He's home! Slight hiccup but we sorted it. Had Mum on the phone just now as I hadn't let her know that he was home....

I love Croque Monsieur MrsJ - I never make it at home though - its usually one of the things I order if I am out for lunch
Willow - painting ??? and poor DS ' toe, but good for him sticking to not drinking - that takes courage
Had a lovely time out with DD - I bought a new lipstick some matching nail varnish and a mascara - ( for the wedding in August - I rather suspect my old mascara has dried up, I haven't worn any for sooo long) . Bought a plant from a charity stall and helped DD to choose some material for a dress.
I got home and have had tea made by DH , and then sat and started a rush blanket kit for WH , which arrived today . A good day :)

Am taking ds2 to a judo competition today and ds1 is going to a family event with his girlfriend!

Book i told him i was proud of him for sticking to his guns. Cant believe parents letting kids drink then complaining they were drunk and sending them off for a walk to 'sober up' as they didnt want to be responsible for them in that state!

Oh Willow, these teen parties... 🙄 been there, done that (both myself and as a parent!). Sounds like your DS is a sensible lad which can only be a good thing. Hope his toe is ok today though, OUCH!!! Poor thing.

Weather reasonable here today, so washing on line & a few jobs to be done before we are off out this afternoon.

Have a good afternoon horse and hope work is going okay willow.

Ds2 got a bronze - which isn't as good as it sounds because they compete in groups of 4 and the bottom 2 get a bronze. But he won one fight and the other bronze didn't win any of his so he felt a bit better about that.

Just putting new lawn mower together, and wondering whether 4-stroke oil is the same as the stuff I have to top up my car. Off to my parents soon - they collected Charlie earlier as ds1 was out as well so it seems very quiet here without him.

I've given up with my lawnmower I HATE it with a passion. In the 15 years I've owned it I've almost hit a broken wrist and a dislocated shoulder from starting the bloody thing....
We now pay Wilf's best friend who owns a gardening business to do it!!
I've spent a little while in the garden having a cup of tea. Bumble enjoyed it too!!

Benn crafting away this morning on WH blanket ( its a bit of a rush job) . Popped to the allotment for an hour after lunch to water and pick strawberries. Then hacking away weeding in the garden since then. Everyone due soon for tea, then the evening free to carry on with the blanket .- EDIT - they arrived while I was typing !
Willow - hard to decide on hours v money , certainly have to think of your health in this .
MrsJ - arghhh - hope you manage 5 minutes to yourself today to snooze.

Just popped out to pick some elderflower heads for cordial. Popped in to the cemetery to say hello to Alan too. Was cycling back to the shop when I heard a voice call out to me. Was the son in law of my best friend. His wife was one of Wilf's gaggle of baby sitters. She is 7 months pregnant so was sharing baby advice. Was suggesting they took the first baby grow home from the hospital for their dogs to smell. That's what Wilf's dad and I did. We sat 45 minutes in the garden catching up and I had a cheeky beer with her husband!!

Evening all.
Well that was hellish. Boss cook shouting and swearing telling till staff to tell anyone who wanted anything but standard breakfasts as they come to f off calling customers all the * under the sun! Boss female getting in bloody way messing up orders and blaming me for every thing. Was nearly walking by half 11!

Busy all day didn't finish tlll 8.30.

I dont know how long i.can stand this.

Loks like every one has had better days (except lawnmower troubles)

Will be making Elderflower Cordial this morning. Work today twice and then my friend is coming to colour my hair for me! Heard from DP's daughters yesterday and we are all going out for lunch together tomorrow!

Elderflower Cordial recipe
No hair colouring tonight now as my friend has a sick bug!

This morning I went to drop a birthday present off with a friends son. She has elderflower hanging over on the road so she let me pick it. I've frozen four bags of heads. My other friend gave me 5 soft bananas so made her 12 muffins and also two loaves, one for Mum and I and one for bossman. Also made chicken curry for dinner! Back to work at 5pm till half six.

MrsJ I went to see Lionel Richie in concert and very good he was too! 😁

Weather was fab - important for an open air event!!

Havent done much after shopping first thing. Been aching all over neck and back is rigid. Will be telling them no more 9.5hr shifts ! Not worth it at all.
84 our elderflowers are just starting to come out dont know if i have the energy for cordial this year.

MrsJ you might need to get the citric acid online as a lot of chemists dont sell it as its used to cut drugs with!

When are you back at work Willow? Hope you ease up a bit before then. I agree 9.5hrs in that sort of work environment sounds hard work.

Busy day at work then been for a meal with SIL & BIL and their son & his wife who married last Sep. Really nice to see them, but bittersweet.

Called OLD guy afterwards and had a lovely chat. Seeing him again on Saturday evening.
