What's the worst thing an Ex said to you, when the relationship broke down?

My first husband cheated on me, throughout our 20 year relationship. I had no idea, until about 16 years in, and then I took a few years to leave him.

Some gems from him, on learning that I was leaving :

  • I'm going to convert my parents loft into a bedroom, and the children can live there without you (50 miles away) Confused

  • You will live to regret this (erm, no, I won't)

And my personal favourite, after weeks and weeks of begging me not to leave....

"Oh just fuck off then, sex with you was like fucking a corpse anyway"

Gaaah

‘My ex who’ve I’ve not been sleeping with is pregnant and she says it’s mine’ (it was!)

‘My ex is younger, prettier and firmer than you and has bigger boobs’

‘I’m just going to pick the kids up and I’ll ring you’. Didn’t hear from him for another 4hrs and found out he was shagging his ‘ex’. Whilst picking the kids up.

‘I still love you but I had no choice (to go back with his ex) because of the way that YOU are with men’

He was an emotionally abusive arsehole. To me and her.

And the worst thing is I work with the bastard.

On his new girlfriend, after 6 years with me (a little older than him) and my 2 DCs, who were fond of him;

'She's younger than me, without kids, which is what I wanted really' Hmm

One of my first boyfriends a a teen -“ you look nice with make up on but without it I don’t fancy you at all” not a really terrible comment but it really hurt and knocked my confidence for a while.

Ex of many moons ago way before my lovely DH - “you look amazing with your clothes on but you look so ugly and saggy without them, can’t you fix that!?”

He had a tiny cock and I told him so.

I am SO sorry to all who have had to deal with such monsters and some who still are. Leave these bastards please, for yourself and your DC. You really don’t deserve this shit. Life WILL be better without them I promise.

It's the hurt is caused my DD who believes he has never been happy since she born.

Did he tell her that? Sad

"What's the best thing you like about me?"

"Your eyebrows".

paddypants13 · 21/05/2018 22:25

I cheated on you because you didn't pay mr enough attention whilst your mum was having treatment for breast cancer.

Not exact words but close enough!

I'm now happily married with two beautiful children. He did me a favour. Sad twat.

"No wonder your dads an alcoholic. No one can stand to be around you. You just make people want a drink to cope"

Saw these elsewhere today and thought they were apt for this thread

I imagine most PPs will recognise stuff from the black and white one.
