Arghhh stupid computer.
Hope headache goes soon

Willow2017 · 23/06/2018 19:03

Oh you arent 'that' far away from me Horse have a good time, enjoy the gin Grin

Wasted an hour of my life fighting with virgin email, keeps coming up with an error. Changed password on the site and still having problems. Have added my gmail to the damm thing and that seems to be ok but its not the one I use very often! Arghgghghghgh.

84CharingCrossRoad · 24/06/2018 07:50

Finish work at 9am until lunch time tomorrow. Am summoning up the courage to give Bumble a bath!!
It will involve buckets of soapy water on the patio!!!

Chasingsquirrels · 24/06/2018 08:50

Glad you are less niggly and work went okay Willow and that you swapped your shift for the scan. Plan something nice to eat afterwards.

Have fun washing Bumbledog 84! I just hose Charlie down.

Sounds like a good weekend horse.

Are you feeling less foggy today cake?

Cinema (Oceans 8 - I enjoyed it, but very staged somehow) & food (just Frankie & Bennys because it was there).
Then home because he'd picked me up, despite the cinema being between us.
There was definately kissing!

Morning all.

Sounds like a good night Squirrels

Sunny here, damm means we will be busy busy at work. As long as boss keeps away from me...

Got pile of ironing to do.

Hope you feel better MrsJ.

Good luck with Bumble 84

Chasingsquirrels · 24/06/2018 15:38

Hope work isn't too busy Willow.
Lovely walk with widow friends, Charlie swam so I had to hose him down when we got home and have just been grooming him. Over to my parent for tea later when the boys are home.

Hi

Not sure about less foggy and definitely clumsy added into the mix Hmm but we had some time out in the fresh air this morning, came home and sorted a few things, DH ironed knew he was a keeper and got some shopping in too. Tea in the oven then showers/baths etc ready for a manic week.

Sounds like you had a good night Squirrel I think sometimes when they make series like that it starts off good and gets worse as time goes on.

84 hope you got Bumble clean and that he's eating and you're all OK.

Hope the shift was OK Willow guessing you don't have an ironing fairy...

Horse that sounds like a great weekend - what wonderful weather too. Are you following the world cup?

Did you get the blanket sorted book? I've more or less finished square 2, so thinking I can get 3 or 4 done before the deadline. Allotment must keep you busy this time of year too.

Will check in again later x

bookbook · 24/06/2018 20:11

Evening all
Just checking in - been away from the computer pretty much since lunchtime yesterday.
yes to lots of allotment MrsJ - picking fruit/watering and hoeing ! Raspberries have started fruiting, red and blackcurrants just coming in, and still lbs of strawberries to pick...:)
Have finished the squares, joined them , now just need to do the border on the blanket .
Chasing - that path looks lovely - the bricks will really make it a feature.
84 - hope the dog bath went well , and you are not too wet :)
Need to dash and water all the pots and greenhouse stuff now -( had everyone over for afternoon and meal, they've just nicely gone )
Have a good evening everyone

Willow2017 · 24/06/2018 20:38

Evening all

Work busy right up to end but no real hassles just a couple of sly digs from boss telling other girls to do something 'this way' when she knew it was me which i ignored.

Very hot we were all melting and drinking gallons😀

Sounds like everyone had good days in the sun.

I need to water the pots too. Ds2 was supposed to do it but was out with friends and forgot. Washing still on line too😠
Oh well kbo i suppose😉

Horsemad · 24/06/2018 22:35

Evening 🙂

Busy but enjoyable (for the most part!) weekend.

MrsJ, yes, still watching the footy 🙂 we had to watch England this afternoon before starting our journey back!
We are now back home and surrounded by masses of DS's 'stuff' - mainly washing Hmm. The space I recently cleared in the garage is full of pans/crockery/boxes/crates...

Glad you had a reasonable work shift Willow - bet you were hot though 🙁

book - busy on the allotment at this time of year!

Chasing & 84 - great weather for washing dogs!! Grin Am imagining they both enjoyed that Wink

Off to bed now for me and back to work tomorrow...

Willow2017 · 25/06/2018 11:08

Morning all.

Change of plans. Car getting serviced next mon i wasnt 100% the guy i spoke to meant today but it was but my mech said next week would be better if ok with me (looked decidedly short staffed). As he always goes above and beyond for me its no prob. So got shopping and lost myself in my book and risked a croissant 😀

Have list of jobs to do so better get moving after my cuppa. Its boiling hot here would rather stay where i am in garden and read my book 😉

Hope its the same with you all.

MrsJonesAndMe · 25/06/2018 14:04

Hope that croissant didn't come back and bite you Wink

I've spent half an hour in the park with my book while baby slept! Other than that I've been madly busy and boiling to boot.

Urgh horse the downside of uni... is he going back to the same place next year (accommodation wise) or staying somewhere else? Hope work wasn't too mad after a week off!

Hope everyone is OK, will stop by at some point when things calm down to check in with you all. x

bookbook · 25/06/2018 14:05

Afternoon all
Horse - oh boo, back to work, but what a lovely week to have had off !
Willow - I would stay put with the book - much too hot.
Absolutely scorching here. Normally go to pick up DGS, but swapped for Thursday this week. So I have done a couple of loads of washing , got the bed stripped and airing with wide open windows and sunshine - (will wash all that tonight , ready to hang out in the morning ).
Been and spent ages at the allotment , once again watering, and picking fruit . Need to pop back and do a bit more other stuff once its cooler late afternoon I think.
Have been sat for half an hour trying to finish off blanket , but it won't be finished in time to post today , don't want to rush it .
Have to go and iron now , but at least indoors , out of the sun !
Hope everyone else is okay, and having a good day

bookbook · 25/06/2018 14:06

take it steady MrsJ - :)

Willow2017 · 25/06/2018 15:19

Take it easy MrsJ and you too Book Grin

So far gb is behaving, it was the best almond croissant ever Grin

Well havent got much done really. Went through my suitcase and 'trimmed' it a bit Grin, changed dentist appointments for August as apparently my dentist is leaving and new one doesnt start till Sept! Did some other paperwork/paying stuff etc.

Discovered my usual email address isnt sending any only recieving them! Despite changing passwords on that and my gmail its been a struggle to send ones today have had to transfer (copy and past) the one to the other then send! And google keeps insisiting we live somewhere else and when ds access the account they alert me! arghghghghgh. But finally got contact with cattery to give them the contact info/vets info/food info for our gp. And breath!

Nearly time to go for kids, ds2 wants to go to friends after school, need to take change of clothes for him.

Going to drag ds1 out for a walk when we get home as I found evidence of all the crap he has been eating in his room when I am not here, no more sitting on his bum all day, have threatened to send the pc back to his dad if he doesnt shape up. Its a complete compulsion with him, I am cracking down in the hols.

Still glorious, here. Heard someone say in the supermarket that its to be like this for a week and a half...grrrr we go on hols in 2 weeks, it will probably snow!

Chasingsquirrels · 25/06/2018 18:31

Glorious day, didn't get to work until and worked until 3.30pm. Air conditioned and the sun doesn't come through the window until late afternoon so I don't notice it until I leave - when the car said it was 31c! Popped to Aldi for a few bits and home then vacuumed and tidied and have just watered pots and eaten (low calorie day, felt like a heavy few days).

Sounds like the almond croissant was well appreciated willow and I hope you continue not to feel any gb impacts.
I think it is so hard with boys of that age, I feel like I have failed mine over the last couple of years. I know I've done the best I could in the circumstances and really just getting through the days was a struggle.

Glad you grabbed a break while the baby slept cake. Are you feeling any better today?

Nice to have ds2 home horse? Seems like the time has flown by since you were taking him up there.

Good days for you as well book. Is the car all sorted now?

Oh. And I should mention that C and I have both agreed that we won't be seeing anyone else. So while I'm not naming whatever it is at this stage, I appear to be in some sort of budding relationship. And I am REALLY HAPPY.

Waiting on ds2 coming out of new friends house. He just started at school so fingers crossed a good new friend for him. He has said he wants to go early to friend he goes to cadets with on thurs and go get chippy tea the two of them before cadets! Kids are going to bankrupt me😀😀 spending no more till hols😉 well except the stuff i got today for cadet bbq on Thurs

Still need to water plants! Oops.

Roll on wed.

Chasingsquirrels · 25/06/2018 22:39

C just came over for a few hours (boys with their dad on Monday nights) and we sat on the patio and chatted, took Charlie for a walk and then had a bit of a cuddle on the sofa before he went home. Seems the distance isn't a problem for him.

bookbook · 26/06/2018 09:15

Morning all!
what a lovely post to read first thing Chasing - enjoy your some sort of relationship you deserve every minute of happiness you can find .
Car came back last week, thank goodness , all sorted, just an arm and a leg to pay !!
Willow - trimming the suitcase ! - thats the only problem with UK holidays - having to take clothes for every type of weather! Ds2 is sounding like he is finding his feet and having a good time with the cadets .
MrsJ - hope you are not so frantically busy today , and you are feeling a bit better too , though this heat is always a problem for me .
84 and Horse - hope you are coping with everything too :)
Another scorcher due today - its already hot here . Just about to hang the washing out . Its Tuesday, so off to the market and library , and just a ( hopefully) quick trip to the allotment to water and pick raspberries and courgettes - DH and I did a lot yesterday, and I popped back in the late afternoon to plant up stuff.
Then, afternoon it will be indoors for me - (I finished the blanket last night , so posting it off today ) so I am going to play around with some sewing I think , and take a couple of days off the crochet :)
Have a lovely day everyone

Willow2017 · 26/06/2018 11:07

Morning all.
Lovely here now but foggy and cool first thing and still foggy along coast.

Been and exchanged all the stuff i got ds1 this week! Was just on the tight side and waterproof was ok with just t shirt but not a hoodie. As you said Book it could be any kind of weather especially going up mountains😀

Working later😐 then 4 days off yippee.
Having glasses trouble yet again so have resorted to super glue as not faffing around again with new frames etc.

Hope everyone has a good day in.the sun.

Chasingsquirrels · 26/06/2018 16:53

What a gorgeous day!
Work, taxi-service (picking up ds1 & his girlfriend from athletics after school) and now home in the garden. Too hot for joggers (yay) so no more running around. Will walk Charlie later when it cools down.
