Hope you have a good journey to MIL's cake and your visit is okay.

Oh poor ds's Willow Sad.
I've also had ds2 trying on clothes this morning, just a few old pairs of joggers which are way too small.
I did the clothes shopping with ds1 earlier in the week, soul destroying.

We've done some garden clearing, ds1 mowed the lawn and ds2 and I cleared the hen area a bit.

Hair looks nice, not sure I enjoy hair cuts - I just go for a dry cut and get it done.

Off to country park for an hour with a friend this afternoon, it's got very blowy here.

Willow2017 · 06/04/2018 13:48

Squirrels i know what you mean. Ds1 isnt remotely interested in clothes. Lives in joggers most of the year and shorts in sunmer. Thankfully he has enough still fitting for now despite taking some small stuff away. Still need to go through ds2's wardrobe as some of his joggers are creeping up his legs and tshirts getting small.😀
Country park sounds nice if its not too cold.

Boiler is currently getting the new part fitted. Good job i had to get dressed as didnt forwarn me he was coming today, me in pj.s and dressing gown, hair unbrushed, no make up is not a good look😲

bookbook · 06/04/2018 17:14

Afternoon all!
Grey and breezy here today.
Been a bit lazy, in as much as I have spent a fair bit of time trying to finish off a blanket Blush
I have done housework , and been to the shops , and the allotment though and just about to get up and sort a meal out .
Chasing - dod lying still actually work with Charlie? .Sounds like you have had a good day all round . Did the swing frame thing get picked up ? Will be interesting to see how it gets dismantled, having helped put one up ....
Willow - A boiler thats works hopefully! Always the case though - I was in my dressing gown this morning when something was deiivered , and no, its not a good look on me :)
I don't think there is a boy alive who likes having to try on clothes - I know DGS doesn't . I think spring must be affecting everyones growth spurt, DD has just bought a load for spring/summer as he has grown out of so much ( and has his favourite soft trousers ( joggers) have become so small he can't pull them on! ) .
MrsJ - hope you have a calm and easy trip to see MIL
Horse - nothing much happens here either - life rolls on .
I am out tomorrow on a day out with DD1 to a wool fair - looking forward to it. And DH is not feeling too bad it seems, and he may well be out with his hobby, so I will be able to slob relax when I get home .
Have a good evening everyone

It did book, until my need for the loo meant I had to get up! I tried going back to bed but he'd heard me and started crying so I went down.

Bin men didn't take the stuff I'd left by the bin bags from our clearing, it country park is v near to the tip so we loaded the car job and made a detour first. Also contacted a scrap metal man who posted on local Facebook group and he should be picking the metal stuff up later or tomorrow morning.

Took the slide off the climbing frame and have moved it to the front for easier collection. Looked at the swing set and decided the buyer can deal with it!

Hello all, we had an uneventful journey and things have been fine!

Have read all the posts but can only really recall clothes and boys - no they don't do they? Oh and anyone seeing me in PJs 😱

Horsemad · 07/04/2018 07:42

Morning! Looks bright outside (can sort of tell through drawn curtains!) Grin Been awakes for ages - DH snoring Hmm

Few errands this morning & footy this afternoon. Not sure what's happening tomorrow yet, no firm plans.

Have a good day all!

Chasingsquirrels · 07/04/2018 08:59

Not so bright here today.

Charlie got ds2's activity tracker off the bookshelf and chewed it in the night. 2nd one this year and his 3rd in all as he lost the first last last year, ibgot him one got Christmas which Charlie chewed and we replaced a couple of months ago.

Bit cross with myself as I noticed it on the bookshelf when I went to bed and could have moved it. Good job they are just £10 copy ones and not an actual fitbit.

Quick tea yesterday after the country park then took the boys to rollerskating, they had great fun and I chatted to friend who brought her daughter and had lots of laughs. And scrap man had taken all the metal stuff when we got home so we aren't looking like a dump any more!

Climbing frame and swing set hopefully going this morning and ds1 to archery this afternoon. It is the 150 anniversary of our village hall this year and they are having an open cream teas "do" this afternoon so ds2 and I might go to that.

Then exH picking ds1 up from Archery and collecting ds2 and they are with him for the rest of the holidays.
They are going the Centre Parcs with family next week, but ds1 is going on a school German exchange on Thursday so ex is bringing him back late Wed evening and I'm dropping him at school Thu morning on my way to work so that exH can get back to CP.

Friend I went to country park with texted me afterwards to ask if I wanted to go and see The Greatest Showman with her and her girls this week (knowing the boys aren't here), so we are going tonight and she is picking me up not long after the boys go so that's good.

bookbook · 07/04/2018 09:10

Morning all!
grey here, but just sat waiting for DD to pick me up - funnily enough I'm all ready! :)
Horse - hope the rain stays away for the footie!
Chasing - The Greatest Showman sounds fab - everyone I know who has seen it says it is great . I am just waiting for Early Man to come to the local - I'd like to see that too. Hope you have a nice weekend :) ( we once left an old rusty heavy duty roller at the front of our house -we were wondering how on earth we were going to get it to the tip, when we came home one day it had gone - we assume scrap man had come around and saved us the effort!
MrsJ - your things for Chernobyl were put on fb this morning - it all looks fabulous!
Well, off now - have a lovely weekend everyone

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/04/2018 10:32

Hello

The internet is very patchy here. Bad night's sleep and horrid to be in a house where there's not enough room for your things, things aren't kept to your standards lol I've just seen them book - thanks, am just glad they're safe!

That sounds like a good friend Squirrel and shame to hear about the "Fitbit" chew toys!

Just 24hrs and I will be on the right side of the border 😜

Have a good day all. Hope footy does well today horse x

Willow2017 · 07/04/2018 10:32

Morning all.
Was trying to be sunny first thing but now pretty dull.
Swimming first thing and went to pay garage bill. Got stuff to take to recycling centre and if weather holds clean out car! And pot up new plants of course.

Squirrels busy days for you i dont know how you keep up with it all.😁 shame about the tracker though.

Book enjoy woolfest😁 we have wool festival on at local village but dont think kids would be that interested. They do knit some amazing things and display in village and 'decorate' things in wool😁
Have jim clark weekend near us and offered to take ds2 to see the lotus race cars but not bothered. So much for our local heroes😁 but when the rally is on he is out there cheering them on!
Hope visit going well mrsj.

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/04/2018 15:14

Hanging on in there may just have dumped milk down the sink that was left out all day so we can open the fresh one I bought

Chasingsquirrels · 07/04/2018 17:01

Hope you've had a good day out book.

Your crossing out on the milk post made me laugh cake.

Did they win the football horse?

Hope the weather stayed fine for you Willow, I've been meaning to clean my car all week but haven't got round to it.

Hope @SelenaValentina is okay.

Did a bit of weeding in the front this morning but then it started raining.
Climbing frame gone, I'd taken the slide off and we just lifted it over the fence then they lifted it on to the top of their van.
Swing collector was a no show, then when I messaged him he said he had it down as 5pm (hmm well your last message to me, just above this one, says 12??). Hopefully coming tomorrow.
Nagged ds1 into packing for his German exchange as there won't be time when he gets home Wednesday night, told him I wasn't taking him to Archery until he'd packed and tidied his room!
Been taking photos of more stuff to list then ds2 and I walked Charlie and went to cream teas which was nice.
Boys now gone and friend picking me up shortly.

Got a few things planned over the next week while they are away, plus work next week and need to sort out some paperwork and admin for probate. Will be quiet in the evenings though.

SelenaValentina · 07/04/2018 17:14

Gosh, you're all so busy.

squirrels, I still have a watch with teeth marks from a dog I had 40 years' ago! Watch still goes accurately too, not that I ever wear it. Hope DS1 not going to Muenster on German exchange? Awful.
book, what exactly is a wool festival, not sure they have round here?
willow, boys, hey. Can't win when you try and enthuse them, yet they rabbit on about pc games as though the greatest thing since sliced bread Confused.
MrsJ, sounds as though you'll be glad to be home.
Oh, Horse, Muffles earplugs were a marriage saver for me. Hope footie wasn't a washout.

Horrible wet morning till about 2, then almost dry, just fine mizzle. DS waded on to lawn and carried the 2 seats on to patio, so that's done. So grey and gloomy I've no incentive to do anything other than munch Daim bars and drink coffee/hot chocolate Blush.

I ordered a balance ball (flattish, not a 'Swiss' ball). 'Start by balancing on each leg for a minute, then build up from there'.

Hmmmm, I can manage about 10 seconds on one leg, 3 or 4 on the other! Oh well, obviously a much needed purchase Grin.

bookbook · 07/04/2018 19:53

Evening a;;!
Had a lovely day out
Selena - now you have chairs on the patio, it should be sunny! Are you standing on the balance ball - sounds tricky to me ....Hmm
A wool festival is a fair designed to part you from your money (it worked) it is all different , beautiful yarns , hand dyed , and workshops and stalls selling stuff you didn't know you needed ...Grin
Chasing - sounds like a fab day - fingers crossed the swing man turns up. I bet the van looked funny with the frame on top ( hope they didn't need to go under any low bridges! )
Willow - I can't believe they didn't want to see cars Shock -I am hoping you are putting your feet up - still busy I see
Horse - not much rain here by looks, so hope you had a dry day :)
MrsJ - are you counting down the hours by any chance ? Soon be home !
Have a lovely evening everyone

Willow2017 · 07/04/2018 19:54

Evening all.
Well made some brekke after I posted and continued to read my book....and fell asleep! Woke up freezing and to rain on my washing grrr.
Rained most of day after that. So I got a cuppa and sat down with my book and read till I have finished it. (all 350 pages that were left Grin ) Just ordered the last 2 in the series, desperate to continue the story.

Suppose I should make tea but seeing as kids have been upstairs the whole day ignoring me I am in mutinous mode Grin Dont know why I bothered taking the time off work.
Still have the ironing staring at me to do later though.

Mrsj sounds erm lovely visit Wink
Horse how was the footie? Stay dry for it? Hope ds's team won.
Aquirrels where do you sell your stuff? I really should get a facebook account to try to get rid of all the stuff I have cluttering up the place. Do you use FB or gumtree or something else? Silly man there is always one isnt there? Enjoy the film.

Willow2017 · 07/04/2018 19:55

Book x posted, glad you enjoyed your day, no surprise your purse is lighter though Grin

Book I just did....a glass of wine Grin

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/04/2018 20:35

Let's just say my low (er) carbs have gone out the window.

Sounds like good days for a few but miserable weather. We had a lovely afternoon out. She's just so PA and bad at communication and moaned about having to work but owns two properties outright and flies around the world lots....

Never mind. The children love her and loved coming up to see her and their cousin.

Will catch up with you all tomorrow when home. On the upside I've done 2 squares while here Grin

84CharingCrossRoad · 07/04/2018 23:35

Just got in from a birthday dinner. It was A and my best friends birthday. He and his wife and A and I used to do things together. I was the only single one there and I felt like A should be there with me. Everyone was very nice to me...

84CharingCrossRoad · 08/04/2018 11:24

Now enroute to London for the Olivier Awards!!! V excited!! Grin

Willow2017 · 08/04/2018 14:22

Ran away with ds2 to farm park. This lamb born seconds before we got close. Dont think video of 1st steps (falls😁) will load.
Left ds2 at home with no internet bad mum. Not rewarding his selfish laziness.
Having coffee and malteser tray bake. Been round on those sit on bke/karts and walked round and fed the animals, played all the instruments in the maze and on the train. Both of us just big kids 😀

84 have a great evening😀

Hello, we are home!

(((hugs))) 84 sorry you were there without A - it must feel really odd and sad. Hope you enjoy your evening.

Wow, Willow that's amazing! We saw so many sheep while away Grin

Will come look in properly later - just sorting a roast.

Feel better after a roast and a shower! Just wish it wasn't back to work for the adults tomorrow!

Hope you're all well Selena book horse et al x
