I txt the person who got the bollocking. She doesnt care and told me "Dont stress its fine, just leave it, boss will believe whatever she wants to. I dont care." She said sticking together is the only way to survive the madness Grin what a star. I dont want to stir things so will keep stumm.

MrsJonesAndMe · 01/05/2018 06:08

Morning, how is it possible to wake up so tired? Sun is out, guess that's something!

Have a good day all x

Chasingsquirrels · 01/05/2018 08:01

Sun here too cake 🙂

Willow2017 · 01/05/2018 09:01

Sun here too but actual frost still on steps first thing!
Survived getting kids to school (ds1 only just survived making such a big deal of the extra classes i could cheerfully clobber him😤) taking his bleeping pc cable away with me tonight focus his bloody mind a bit. You would think it was a punishment to learn life skills.
Washing out, toast in. And relax😀😀

bookbook · 01/05/2018 09:32

Morning all!
Glorious sun here too .
Willow - sounds like you now have support at work - hope it helps . Children do get easier ( well, after they leave home, and they realise all that you did for them ) Grin
I have washing in the machine .
MrsJ - hope you get the chance to rest a bit . Best thing not to put any stress on your wrist - better to be steady and not do any damage .

Today DH and I are taking it a bit easy this morning, just a trip to the market . The afternoon - a trip to the allotment with DH . Hopefully not too heavy duty - would like to have a little potter at home in the garden too if it stays fair .
Have a good day everyone

Still sunny here but what a cold wind. To cold to sit out with my cuppa!
2nd load of washing out and dry stuff all distributed/put away. My epitath is going to say "She only ever did washing." 😁
Bathroom done and pottered with 'stuff'. Having a blast on xbox to take out frustrations on before work😀

I sometimes feel like acting like a stroppy teen stamping my feet and yelling "oh just shut up thats (e.g. a random fingerprint on cake display fridge cos a child stood there 2 minutes ago) not important but trying to sell cake thats been there for a month to some poor customer is!" Or saying something is allergy free when it possibly isnt is really not freaking on you stupid woman.

At least tonight will be stress free shift 😁 cant wait till day off tomorrow.

Gee thanks Book! He might not make it to adulthood at this rate. I got a small rucksack out for him today as he only needs pens and wallet...everything tipped out his big bag onto bed and he took that! I give up.

Catch up later

MrsJonesAndMe · 01/05/2018 20:20

Hello

Hope you've survived the shift Willow and that DS1 is still alive Wink

I've had a bad day food wise, but just sitting with crochet and counting to 27 repetitively - I'm really not a natural at this stage Grin Blush

DS asleep, DH out till later, so can have the light up bright and the house quiet!

What work are you doing at the allotment book Did some planting at the weekend and sown some seeds too!

Hope everyone else OK and Wilf too Lottie

Juan has a job - don't know any other details, will update if/when I hear more. She's still struggling.

PS got wet walking home from school via the park - it all looked so promising this morning!!!! Angry

Willow2017 · 01/05/2018 21:06

I survived😁 himself is asleep in bed! Beem told to move his butt and do dishes...not holding my breath.

Hope you get to enjoy the peace Mrsj

Hope Wilf is feeling better and you too 84.

bookbook · 01/05/2018 21:08

Evening !
Sat down after a bath, and yes, crochet to hand ( joining a blanket for WH)
Willow life eh- I would love to do do a strop sometimes, but am too grown up sadly , and would feel guilty! .
Allotment is running ahead of me atm MrsJ - the bad weather knocked us back. I have planted out peas in plugs ( already germinated) , and direct sown a row.. Planted broad beans at the weekend. Loads of seedlings in plugs at home - all the brassicas, leeks, beetroot. Sown sweetcorn today in the greenhouse. I am mostly prepping up at the plot - digging out stuff and getting ready. DH cut the grass ( a massive task , it was so lush) , put up wigwams for sweetpeas . My windowsills are full of cucumber and squash seedlings . The greenhouse full of tomato/pepper and aubergine plants just growing away now its a bit sunnier.
Its actually stayed dry all day - not so tomorrow by looks .
Thanks for keeping us updated with Juan - pass on my love .
Back to the blanket
Night all, sleep well

I was sat following a youtube tutorial in French last night Hmm (I don't speak a word of it) and working in black thread which is nigh on impossible to see!

That sounds great book Hope the weather cooperates now so that you can plant out.

Deep breaths Willow Glad shift went well and new one seems like a more sensible soul.

Hope Selena is having a good time away!

Will pass on love to Juan

Horsemad · 02/05/2018 07:36

Heck MrsJ, I'd struggle to follow a tutorial in English, never mind a language I don't speak!!

Cat in for a dental this morning (expensive!) so need to get a wriggle on & get her to the surgery. She's going mad for food, bless her!

Hope everyone has a good day. Weather damp & miserable here, so indoors jobs today I think 🙂

84CharingCrossRoad · 02/05/2018 08:03

Currently sitting in my hotel room with a cup of tea. Breakfast at 9am.
Wilf didn't win last night but we had a lovely evening. We ended up Mcdonalds on the way back to his.

Still supporting after DH died ( Juan et al)
Horsemad · 02/05/2018 09:30

Estimated bill for cat £400! Shock

84CharingCrossRoad · 02/05/2018 09:44

Is the cat insured Horse ???

Willow2017 · 02/05/2018 10:53

Morning.
Tried posting earlier but it wouldnt do it!

Wet and cold here and a bit misty.

Been for cofffee and long read of my book and potter round shops.
Ds1 enjoyed the life skills thing at school yesterday but doesnt want to do the marine thing as apparently the guy doing it is unpleasant, cocky and its not based in school they have to go out on a fishing boat! Ds has no interest in being a fisherman! And he told him it will cost £150 for the course!!! Nobody said anything about that. Will phone school and ask what is going on.

Opticians with ds2 after school. They have inset day friday so might get a long lie😁

Love to Juan hope new job helps a bit.

Mrsj it wasnt a newbie who took the bullet for me but the friend i knew before i started. Newbies are all half my age (so probably cheaper to give them extra shifts instead of muggins)

Have a good day everyone.

Willow2017 · 02/05/2018 10:53

£400😲 do you have insurance Horse?

Willow2017 · 02/05/2018 10:56

Argh this site is mental this morning.

Lovely photo 84 love the piggies😀 ds2 saw long haired ones at garden centre and he wants one!

Horsemad · 02/05/2018 12:24

No she's not insured, not even sure if normal dental work is covered by insurance.

She's never cost us anything in the 6 yrs we've had her, so it's just one of those things. Still expensive though!

MrsJonesAndMe · 02/05/2018 12:40

Hello

Quick pop in... had to pull out all the crochet I did last night - too wide. Just started again as 2 asleep!

OMG how much for teeth horse - bet you wouldn't spend that on your own!

Ah, OK Willow old friend. Hmmm, fingers crossed for something else.

Cute picture 84 shame he didn't win, but he did very well.

Catch you all later - very wet here!

Willow2017 · 02/05/2018 14:35

Horse
Well i supppose £400 over 6 years isnt a bad way to see it even though its a lot of money. Does your vet allow you to pay it up?

Had chat with ds1s guidance teacher. I swear they dont tell each other anything at that school😀 she is going to find out and call me. If he doesnt want to do it she said its fine but will find out info on it for me anyway. I think ds1 thought the guy was a bit brash and "i am the big i am" and really didnt know why they were there (the life skills on course were suppised to apply to other areas not just at sea) as the first things he said was "why do you want to be a fisherman or work at sea?" And "it will cost you £150 to do this." And "first lesson will be on a fishing boat and crew will be tough on you to let you know how dangerous it is." 😲 erm nope dont think so. Ds1 hasnt been on a boat since about 3yr old when we all went to Balamory Tobermory 😀😀 and we were all cross that the owners had changed the colour of 'Miss Hoolies' house to a vile navy blue (and did a really bad job of it)😞

Aww pity about all that work Mrsj. You must have patience of a saint.

bookbook · 02/05/2018 17:03

Afternoon!
Had head down busy today - absolutely chucking it down this morning, so decided to go for it and finish my blanket . Its been posted off this afternoon. It did stop raining about 2 , so made a dash to pick veg, and pop for some milk , and go to PO

MrsJ - oh no, heartbreaking taking back work, but at least you know how it works second time around ( small mercies) . I am planning some knitting tonight.
Horse - wow, just wow £400 ....... I don't think normal dentists cost that much do they?
84 - lovely pic, shame Wilf didn't win. Hope you enjoyed your breakfast :)
Willow - that sounds so completely bonkers, there must be some mis communication somewhere , surely?
Hope everyone else is okay .
Suns out now!

MrsJonesAndMe · 02/05/2018 19:46

I only did a bit thankfully and have redone that now. Just need to go sit with the French lady now and finish off that bit....while you're here.....if you sew on appliqué type thing, do you use yarn or cotton? Such a novice 😳

Sleep well all, catch up tomorrow. Only 2 small people and then 3 again Friday.

bookbook · 02/05/2018 20:54

MrsJ - just put my knitting down ( finished next square!) - I applique with the same yarn. If you want it to be very fine, you can use 2 of the ply, but I normally us it as is IYSWIM - firmly sewn on for safety :)

MrsJonesAndMe · 02/05/2018 21:01

Cool, thanks - useful to know. I've made a back to front music note. Clearly not just French that I'm rubbish at, but also crochet Grin Wink will have another go and see what I can sort. Just going to carry on with the plain square for now.

Horsemad · 02/05/2018 21:18

Cat ok, no extractions. Total bill was £330, so a bit cheaper than first imagined. She's been a bit skitty since we got her home but has settled down now and currently asleep. 🙂

Hope the school thing gets sorted Willow - seems a bit steep, expecting the parents to pay £150 Shock
