Oooh it's going to be a long day! DD didn't get to sleep till late, I woke at 5 love being a woman and just as I thought I'd get back to sleep, DS up at 6.

I agree book I make DH a coffee each morning (and he puts up to me) Grin

Check in with you all later x

Horsemad · 15/02/2018 07:02

Ugh, I have woken up with a cold. Why do they make you feel so grotty?

Hope you have a quiet day Cake! Just rest up if you can.

Glad you enjoyed your night out Willow, I love the theatre 🙂

Hope everyone else is ok. Work for me, so will catch up later.

Willow2017 · 15/02/2018 09:00

Horse hope you feel better as day goes on.
Our local theatre is good but has such a wide variety of things on there is rarely anything i want to see (which is great for everyone who want to see other stuff of course ) One of the few drawbacks of living in the sticks is lack of theatre options😀 3hr round trip drive to go on my own to Edinburgh isnt really enticing.

Cake hope you have a quiet day.

Ds1 enjoyed Miss S but didnt cry (not so soft as he used to be😀) i was snivelling within 10 minutes (and so was the man sitting beside me😀)

Need to move, shower and shopping awaits then work.

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/02/2018 15:39

Hi, we've had a busy enough day. Boys went to swimming, DD and I watched a DVD and I did a bit of crochet/the washing etc. We had lunch and went out for some fresh air. Now just slobbing about and DH cooking!

Hope that you feel better Horse

Good luck at work Willow

Chasingsquirrels · 15/02/2018 15:52

Hope it's short lived horse.

I'm off work for the rest of the week.
Nice walk with Charlie & ds2 this morning then invited ourselves to my mum's for lunch - although we took eggs for omelettes and pancakes and brought milk and a French baton loaf on the way.
Played Rummikub and cards after lunch and the boys had a play with Charlie in their garden, which is massive.
My dad is home later from 2 weeks visiting his brother & family in South Africa, mum picking him up from the bus station shortly.

Did you and ds2 see Miss Saigon as well Willow? Wasn't sure if you were seeing the same show or at different theatres.

evening all
just finishing a cup of tea, then an evening of knitting beckons :)
Finally getting back into 'at home' mind set, caught up with most things at least!
Horse - hope the cold is over quickly - its the not being able to breathe that gets me every time - hate it so have a nice Brew

Chasingsquirrels · 15/02/2018 20:09

I took 15, we are 13 and I left the other 2 - and we have another 10 in the fridge!
3 out of 5 laying nearly every day and with the boys being at their dad's for a few days we had a glut.

Willow2017 · 15/02/2018 20:39

Evening all. Am knackered in more ways than one. Work so busy manic and only 2 of us on for about an hour! Then i went and tripped and went flying! Banged down on bad knee, hip and elbow. Got lovely bruise on elbow havent had time to check anywhere else! Aching all over now. Trust me, numpty😉

Squirrels ds1 at Edinburgh to see miss S and ds2 and i at local theatre to see live streaming of RSC doing 12th Night.
Sounds like everyone has had good days.
Book i forgot about pancakes too but i was at work any way.

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/02/2018 20:44

I'm happy to be cake, just for general posting...

We are having pancake day tomorrow Grin

Have had a message from Juan which she's asked me to pass on...

Relevant bits only - not all the waffle between us:

Juan: I think I'm going to start a thread on relationships - I'm struggling so badly leading up to the first year Sad I don't think the original thread is the right place for me to post anymore - it's moved on so much and connections have been formed (which is lovely) But I don't want to piss anyone off on thread or have them think I'm not grateful which I am. Would you explain please?

Me Do what you need to do, we won't care/be annoyed etc

Juan thanks

Keep an eye out for her post. I'm sure she'd welcome our support. It's one year on the 17th.

Check in with you all in the morning x

Chasingsquirrels · 16/02/2018 13:24

Hope you aren't aching too much today Willow x

cake, love to Juan from me. Understandable that she wants specific advice on a new thread, but she hopefully knows she'd be more than welcome here too.

Houseful of boys here last night, ds2 had a friend for a sleepover and when ds1 found out he invited a friend too. I fell asleep on the sofa (ds2 & friend in playroom on the Wii and ds2 & friend in his bedroom) for about 15 minutes then sent ds2 & friend upstairs and when to bed at 11pm, no idea what time they all went to sleep.

Pancakes for all for breakfast which was good then went for a walk with the boys and Charlie and a friend and her dog and her eldest (ds1's friend who stayed over).
Lovely morning for a walk, ds1 was throwing a branch for Charlie and I threw it into a stream and Charlie went in after it so he was a muddy mess when we got home and had to be bathed. He loved the water though.

No plans for the afternoon, lots of things I should do but can't be bothered.

OP posts:
Willow2017 · 16/02/2018 14:33

Sounds like a great night and day had by all Squirrels. Good thing Charlie likes water😀

Not too sore today thanks. Got a lovely bruise size of 50p piece on elbow😀

Nipped to pet store for guinea pig supplies and lamented with assistant how we buy them treats/sticks to chew and the still chew thier houses!
Housework day and ordered ds1's pc for his birthday its coming the day before so good timing. Cleared a million emails out my inbox. Flipping job sites keep sending me ridiculous jobs! Errr no a huge company in Norwich is not hiring in a village nearby with all of 15 houses in it!

No mindee today no idea why they were not at after school club. I suspect they went on hol at in service days and not back yet. Would have been nice to be told (yet again) so i could have made plans.

Cake completely understand Juans thinking. New thread for different situation a year later. But of course she is welcome to pop in here anytime. Send her hugs from me too.

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/02/2018 15:23

Hello all. That sounds wonderful Squirrels

Buy as always Willow

We've had a good day. Played Sylvanians with the children which prevented the normal arguments. Chinese tonight! Grin

Willow2017 · 16/02/2018 15:29

Cake now you have gone and done it! Was thinking chippy tea as the stuff in fridge hasn't defrosted yet...hmmm chinese....

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/02/2018 16:40

Busy FFS not buy as always

It's only because DS insists on celebrating anything and everything, so asked if we could have Chinese for Chinese New Year. Who am I to refuse?

Doing a spot of crochet while I have the house to myself for half an hour.

bookbook · 16/02/2018 18:06

afternoon all
been a bit busy today, and then wanted to get a square done that has been a bit of a naughty one, but finished it

please let Juan know we are all thinking of her - it is so sad that she is having such a time of it. I will look out for her thread .
Chasing - the dog we had when I was little hated being bathed - he used to go out and immediately roll in the muddiest patch he could find !
Willow - all very organised, and good to hear you have coped , though bruises take ages to come out sometimes. It just generally shakes you up I think when you fall heavily.
Cake -- nice to see crochet is taking over! Ooh Sylvanians :)
Just about to sort out a meal .
Busy day ahead tomorrow - working at the charity shop in the morning, then straight through to DD1's where we are cordially invited to lunch - conditions prevail - we are (DH, me and son in law) setting up a swing/tower/slide thing for DGS in the garden, which needs DH's DIY skills in concrete, and knowing what he is doing Grin. Goodness knows how long it will take. The car is loaded up with anything DH thinks he may need . Wish us luck!
Have a good evening !

Willow2017 · 16/02/2018 18:48

Ohhh Cake dont know whether to thank you or slap you😁😁 sitting here stuffed full of chinese food and its all your fault.

Busy as usual Book. Hope weather stays good for tomorrow and its an easy job with no surprises. (Amd no sore thumbs😉)

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/02/2018 19:25

It's addictive! (Chinese food and crochet) Just going to sew in all the loose bits.

Good luck for tomorrow.

I've sent Juan a message to say we all agree she should do what she needs to do and we'll support her there and she's very welcome back here too.

Horsemad · 17/02/2018 13:10

Hi All, just checking in, the cold didn't get worse or stop me working, so that's good☺️

Met friends for coffee & cake this morning and just relaxing this afternoon.

Hope the construction went well book 😉

Thinking of Juan and family today Flowers

MrsJonesAndMe · 17/02/2018 13:41

Well that's been a fun 18 hours!DS stuffed himself full of tea with a resulting vomiting explosion at 1;;45 am. I've spent all day washing, cleaning and tidying up.

He's fine and dandy and was up at 6 as usual Envy Shock

Hope the cold leaves you, we're all full of sniffles too Horse

Thinking of the Juan family too Sad

bookbook · 17/02/2018 14:14

Afternoon all!
well, building project has been put on hold for now - son in law has got nasty virus and it has been raining all morning , so am bumbling about sorting out a pattern for my next square.
It was sooo cold and damp this morning doing my stint at the gardening shop ( converted container, door open 3º and wet.) I was glad I had taken a blanket that I am crocheting - it worked a treat on my lap. Barely saw a soul for 2 hours
ah MrsJones - not good , you think at least he would have had a sleep in!
I have been keeping a check on the boards to see if I can catch Juans new thread, but I haven't seen it as yet, it must be so hard today for them.
Horse - worst of all worlds- a cold, but not bad enough to not work :)
Keep warm and cosy everyone

SelenaValentina · 17/02/2018 17:25

Hello to everyone, new and known. Back today from a really good holiday, eaten far too much! Very cold and lots of snow up in the Harz mountains, but mostly lots of sun and blue skies.

Will catch up on thread - seen bit about Juan, much love and hugs to her.

Willow2017 · 17/02/2018 17:48

Afternoon all.
Usual day spent an age sorting out photos on phone and pc. Now got something on ohone thats supposed to sync it with my pc but apparently i need something on my pc to do it just typical.
Ds2 has 'xmas' party tonight so getting organised for that have puzza to cook to take.
Shame about the plans book and 'shop' sounds not the best way to spend morning. Sunny here but cold now.
Selena glad the hols went well. Nice to run away and just chill😀

Cake poor ds and poor you hope you are having easy day.

Chasingsquirrels · 17/02/2018 18:31

Hope no more vomiting cake

Glad to hear the holiday went well Selena

Good luck with sorting the IT Willow

Doesn't sound a great morning book but good that you had the blanket.

Took the boys to Bletchley Park on a WAY group visit today - one of the members works there and organised group discount tickets. Boys were both enthusiastic about going and we all enjoyed it. Home via my parents to pick up Charlie as they'd collected him mid-morning and had him there for the rest of the day.
Beautiful weather here which definitely helped.
