It's ds1 who is the slots money magnet here Willow and ds2 and I who just put it in and it's gone.

Lovely day here too cake (well seems it from my bed, really should get up ...).

bookbook · 07/05/2018 09:00

Morning all!
Absolutely gorgeous here too.
Need to get going a bit - my DSIS and BIL are popping in for coffee and a chat this morning , so need want to whizz around and tidy up a bit and pop to get some milk . Should have got some yesterday, but forgot.
DH and I spent a bit of time weeding/cutting grass and tidying in the garden, so it's looking nice so we can sit out - such a joy.
Haven't been to a fair for years - I used to love them , though mostly hook a duck and quoits over bottles!
Have a fabulous sunny day everyone

Chasingsquirrels · 07/05/2018 15:56

Glorious day here, ds2 cycled off with a friend at 10.30 to do his stint on the scouts burger stall, I walked over with Charlie at 12, found ds2 and went to the dog show.
Ds1 & exchange did bacon and eggs then come over.
Charlie got 1st in the waggiest tail then I sat and chatted with friends in their garden while ds2 went round the fair with a friend.
He came back just as ds1 called to see where I was so we all came back together.
Going to have bbq for tea and just invited my parents over so better take a bit more meat out of the freezer.

Just remember ds1 & exchange need to take packed lunches tomorrow, don't know what I've got it!

Afternoon all
well, got very little done today - DSIS came, and stayed until about 3 .
So once they had gone, did a few bits needing to be done at the allotment. But miles too hot, so came home.
Late lunch too, so going to just do a simple pasta thing for our evening meal, but somewhat later than normal .
Chasing awww - waggiest tail! That's lovely :)
Enjoy what is left of the day !

Well done Charlie 😁 sounds like a good day all round Squirrels.

Book lovely day to jusy sit and enjoy company.

Did shopping with ds2, went to cafe. Ge needed joggers and ended up getting him a thin zip up too for his bike adventures/summer so got ds1 a couple of nice t-shirts too. Next time i am getting something for me😁
Ll have finished thier beds and left a big space between them so could have left my little honeysuckke and montana. To add insult to injury they have planted 2 big clematis against the wall in the 'new border'. Didnt stay outside while they were there, feeling a bit petulant but i couldnt watch them.

Washed floors my new mop head doesnt fit dammit so had to use my knackered half the size it used to be old one😁

Ds2 been of with pals again. They were diwn the beach, then in local wood making a den with dead wood and got shouted at by some busy body old woman passing by to get out its not your property!! They are coming here next time as nobody will bother them here making dens. (She should go past at high school pick up time, lots of younger siblings go in there while waiting😀) Damm sight better than sitting indoors. My kids have had similar childhood to mine out raking woods, park, river etc as soon as old enough to do so with friends. Its just normal here in the back of beyond😀

Suppose i should feed them now😉 ironing sitting staring at me too.

Willow2017 · 07/05/2018 18:30

2 bees rescued!
Stupid things in my kitchen window. Great big bumbler and small one. Cant open the window and its full of a huge trailing plant, cacti and other 'stuff' cue me perched on bunker catching bees in a glass and passing to ds2 to throw outside 😁

Going to clear out the window sill tomorrow and wash window. My house walls are 2' thick so deep windowsills😀 half my plant is turning brown so might need a prune back too.

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/05/2018 19:50

Hello all

Willow Grr @ silly bees, busy bodies and stupid LL

book that sounds like a lovely visit. Hope you got the house up to scratch beforehand Wink

Squirrel well done to Charlie and what sounds like a good day.

We were out till about 1pm, DS went straight into the paddling pool, I tackled the house and DD had homework melt down, DH ironed, I carried on with house work and helped DS with homework and then finally at 5pm I cooked collected Chinese

Well deserved sit down with crochet now!

Chasingsquirrels · 07/05/2018 19:56

I hadn't noticed @bookbook, but I imagine I'm easily identifiable if anyone knows me. I'll message MN-HQ and ask them to change it, thanks.
Good bbq with my parents and the boys all played with Charlie who is now exhausted after walking to and from the fair and running round the garden like a loon.

Sounds like you have had good days book & willow - your bee rescue made me smile.

Hope cake, 84, horse & selena are all okay.

Back to work tomorrow, been a lovely weekend.

Chasingsquirrels · 07/05/2018 20:02

@MrsJonesAndMe thanks for the pm, book pm'd me too and I have reported it 👍

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/05/2018 20:32

Good x

84CharingCrossRoad · 07/05/2018 20:34

Surprisingly I didn't have a hangover this morning. Worked this morning and evening.

Chasingsquirrels · 07/05/2018 21:48

Must have cross posted with you and missed yours cake.
Sounds like a good day and well deserved rest this evening, are your nights any better at the moment?

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/05/2018 22:07

DS waking very early, but seems to sleep like a log at present. Thanks for asking.

Glad you're OK 84 Grin

Willow2017 · 07/05/2018 22:19

All done.
Packed lunches, ironing and kids fed and showered. Am sitting down with wine and not getting up again😀

Horsemad · 08/05/2018 09:03

Morning all 🙂

Day off today to extend the Bank Hol - and what lovely weather we've had! Hard to think about going back to work tomorrow though 🙁 Woke up at 6 this morning thinking about work...

Sounds like everyone has had a reasonable weekend. Glad to hear you managed to salvage your plants Willow, still don't understand what your LL is thinking?

Not sure what to do today, bit of housework followed by a bit of downtime I think. 🙂

Horsemad · 08/05/2018 09:04

PS, congrats to Charlie for the Waggiest Tail! 😀

Willow2017 · 08/05/2018 09:25

Morning all.
Not great start to the day. Ds2 couldnt find his glasses hunted all over getting stressed till he fkund them then forgot gym kit which we realised 3/4 way to school. I got cross. Cue panic attack and had to bring home and had a cuddle while he got it out his system. Poor soul was sobbing and shaking and i feel awful i should have kept quiet and just brought the damm kit for him. Phoned school and left a message to say he will be late. So mad with life after he had a great weekend whenever we have something good happen in this house something bad invariably follows.

Enjoy your day off Horse sod the housework 😉

Need to go pick up ds1 after his morning class as there isnt a bus till school one at 4. No rest for the wicked 😀

So hot last night woke at 2 roasting alive!

Horsemad · 08/05/2018 13:17

Don't beat yourself up Willow. As long as you were there for him and let him get it out of his system, it will be ok.

Boring bloody housework here! I am tired & tetchy too, not good!

Willow2017 · 08/05/2018 13:56

Thanks Horse. We tried again but didnt work so kept him off. Had a big chat about school and the little sods there. Wont hurt in the grand scheme of things to chill out and he has cleaned the bathroom for me!!! (I should keep him off more often Wink )
Will email his pastoral care teacher, she isnt in on a Tuesday, and let her know and she can pass on that those little gits are still pestering him every day.

Sorted through a mountain of post, and all the 'stuff' on my desk (not all mine) got a pile of filing and rubbish and can see my desk again Grin.

Hospital tomorrow afternoon, hopefully the last haemotology one if blood is the same.

MrsJonesAndMe · 08/05/2018 14:13

Oh no Willow is moving him an option? School should sort it though - he shouldn't have to move!

Hope you're enjoying your day off horse not good to wake up early, especially not when it's work related.

Have had a busy morning, just sitting for a bit before school run etc all kicks off again!

Check in with you all later - hope Selena OK?!

Willow2017 · 08/05/2018 14:29

MrsJ
Dont want to move him as he has finally got friends and is 'loving life' to quote the txt he sent me when he went off the first time at the weekend. Have emailed his pastoral care, the boys have extra care staff as they are trouble so she will probably have a word with them about it. If it doesnt stop I might have to press for more action.

Have spent about 15 minutes clearing out emails! What a load of rubbish! Working later Sad fingers crossed for a good shift. Hope you arent too busy this afternoon MrsJ.

Laughing at letter I got from some company I ordered stuff from in 2005! Apparently they have to refund my package insurance so wanted to check my address was still the same and they will send out a check....got all excited until I saw... £2.25 Grin Grin Oh well...
But I am in credit with utilities and thats a whole lot more, have asked for a refund and have reduced my monthly dd on their advice by £20. Fingers crossed.

bookbook · 08/05/2018 15:24

Afternoon all
Lovely , sunny and a bit too hot again here.
Went early to the allotment before it got too bad, did loads , picked loads. Got home, sat down for a coffee and then went out to do our bit of shopping at the market.
Have done some housework inside, some crochet and am about to go and do some greenhouse pottering and gardening when it gets a bit cooler.
84 - a good constitution you must have!
Willow - poor DS2 , it so hard for you both, but you are doing a great job by sounds - all the pennies add up in the end. Hope the hospital appointment goes well
Horse - time to put your feet up and relax - sounds like a lot of hard work there on a hot day - I get tetchy too when I am hot .
MrsJ - all busy as usual - though good to hear DS is sleeping well, even if its not long enough .
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

OP posts:
Chasingsquirrels · 08/05/2018 19:16

Feel for you both Willow, you just want to protect him but you can't be there all the time to do that.
Hope work goes okay thus evening and no problems with your bloods tomorrow.

Hot again here book although I missed the best of it being at work, I can imagine it would be too much on the allotment.

Hope you have enjoyed your day off horse, nice to have an extra long weekend.

Glad that ds is sleeping soundly cake even if it could be for longer!

Ds1 & exchange went to Cambridge with the rest of them today, they walked around a bit and were offered a tour of the college's which ds1 said he wanted to do but no one else did so they didn't do it. A bit annoying as it was meant to be part of it and they hadn't booked it apparently.
Then they took Charlie for a long walk late afternoon and we have just had pizza for tea.
Exchange partner back off to German tomorrow.
Been nice having him here, especially as ds1 has had to be social so I've actually seen more of him as well.

I was having a good day at work, motoring through some stuff which is long overdue, then had to do something else. Bit annoying as I've got a pile of stuff to get through and want to get a lot of it done by the end next week, but not in yesterday, on a course on Thursday morning and not in Friday.

Willow2017 · 08/05/2018 20:51

Evening all. Shift busy and knackered from all the cleaning i did before we left.

Very hot but had a fair bit of rain from 4 -5.

Waiting for my programme to come on.

Squirrels what a shame about the tour. Maybe another time?

Book how hot was it at allotment? Its hard enough when its not roasting😀
