Argh, poor toe. By all means get DS working Willow but you need to take it easy.

I've just counted that I've put the kids into the car 5 times this morning... loaded up to go to GP, out and back in after, to school - out and back in, to town out and back in, to Tesco for food and the script and in and out at home... Now just stopping while smallest sleep.

Still need to go back for the meds as the pharmacy was so overrun it was half hour wait - not recommended with tired children. Then DS has after school club, but still need to get DD and then once we get DS an hour later, DD has to go to drama Hmm

book I've managed to send 4 squares off to Snugs and will now see if I can do some more in red, blue and green tones so they're a bit more masculine. Hope you don't get lost in the spare room of doooooom Wink

Hope everyone else OK 84, Squirrel and horse

Anyone have plans for Fathers day either with your dad or your children or male relatives? We're going to a local science museum DH will be thrilled Got some tickets to go watch bike racing in a few weeks time for us all which is probably more up his street.

Willow2017 · 14/06/2018 12:48

MrsJ well havent done a thing so far! I sat down with my hot water bottles and a cuppa and dozed off for half an hour. Woke up in mild panic thinking it was evening and still hadnt done tea! Then i thought i hadnt picked up ds2 from school then realised it was only 12.30😁😁

Busy day for you mrsJ i used to do cm for scma and family services so usually had to go puck up and drop off kids. Putting 2-3 kids in and out car seats 4-6 times a day was not good for the back either. Hope you get a quiet night to relax once kids are in bed.

84CharingCrossRoad · 14/06/2018 17:44

Have sorted Wilf out a new phone. He's going to pay half the cost of the monthly contract. Being delivered tomorrow. Tyler much improved today. He was VERY wobbly last night but was able to have a walk this morning.

MrsJonesAndMe · 14/06/2018 21:35

That's what would happen if I napped in the day - totally disoriented.

Well, got through the whole day so that's something Wink Friday tomorrow Smile

Glad to hear Wilf's phone is getting sorted and Tyler dog is better. How are you 84?

I'm going to go tuck myself up in bed now - so rock and roll, but yawning my head off!

Horsemad · 14/06/2018 22:22

Boss still a pita book 😕 He is very odd! I just go in, do my hours & come home. I have never felt so disconnected tbh.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/06/2018 06:51

I'm okay, just busy with work (in today), kids and life.

Urgh horse

Happy Friday!

Morning all!
Bright and breezy here this morning - rather fresher :)
MrsJ - gosh, all that lifting in and out of cars can't be doing your back any good . Hurrah for all the crochet squares . ( I'm plodding on with mine - just finished #11 , trying so hard to get all 20 done in time ...)
Willow - good that you have been told not to go into work - falling asleep shows you need to rest . Have a quiet day.
Horse - :( when you have to do that its a bit sad isn't it. It is hard to just plod on .
84 - hope the phone turns up - is it the same model? - I always hate a new phone, you have to relearn how to do everything. Poor old wobbly Tyler !
Chasing - yep, life does get in the way, hope you don't get too stressed out with it.
Off to do some committee work this morning , and then do a bit at the allotment. Not sure whats happening today after that.
Need to do a little bit of shopping - going to buy a few bits to eat on Sunday - DH is out for lunch with DD2 ,( thats their favoured Fathers Day thing ) , so I can have things no one else much cares for - but not sure what as yet, but just bits on a plate I think , so no cooking Grin .
Have a good day everyone

Willow2017 · 15/06/2018 10:06

Morning all.
Bit dull this morning but at least the wind has dropped was wild yesterday.

Slept in armchair with hot water bottles😀 couldn't get comfy in bed. But at least i slept a bit more. Back still sore but bearable this morning. Did nothing much yesterday except make roast chicken dinner and washing. And binge watch old episodes of 'River Cottage' with hwb at my back😊

Attacking living room, tidied my desk, dusted etc as man coming later to pc😉 dragging ds1 out of bed to help do some other stuff. He is a bloody walking accident he got up from his chair at pc last night and hit his toe again! Gonna wrap it in bubble wrap😀

Horse i know exactly how you feel its horrible.

Have a good day all.

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/06/2018 14:16

Hi all

Been very productive. Tired but accomplished. Now just need to get through school run, a to do list in town and bed time...

Catch up with you all later. Willow don't overdo it!

Chasingsquirrels · 15/06/2018 17:45

Been a bit awol, just busy though not anything untoward.

willow ds1's toe sounds horrific. And you need to rest.

Been at work today but finished on time, popped to Tesco then went swimming, only popped in for some own-brand low calorie drinks I can't get elsewhere but got a bit caught up so only ended up with 25 mins in the pool, but did 30 lengths.

Ds1 to DofE expitition tomorrow then meeting a friend for a drink after dropping him while ds2 at scouts. Need to take ds2 trainer shopping as one of his got taken from his pe bag which he left in the hall at school. Very annoying as some sort of prank just taking one of them, but not at all funny. Good job they were only shoe zone or similar cheap ones.

Then OLD guy (online dating could have another acronym!) coming to mine and we are going to am-dram Gilbert & Sullivan in the next village in the evening. Grin

Evening all.
Pottering day. Managed to get the contents of my filing cabinet down to 3 box files yeah me Grin Recycling filling up and it doesnt get emptied till tuesday!
Man has been and sorted the pc and I picked his brains on pc stuff from filing cabinet to keep or bin (mostly bin thank goodness)

Finally printed up the info the holiday cottage owner sent me. And we will be an hour from Chester Zoo so will hopefully get a visit in, see all the animals we watch on the tv. Grin Looking forward to the slate mines and the West Highland railway and The Great Orme.

Went for coffee with ds2 after school and a bit of shopping and petrol. Back niggling away (tbh it actually feels like my ol gall bladder pain today)
Have ordered a huge 'packing up' bundle: boxes, bubble wrap etc etc £20 cheaper to order the pack than seperately. Next week we are on!

DS1s toe has stopped leaking but its dressed and bandaged up in case he does himself another mischief! He is hopeless at taking his antibiotics, sick of reminding him already! Who knew what a little bash would to to it?

Squirrels trainer shopping rather you than me! DS2 is like me nothing fits properly, ds1 just picks the first ones that fit, he doesnt care about labels or fashion thank goodness. G&S sounds like a fun night, enjoy yourself.

Its wine o clock!!!

84CharingCrossRoad · 15/06/2018 19:12

Just finished work till Sunday night. My sister is coming to stay tomorrow and one of my closest friends and her husband are coming for dinner tomorrow night. Her stepdad was in the next ward to DP at the hospice last year. We had lost touch for a few years but reconnected and are now really close. When I took Wilf to see DP a few days before he died they were the friends I asked to help with the delicate task. When Wilf decided he needed some time out he held hands with her husband {first meeting} and they walked down to the quiet room together!
Mum is doing Roast Chicken tomorrow night and I'm doing a Jaffa Cake Trifle for pudding!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/06/2018 22:21

Well done willow

Enjoy the break 84

Have a good weekend all.

Night night

Willow2017 · 16/06/2018 00:00

Someone 'upstairs' hates me! Bloody gall bladder pain like a vice round my middle for hours. Why now? Nothing touching it. Fed up to back teeth with it all. Seems one night in my bed is too much to ask.

Chasingsquirrels · 16/06/2018 00:16

Oh willow sweetie x
I'm assuming you have tried heavy duty painkillers? Can your GP prescribe anything stronger?

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 16/06/2018 07:16

Hope you got some respite willow Wish I was closer to come give you a hug.

bookbook · 16/06/2018 09:07

Morning
Willow - sounds utterly horrendous - hope you managed to get some sleep and respite. Is it normally managed by diet, or is it time to get some intervention. gentle ((hugs)) - try to take it easy on yourself .Is it worth a trip to OOH if you have one locally?
Chasing - today sounds a full on day - I don't envy you trainer shopping at all! Enjoy your evening - its years since I went to an am -dram
84 - today sounds like a lovely meet up. Jaffa cake trifle you say - hmm - I have a couple of Jaffa cake lovers here, that is 'file away as useful' :)
Just getting myself sorted - working in the shop today. Its a bit grey and damp looking, so I doubt I will be busy. Am taking crochet with me ( square #13 ) I'm trying to get it done, and running out of time
Take care and have a good day all

Willow2017 · 16/06/2018 10:02

Morning all.
Finally fell asleep early am on sofa with heat pads on my back pushed against sofa when pain started to calm down. Missed alarm for swimming as phone died overnight.
Bloody annoyed at all that time wasted again.
Hoping its gone for another few years😀

Ooh could be anywhere between 12 miles and 30 miles away or the hosp 40 miles away Book. Depends on which one is open this weekend. Its annoying as they just expect people to be able to get there when ill/incapacitated or wait hours on a dr being able to come to your house. So fingers crossed it stays away. It has been a long time since it flared up. First time i had scan and there was nothing to see so no treatment. Dont know wheather to phone nhs24 and see if i can get another scan or they will say as its not as painful now to leave it.

Hope you arent too busy in the shop and can get on with the crochet 😉

Enjoy meet up 84.

MrsJ what have you got planned for today bet you are still busy despite not working😀

Hope the trainer hunt is simple Squirrels

84CharingCrossRoad · 16/06/2018 17:07

Not a good day today. Tyler was put to sleep this afternoon..... Sad

Willow2017 · 16/06/2018 17:07

Afternoon all.
Bloody frustrating day here. Have all the energy of a wet dishcloth. Fell asleep for another half hour at 12! Really pathetic. Have only done the never ending washing and dishes. Feel i have wasted the day and i dont like it one bit. Dont like feeling I should be doing stuff but dont have the get up and go do it. Still got niggling pain but bearable with hwb clapped to my back😀

Hope you all have had good fun and/or productive days.

Willow2017 · 16/06/2018 17:08

Xposted 84
Oh how awful. ((Hugs)) what happened?

Horsemad · 16/06/2018 18:56

Sorry about your lovely dog 84, I did post on your thread.

Willow, I don't know how you keep going. You must be shattered and it's one thing after another. I really hope you have a better week.

Quiet day here; DH away for the weekend, DS1 is out and DS2 is home tomorrow.
The house is quiet for the moment 🙂

Our weather today was like yours book but it is just coming good now.

Hope Chasing got the trainer shopping done - remember that with my two, easier now they do it themselves!

MrsJ, what have you been upto today?

Willow2017 · 16/06/2018 19:23

Hi Horse
I am not looking forward to tomorrow cant afford to take more time off work but dreading it. Am so knackered and sore i think if boss lady does any if her usual shit i will either tell her to f off or walk out or burst in to tears!

Enjoy the peace while you can😀
Been raining most of day but sun has decided to pop out now!

bookbook · 16/06/2018 19:27

Evening all
84 - so sorry ti hear about Tyler .
Willow - hope you rang NHS24 - you can't go around with hot water bottles strapped to your back !
Horse - we finally had some rain about 6 o clock . Not enough, but better than none . Sunny now :)
Had a very quiet day after the shop stint. I made some pea and ham soup , crocheted and did a bit of pottering in the garden.
Going to have a bath, and then do a pedicure - I like to have toe nail varnish on in summer when my feet are out on show :)
Take care everyone
