Grey, mizzly day, pouring earlier. Been out for breakfast with friend, then going to a Santander 'How to Avoid Fraud' meeting. Seems very appropriate at the moment . We get a 'free gift' for going. Hmmm - any guesses? Free app? Cup of coffee?

84 - hope that CT scan goes well, and it gets sorted pronto. You must have been exhausted back and fro with bins and bikes!
I feel a bit sad that you have to make your own cake ....
Willow - ouchy for DS2 , burns are not nice, but hope its not too bad. And I hope your ouchy finger is healing okay too.
Chasing - mmm service men always seem to be late, unless you are #1 on the days list, when they then tell you they have to cancel due to an emergency or something ( bitter voice of experience)
Selena - free pen! . Berlin sounds good - just a month or two to wait :)
yep, been busy. It was not raining today!!!!!! So, I have been all morning at the allotment , forking over , barrowing manure and picking veg. Have had a quick sit down for lunch , then need to get on with ironing .Still a load of washing to put out, but I don't suppose it will dry much - I can but hope. What a glamorous life

It does seem a bit of a shame that you have to bake your own cake 84 but I have taken great delight in doing myself a M&M gravity cake one year

We've successfully got new school shoes and polos but the next size up in trousers are way too big

All jobs done, shopping and got tea for today and tomorrow and some home cured bacon at butchers has to be better than the almost see through stuff in supermarkets!
Had long coffee break and chat time with ds2 as well.

Need to book guinea pig/s in for thier hols before its too late. May have 2 by then😁

Need to juggle washing round as too damp and foggy to put out (again😠)

My books arrived so thats something for later.

Book busy as usual you must be fit as a flea all that digging and carting manure about!

Ds2 got me a birthday card for next week... its a guinea pig lying back on a sofa with a party hat and a beer in one hand "hic, hic hooray"😀 its hilarious but unfortunately i havent been in that 'condition' for a long time 😁
84 i will be baking my own cake too. Make sure yours is your favourite and go to town on it😉

Just quickly. The Santander fraud thing was really good - anyone can go, not just their customers - so would recommend if one near you. It was in library with coffee, tea, homemade biscuits provided. Yes a pen! Good handouts and fraud action card. Pack of mints. No death by PowerPoint thankfully. Covered phone, email and text fraud in about 50 minutes.

All common sense but backed up well by real events and how easy to be taken in.

Thank you. Am a little on edge as Wilf is on his way to London on his own.... He was very nervous last night...

The fact he has still gone despite his nerves is a good sign. I am sure he will be fine. Try not to worry.

Off out today - firstly to the big Saturday market and lunch, then carrying on to DD1 to (hopefully) finish sorting out the playframe for DGS, in time for the nice weather.

Its sunny! Only just but its better than nothing.😁
Have washed out the bird feeders and left to dry and run the Hoover round and put wash out ( hopeful sun will stay)
Chased ds1 into shower and ds2 cleaning up the hay mess in c.u.stairs! If he blocks hoover i will swing for him just fought with it to empty it its a pia to put back together again.

Lovely here.
Went for dog walk with a friend wearing my big winter coat - big mistake! Soon took it off, then when we were coming to the end realised that the lead had fallen out of my pocket so had to retrace our steps. Did find it though so that's good.

Just been cleaning and have taken the sofa covers off to wash. Tempted to vax the lounge carpet as well! It must be spring .

Out for a meal with a couple of friends tonight and ds2 back from his dad tomorrow tea time.

Unfortunately didn't have much solution left so had to nip out half way through, but at least that gave my arms a rest - it's like a work out.
Have to wait for it to dry a bit now before I move everything back in from the playroom - and then I'll do in there tomorrow and get the other sofa cushions washed.

Home safe and sound, playframe all done . DH and son in law did all the tough/heavy duty stuff - me and DD did the running around and fetching. And keeping DGS from trying to use it :)

Chasing - same here- wrong clothes, and it got very warm and sunny in the garden. It is amazing how a bit of sun = spring cleaning!
Selena - he survived, and hasn't had to grow gills :)

Of course it was realistic! Scientists messing with genetics to make weaponiaed animals on a space statuon. Goes wrong. The mixture ejected to earth in boxes, breaks open near a tame gorilla, a wild wolf pack and into a river. Scientist sends a sonar signal to attract said animals (after a bit lot of carnage) to try to cover her escape. The 3 stars give gorilla antidote and he helps save the day. Totally realistic. 😀 cgi was awesome, 'George' the gorrilla hilarious (signing and giving 'the middle finger to Dwaine) and JDM as gorgeous with that twinkle in his eye as possible, loved it sheer escapism.😁

Had to take kids to puzza hut cos a big box of popcorn not enough for them! Still sunny coming home amazing!

Just back from meal out at the local pub with a couple of friends, really lovely evening - lots of laughing.

Ds1 texted on Thu evening after he arrived and seemed okay, and I've heard nothing since - which either means he is fine or can't charge his phone .

Having some cuddles with Charlie before bed.
