic code which he didnt seem to think was important! He cleared the codes and I thought he was going to test them again but he didnt just pointed out they were clear! Er yes cos you cleared them! (Usual mech was off on call out) Oh and he asked me if I wanted his personal number!!! Ermm no thanks. He thought if I broke down I could call him and he and my usual mech could come get me with the breakdown lorry!! Err no thanks thats what I pay the AA for Grin bit weird though.

Off to work soon, fingers crossed a quiet night, am stressed enough Grin.

Och enjoy yourself Squirrels dont think too hard about it.

Enjoy the drama show MrsJ

Horsemad · 05/07/2018 16:49

Chasingsquirrels · 05/07/2018 17:11

Evening all
enjoyed reading the posts today.
DD2 has been here today ( she still has her car done at our local garage - we have known them years) .
So this morning, we all went and watered and picked stuff at the allotment. DH and DD went out for the afternoon, so I have faffed around a bit ( 2 loads of washing , and sorting food ) and watched tennis :)
Willow - mm - I think Horse has it - you've pulled Grin
Chasing - as I said before, no rush , just enjoy.
Grass is dead here too. The garden is suffering . I'm keeping on top of the pots/baskets/greenhouse , but not watering anything else , and it shows.
MrsJ - enjoy the drama
Have a good evening everyone

Willow2017 · 05/07/2018 20:33

Ha ha no not a chance thank.you😀
Survived work and they asked if i wanted paid today so will have a few £ left to come home to😁

Got to water pots after i pick.up ds2 from cadets. Hope they survive. Maybe neighbours will take pity on them?
Book another busy day but nice to have dd there too.

Have time for last minute panic tonight and prob wont sleep properly even though i am knackered. Cooler this pm thankfully.

bookbook · 05/07/2018 20:45

It is a bit more pleasant tonight - brought all the washing in, then spent 15 minutes picking raspberries , just enjoying the cool

MrsJonesAndMe · 05/07/2018 21:11
