Morning all.
Bloods were up slightly but not enough for Dr so i need to go back in 2 weeks.😠 Two days before hols and i am not taking steroids on my hols! This is costing me a fortune in petrol!
Thought yestetday that gb was settling down as tablets were keeping it at bay but niggling away today😐
Been for shopping and coffee and read of my book. Looking for a light zip up or similar and popped into Bonne Marche (think thats right!) on spec and came out with 3 t-shirts in sale instead! So i can bin my well worn ones😉

Sunny now after dull start but windy too.

Enjoy your day Horse trifle is a perfectly acceptable breakfasts 😀

Hope everyone else has a good day despite the wind. Shame about your trip being spoiled Book.

MrsJonesAndMe · 21/06/2018 13:10

OMG that sounds like heaven Horse I'm trying really hard to be good... enjoy it!

Willow that is such a shame that they're not happy with the results and that the GB is still niggling away.

Shame about the weather book but I'm hoping that you enjoy it tomorrow. I'm going to see what I can get done. Sure every square makes a difference.

This afternoon I have both children at different clubs - luckily one mum will share driving for one...but it's the military precision required that fries your brain!

Feeling better today Squirrel? Hope so...

How are you, Wilf and Bumble 84?

AsleepAllDay · 21/06/2018 13:25

I really love these threads - I'm young and single and frequently down in the dumps with depression and over my life, feels like I can't catch a break. Reading about how everyone is pushing through and starting over and makes loads of positive changes really helps x

Chasingsquirrels · 21/06/2018 16:07

Just checking in.
Cold developed and I felt rubbish yesterday, not full blown I'll but just wanted someone to look after me. Had a nap while ds2 was at rollerskating then skipped Bridge.
Full of cold today but head is more with it so I'm hopefully over the worst.

Fingers crossed on not needing steroids next time Willow.

Hope the weather improves for your trip out tomorrow book. Was dull & overcast here first thing but improved this afternoon.

Trifle for breakfast made me laugh horse

Military precision indeed cake!

And breathe.... Now just need to stay awake long enough to get the big one to sleep and pretend to have energy left for DH and I to catch up too.

Hugs squirrel, it's rubbish to feel poorly and must be worse with no one to look after you.

Asleep, reading threads on here certainly opens your eyes. I know a DH that loves you, treats you well and is faithful should be the basic standard, but sadly for so many here it's not 😟

Willow2017 · 21/06/2018 20:56

Evening all.
Hope you feel better pdq Squirrels

Enjoy a bit of adult convo with dh MrsJ. I agree its quite sobering what some people in here put up with for years. I cant imagine how awful it must be to be treated like that.

Work busy at first of course cos only 2 of us on for an hour😀 busy again late pm but we got there. Got extra shift saturday which will make up a bit for those i lost this week.

Sun still shining here.

Hope weather is better tomortow for you Book.

84CharingCrossRoad · 21/06/2018 22:10

Rome is booked. V excited. I will be away on DPs birthday which is what I planned. Have found a lovely outdoor concert to go to as well. I'm not a huge Opera fan but this is songs from musicals!!

bookbook · 21/06/2018 22:29

Evening all
wow 84 - Rome ! both my DD's have been and loved it - have a great time :)
Willow - are you sure you are in good enough shape to do extra hours, however nice the money will be ?
Horse - oh, I would love to have trifle for breakfast, it sounds so incredibly indulgent - perfect for total holiday feel .
Chasing - on rubbishy germs , and you had to miss bridge too . Hope you shake it off quickly
MrsJ hope you are enjoying your catch up :)
Had a very productive day - DH and I went to the allotment this afternoon and started the annual fruit picking ( different currants ) , along with yet more strawberries, and the first raspberries. Managed washing and ironing and some house work too, so ready for bed shortly :)
Asleep - it's very comforting reading about simple day to day stuff isn't it? have you any support in RL around you - friends/family ? It is easy to be lonely in a crowd , but this thread is a nice , virtual , place to be :)
Night everyone, sleep tight

MrsJonesAndMe · 22/06/2018 07:01

Morning all

That was a bad night and a busy day ahead. Very high pollen count... thinking of everything I need to do in the next week. Will sit and make a list over the weekend to clear my head.

Rome would be great 84 - are you going alone or with a friend?

Hope you all have a good day

84CharingCrossRoad · 22/06/2018 07:35

Going on my own. Wonder what sort of chaos I can cause. I went to Amsterdam alone and ended up in a gay bar by accident. In Paris I was at the top of the Eiffel Tower and a WW2 air raid siren went off on the other side of the city. To say I was terrified was an understatement. Transpires it was a factory letting its workplace know it was lunchtime!!!!

Willow2017 · 22/06/2018 08:15

Book it should be fine its only 4 hrs. Basically i am an 'insurance policy ' as one of the cooks isnt 100% well at the moment so if someone has to take over i can do till/waitress etc. And i finish before the cleaning😉

Lovely morning here washing out.

84 sounds fab don't cause too much chaos but little is ok😉

ds1 is ps"d as i am making him go to school with no teachers his are all away on trip amd yesterday there were no supply teachers available there might be today but its only half day anyway he can 'study' ha ha as if 😉
Getting my bubble wrap this morning.
Mrsj sorry you had a bad night did ds get something better from dr?

Have a good day

MrsJonesAndMe · 22/06/2018 11:48

He's been generally much much better thanks. I forgot to take my tablet yesterday Hmm

Half of the day going to plan (baking and cleaning) the other half not so much (prospective parent cancelling on the day, steam mop seems to have died and school rung to say DD's meant to be taking part in something today - where's her kit and packed lunch - well we never got a letter, so had to rush round and go back to school)

Hope you have a good Friday Willow

84 that sounds typical. You're brave to travel on your own. I'm a scardy cat.

Willow2017 · 22/06/2018 12:50

MrsJ oh thats typical usnt it? You are so busy making sure everyone else is ok you forget yourself😀
Ok today just niggly. Have had surgery on saying they havent had any word to.say i was at hosp and will have to chase it up before they do a prescriptiom for buscopan! Typical.
Oh and got scan appoint of course its on a day i am working. 😠

84CharingCrossRoad · 22/06/2018 17:56

I'm on a sleepover weekend again. Have made a Cottage Pir and a B read and Butter Pudding. Also stripped his bed and washed it. It's currently on the line. Just waiting for my Mum to come with my dinner and she will help me turn the mattress over then I can remake it...

Chasingsquirrels · 22/06/2018 21:16

Rome sounds good 84, well done you x

Morning.
Been a bit absent this week as was struggling with the cold, but have been reading. Nearly over it I think, bit of snot and sore throat left (lovely) but head seems to be back in gear.

Judo evening last night with ds2 as it was their 40th anniversary!
It run by a lady who started it for the youth of the village, and the other main leader is one of the teens who used to go to it when it started.
Nice to see some displays and eat cake and chat to a few people.

Scouts for ds2 this morning and I'm walking Charlie with a friend, archery for ds1 this afternoon and then they are with their dad and I'm going to the cinema this evening to see Oceans 8.

Been talking to C on messaging and voice calls a lot this week, and it seems to be going well. Kinda annoyed with myself for meeting him in the first place when I knew distance would be an issue, but now I'm here I am just going with the flow.

Morning all
Hope you got through the day in one piece MrsJ
Willow - only 4 hours - mmmm well, take it steady then!
84 - well, bread and butter pudding is one of our all time favourites- can I come? Grin
Chasing - glad to hear you are starting to feel better. I think any new relationship is going to cause conflicting emotions . In some ways, distance is a bit of a safety net for you I suspect, as well as a bit of a nuisance . It gives you the chance to step back and assess things .
Well, we had a truly glorious day at the coast yesterday - we went to a well known RSPB place where lots of seabirds nest. We even saw a few puffins :) . The weather was perfect , and we had a lovely lunch out .
Today , its allotment this morning , and crochet this afternoon . I'm on my last square for the blanket, so I can get joining it today, with luck .
Have a lovely day everyone

Willow2017 · 23/06/2018 10:16

Chasingsquirrels · 23/06/2018 12:48

What a beautiful day!
Had a good walk and chat with my friend, cleared my head a bit.
The have been hedge trimming and tidying. I think I posted a picture of my severely-hacked-back lavender last autumn? Well this is today and I'm just in the middle of putting bricks in along the edge of the path to hold them back a bit.

Not wrong on the distance book, sounds like you had a lovely day x
