Hello

Hope you're over the tetchyness now horse and that the house is sparkling.

Willow it's such a shame that he's so unhappy when it could be great. School needs to come down harder - can you site their duty of care to your child?

Well done for all the allotment work book I've done my applique notes now. Hoping it's OK.

(((hugs))) Squirrel - you've done well to have a visitor in the house this week too.

Willow2017 · 08/05/2018 22:21

MrsJ
Will see what pastoral teacher says. Havent checked emails to see if she has replied yet.

MrsJonesAndMe · 09/05/2018 06:38

Good luck Willow

Sun is out!

Chasingsquirrels · 09/05/2018 07:14

Sun here too ☺.
Hope you have some success with school Willow.
Exchange partner leaving today, going to school with ds1 so I don't need to drop them.
Ds1 has DofE meeting after school and ds2 will be roller skating so an afternoon of taxi-mum for me. Then bridge club for me. Hopefully work will be productive today.

Willow2017 · 09/05/2018 09:33

Morning all.
Not so nice today sun trying to get out behind clouds and cooler.

Thanks MrsJ and Squirrels.
Hope work goes better today Squirrels and you win tonight Wink

Oh poop, just got a txt to see if I can work tonight. Oh well think of the extra money Willow think of the money!

DS1 is coming to hosp with me to keep me company (nearly dropped when he said yes as last time you would think I had asked him to strip naked and run through the streets!) Picking him up from school at 11.30 and heading to hosp. Then hopefully back in time for ds2 from school and then work.

bookbook · 09/05/2018 10:39

Morning all!
Sun here as well, but cloudier and cooler than yesterday.
Willow - how nice of DS1 to come with you, its always nice to have someone by your side. Hope pastoral care pull finger out for you re DS2
Chasing - hope work goes well, all that chasing about, but Bridge to look forward to :)
MrsJ - up and about early again I see ...!
I've been pootling around this morning - washing in, a shower, made soup for lunch ,( I had so much asparagus ! ) gone and looked around greenhouse. Just having a coffee and then on with cleaning and hoovering - it has been so nice, we have had the french doors open, and yesterday it turned a bit windy in the afternoon, and the blossom from my cherry tree went everywhere - I'm still finding petals in all sorts of places :)
Have a good day everyone

Very hot here again. Just been to do my school duty. Got to work tonight too. Have got a friend coming for a cup of tea this afternoon. I have made lemon drizzle muffins....

Willow2017 · 09/05/2018 13:39

Oooh pass a muffin please 84.
Had one in hosp cafe but dry and crumby😐 no sandwiches or anything savoury left at all but of course after we were sat down the sarnie delivery arrived😁
Waiting for bloods to come back before i get in to see Dr. 25 mins and counting .

Willow2017 · 09/05/2018 15:22

Oh dammit. Platelet levels dropped again. Have to have bloods done at gp surgery in 3 weeks and haemo Dr will phone when he gets results to let me know if he thinks i need steroids if its dropped again. And go back to hosp in 6 weeks regardless. Botheration😤

Chasingsquirrels · 09/05/2018 17:09

Oh Willow, not the news you were hoping for ((hugs)).

Even more taxi-ing than expected as ds1 texted to ask if he could go to an athletics meet at school after DofE - but hadn't taken his kit, so could I drop that to him at school. So home after work, find kit, take ds2 (collecting friend on the way) to rollerskating in next village one way, back to school in next but 1 village the other way, took Charlie with me and walked him in between and now waiting to pick up ds2 & friend then Ds1 to be collected at 6pm from school and bridge at 7pm. Phew!

Muffins sound lush 84.

Petals sound lovely (but a pain) book.

Chasingsquirrels · 09/05/2018 17:12

Oh and exchange partner left today went on the bus to school with ds1 - I'd asked if he'd got everything. Went into his room and his coat was hanging on the back of the door. Rushed up the road but the bus had gone so had to dash to school (at least on the way to work) to give it to him.

MrsJonesAndMe · 09/05/2018 17:36

Hello, just a quick check in to see how you got on Willow - sorry to hear it's not great news, glad DS was there. Are you working? Think of the money indeed.

I've had a quieter than planned day as one off sick, so just 2 smalls.

Made a start on some crochet too. How is the kit assembly going book?

Hope you can relax a bit now Squirrel! Enjoy bridge.

Hmm muffins! Yum, 84, can I come over?

bookbook · 09/05/2018 19:05

Evening
oh Willow , how upsetting for you - I hope the doctors/hospital are keeping you informed on what is the way forward. No wonder you are tired . Take care of yourself , and I hope tonights extra shift is easy on you.
84 - ooh , my favourite lemon drizzle! :)
Chasing - gosh, you won't have had time to draw breath with all that to-ing and fro-ing. Hope the work went well at least!
MrsJ - a bit easier for you today, one down :) New assembly is a Candys, and mostly 6 " ers, so therefore more joining , but I have done all the horizontals, and am ploughing on with the verticals now. I hope to finish by the weekend - I hope so, have a busy weekend,- Saturday morning tied up with some committee work , Sunday all the family round and next week I have 2 committee meetings and we are on extra DGS duty !

Willow2017 · 09/05/2018 21:17

Evening all.
Busybees all round.
Squirrels you will meet yourself coming back!
Work steadily busy all shift right to the wire. Late finishing but you can only wash dirty dishes and greasy kitchen stuff so fast😀

Came home to kitchen mess and got cross! May need another new, easily broken when kicked wash basket words were had and both dispatched to clean up. Grrrrr.

Chasingsquirrels · 09/05/2018 22:32

Kitchen mess here too Willow when I got back from bridge - pan and frying pan in the sink so 1 each. I've left them there and will have words in the morning.
Work was very productive, taxi-ing was necessary and okay and I had a nice walk with Charlie in between.
Didn't get home until 6.20 and out at 6.50 so just had soup and told the boys to cook themselves something egg based as we had 20!
Bridge was good, although I was playing with someone new and I didn't have a clue - but we laughed about it so that's okay. Unfortunately one group in was in were discussing someone's hospital treatment and mentioned the local private hospital where John had his chemo and I started to say something and just couldn't then quietly started leaking tears. Luckily I wasn't playing that hand so excused myself and cried in the loos. One of the ladies asked me afterwards if I was okay and we had a chat about it.

Busy weekend for you book although I didn't quite follow that foreign language you were talking 😂

MrsJonesAndMe · 10/05/2018 12:32

Hello all

Quieter day so far, but not without drama. Children pah! Hmm

I've managed to weigh and measure myself today Envy

Willow2017 · 10/05/2018 13:03

Ha ha they never have money! Well ds2 does as he saves some of his but ds1 would spend it all on sweets and game stuff crap add ons unless he pulls his finger out and starts pulling his weight without drama he isnt getting pocket money!

I got weighed at hosp and havent lost anything! I dont know how as jeans are falling off me and working without breaks/meals/on my feet working constantly all shift should have produced results surely?😭

Busy morning (well ran away for coffee first thing and get a few bits forgot mop head and wash basket ) washing out and scrubbed fridge out, sorted the bottle shelf in door superglued front on 😀 organised the freezer drawers. Where is my halo?

Working at 3 so having a bite to eat and sit down.

((Hugs)) Squirrels you just cant prepare for what you cant predict.

Hens are going mad! Think you should use them up in cakes for us😉

Lovely day but occaisional dark cloud threatening it and cold out the sun.
Have a good one.

84CharingCrossRoad · 10/05/2018 15:35

I've agreed to take this hairy hound down to Kent in half term to see Wilf.
It's quite easy by train. Train from Diss to Stratford and then a walk round the outside of Westfield and then high speed train to Margate. You can be there in just over 3 hours!
There is a lovely dog friendly cafe on the beach so we will go there for lunch with friends and their new dog.
Bumble is used to travelling on public transport. He travelled on the tube during the Olympics with me while visiting Wilf in hospital in London...

I've agreed to take this hairy hound to see Wilf in half term. The train is quite straight forward and I can be there in just over 3 hours.
There is a lovely dog friendly cafe on the seafront and we plan to meet friends and their dog for lunch.
Bumble is a good boy on public transport and is used to travelling. Whilst Wilf was in hospital in London during the Olympics Bumble travelled on the tube from Liverpool Street to Tooting with me and was excellent!

Willow2017 · 10/05/2018 16:19

Pass the caulis here Book i love cauli although 9 would be ott even for me😁
Quick cig break at work while its quietened down.

Lovely pooch 84 . Sounds like a nice day out despite 3 hrs travel!

MrsJonesAndMe · 10/05/2018 17:26

Hi all, just a drama run to do now...

If you can see a difference in your clothes, then that must mean something Willow - also different scales or different times of day make a difference.

Ah, 84 bumbledog must be a good boy to do such a trip!

That's a lot of cauli book I'm not much of a fan unless in cauliflower cheese. I never get invited to weddings Sad

Hope your day has been good Squirrel Are you still doing 5:2?

Chasingsquirrels · 10/05/2018 19:06

Bridge ends in tears every week cake, I think it is having enjoyed myself and wanting to share that with John. But I do enjoy it.
5:2 seems to have gone by the by the last few weeks, must get back to it - although out tomorrow night with a couple of WAY ladies and never bother doing it at the weekend, Monday...

Lovely Bumbledog 84, be a long day for both of you with all that travel.

Oh, our tea is ready!

MrsJonesAndMe · 10/05/2018 21:01

Monday sounds good Grin
