Not a good day here for various reasons. Hope the rest of the day is better.
I'm doing a sleepover weekend at work. My lady has dementia and her partner is away for the weekend. I do half two Friday till half night Sat morning. Then the same. Sat afternoon till Sunday morning. I'm doing extra on Sunday night as I'm going to Wilf's award ceremony on Tuesday night.

84CharingCrossRoad · 26/04/2018 15:18

night nine......

MrsJonesAndMe · 26/04/2018 17:58

Sending virtual Cake Wine and (((hugs))) to you all. Just on the home stretch to my weekend now...though tomorrow involves a lot of cleaning and admin!

bookbook · 26/04/2018 19:36

Just a quick pop in to wave at everyone
Willow - poor DS
84 the sleepover weekend sounds exhausting - (hugs) for you
MrsJ - the housework is never ending.
Hope everyone else is okay - will check back in tomorrow

A busy weekend for you 84.

IT problems at work the last couple of days which is very frustrating but such is life. I was late leaving today and called the boys and asked ds2 to walk the dog and ds1 to mow the law, both of which were done when I got home ☺.
Just ordered a steam cleaner (!!!) and a soft muzzle (Charlie gets very bitey when I'm trying to groom him) off Amazon.

Chasingsquirrels · 26/04/2018 19:43

Willow poor ds2, how is he this evening?

Willow2017 · 26/04/2018 22:14

He appears fine when i got back from work!

84 busy weekend hope she is settled at night.

Work ticking over thankfully nit too busy so my wrist wasnt falling off😀 seems to be a lot better but am dreading working 4 days on the trot.

Horsemad · 26/04/2018 22:52

Sorry to hear DS2 is poorly Willow, hope he makes a quick recovery.

MrsJonesAndMe · 27/04/2018 06:23

Morning all

Hope DS2 and your wrist are OK willow

How is the new boss now horse How is DS enjoying uni?

book you are utterly amazing with your Woolly hugs. I'm going to try something new for Annandale

Catch up later x

Horsemad · 27/04/2018 06:38

Hi MrsJ, 'spoke' to DS last night (via text) he seems to have settled back ok after his long Easter break. 🙂 I will ring him this weekend and have a proper natter.
We are hopefully popping up North next month, so will see him briefly.

New boss is ok; rather whimsical but essentially a nice person. Does tend to natter though, which I find distracting. It's hard sharing an office again 😉

Ah well, Friday again - at least time doesn't drag in my job!

Will pop in again later, have a good day y'all! 😁

Chasingsquirrels · 27/04/2018 10:35

Glad to hear he seemed better last night Willow, hope he had a good night and is okay this morning.

At least boss seems nice horse.

Well done on the squares cake.

Woke up just before 6am this morning.
Ds1 needed dropping at school at 7.45am (they normally leave at 8.15am to catch the bus) as he has a history day trip to Hampton Court.
Ds2 has an after school club and needs collecting at 5pm, then home, tea and out to judo for 6pm.
Ds1 says his trip gets back at 5.30pm, so that's going to be fun. Told him to text me when they are nearly back.

Just been asleep on the sofa for an hour! Need to sort the spare room, which is a total dumping ground, for ds1's German exchange partner who is coming next week.

Willow2017 · 27/04/2018 10:50

Morning all.
He Seems much better this morning thanks. Its half day so keeping him off in line with guidelines.
Pottering today, washing tidying up washed down fire surround exciting stuff. 😀
We counted out the change in my 'sheep' bank. £12😀 cant find my bank bags they probably fell down behind the filing cabinet due to the filing trays being full to bursting 😀 another thing on my list 'to do'.

Good to hear new boss is better than you thought hope she stays that way Horse.

Another busy day Squirrels . Good luck juggling taxi service.

bookbook · 27/04/2018 11:24

Morning all!
Just back from a stint of digging, having a quick cup of coffee , then a shower before lunch. It was supposed to rain, but it's not arrived yet.
Chasing - your DS's have such a busy time of it - you must be spinning, keeping an eye on all the logistics. Nothing worse than IT problems, so frustrating
we have a steam cleaner ....it was enthusiastically used for about ooooooh 2 months , and its been in the cupboard ever since Blush . it does work well though, just a faff.
Willow - poor DS , but hopefully he is just enjoying not having to get to school this morning. Glad to hear the wrist isn't as bad as it was , but 4 days on the trot , poor you regardless!
Horse - oh, that sounds almost promising with the new boss, maybe she is settling in now , but its hard having to listen to other peoples chat when you just want to get on .
MrsJ - thank you, but yours will be amazing too - . Did the chocolate removal help at all with DS and being picky?
Right , black clouds have really rolled in now, so an afternoon of crochet beckons
Have a lovely day everyone

Mild panic here over mot cert! Cannot find it myst have thrown it oout in error as have previous one!
Am picking up copy in mon as damm road tax due then. Went out to car to see if it was in there and spotted big black clouds over garden so grabbed washing in and hung up indoors ... needless to say they didnt rain😠
Have attacked the filing and pared it down ready to put away later and binned the rest and cleared memo board and put a million things in my diary. Have timetable for ds1 for exam weeks for extra stuff they are doing like managing money, employment skills, careers, even a marine safety course ...everything but what day exam is on 😀
Some days he doesnt have to go in at all ds2 will be happy, not😀

Dont know if i am working this afternoon or not suppose i will find out soon.

Have a relaxing afternoon Book dont know how your back isnt broken wirh all the work you do on that allotment.

MrsJonesAndMe · 27/04/2018 18:14

hello all

I've done a bit of sampling with cheap yarn as I don't want to fluff it with the expensive stuff - how much for a ball of Debbie Bliss (sorry everyone else) Shock But will probably need to lock myself away for about 2 days to make a decent dent in it. And waiting for some black wool from WH HQ.

I have beetroot, tomatoes, peas and herbs plants/seedlings that need to be planted and some seeds for rocket, lettuce leaves and nasturtiums that need sowing.

Hope you didn't have to go into work Willow and glad your boss is a bit more settled Horse DH puts his headphones in to concentrate avoid chatter Glad uni going well.

Squirrels the logistics of children makes your head spin doesn't it!?

I took DH to a Thai buffet place at lunch time and I didn't go mad on food, but I have felt so ill this afternoon as it was a lot of carbs (noodles/rice) and oily and I think my body just isn't used to it at the moment Halo Guess no tea for me!

I just don't even bother to hang washing out unless I am going to be in all day!

How are you today 84?

bookbook · 27/04/2018 18:47

Just a quick pop in -
Willow - weird isn't it, how you can't find these things , even when you have a safe place for them . I always panic looking for things like that. I am steady on the digging - a little bit every day, interspersed with other stuff. No way do I want to seize up!
MrsJ - yes! ( maybe look at the Drops Extrafine Merino at Wool Warehouse - its on offer at under £2 I think atm , though then you have to pay P&P on orders under £2) . I tend to buy a ball or two when on offer, or I have a discount code when I'm ordering other stuff . The King Cole one is nice too and not quite as expensive.)
It has rained on and off all afternoon, but have pottered in the greenhouse, ironed, and got about half way through my blanket joining . Guess what I am doing tonight? Grin
Have a lovely Friday night everyone

PS no, he's not less fussy! Though he's had apple a few times this week....

84CharingCrossRoad · 27/04/2018 19:31

I'm better today. Now at work. My lady is in bed. My mum bought my dinner a while ago.... Sleep overnight till 9.30am.

MrsJonesAndMe · 27/04/2018 21:07

Hope you both sleep well x

Willow2017 · 27/04/2018 21:49

Evening all.
mrsj it wasnt outside work but cm i meant sorry i wasnt clear. Turns out they werent there to pick up anyway😒 Hope you feel better later perhaps you are right about the carbs. I am not a fan of Thai food, too spicey for me.

Settled down with my book late afternoon and dozed off! What is going on? Must be getting old😀

Got a pile of kids uniform to iron and rest of last dried washing put away. Have had cuddles with smelly gp with ds2 this pm so scrubbed and into pjs (me not the gp😉) been watching ol Monty its very relaxing watching someone else do all the work😀 Need to think about maybe getting some tom plants for me and cucumbers for ds2. I have a long rectangle pot with alpines but would like another and he has given me a reminder....

MrsJonesAndMe · 28/04/2018 06:59

Ah, CM work.

I think DH was disappointed as most of it was mild and he likes spicy. Feeling better today. Yes, it's nice watching Monty do the work DH put on a really violent movie though so I just caught the highlights and did some online shopping Blush

book I have a steam mop and I use it a lot.

Weather looking rubbish! Anyone doing anything exciting? We don't really...

Willow2017 · 28/04/2018 07:45

Morning.
mrsj very exciting here! Swimming then straight to work!! Then there is the ironing, hold me back someone!😀😀 Hope you have a relaxing day planned.

Hope you have a good day all grey and cold here.

bookbook · 28/04/2018 08:56

Morning!
ha, really exciting here . Its not raining yet so there is the management decision on whether to hang washing out. If its not raining at 9.30 I am away to the allotment. Afternoon need to go and do a bit of shopping .
DD1's birthday was yesterday, everyone for tea tomorrow ( her choice of menu) so have a bit of prep for that - and wrap her present :)
In between , crochet and knitting .
Have a good day everyone
