back home safe and sound. A bit later home last night , as for some reason the luggage took forever to come through to the carousel - nearly an hours wait. Nobody would tell us what was going on. Not totally sure, but right at the end we were told it was the Border Force x raying the luggage re tip off .
DD had a lovely hot meal waiting for us though , and oh, the joy of your own bed
Washing flapping like fury on the line -(its nithering, not surprisingly ) and a quick trip to the allotment to pick veg.
Slob for the rest of the day, and the joy of a hot bath to soak in tonight ( I don't mind showers, but there is nothing quite like a bath) .
Oh it's good to be home .

We are heading home now, I always feel a bit 'flat' when we come back We had a nice time though and DS will be home in 2 wks, so not too long until we see him again.
DH is currently chuntering under his breath at various idiotic drivers...

Hope you got home OK horse We had a lot of Lance Armstrong wannabees causing grief...

We had a great if blustery day. Finished a 12" square for Woolly Hugs and will now need to start DD's hand warmers and DS's hat.

It seemed like the chat went well, but it ended in shouting about the same topic today....

Work gets weirder. The peasants are revolting today! More absolute BS from managers even between themselves! Just kept my head down and worked like a trojan as usual. Late finishing but if someone had done as much work as they did standing around complaining about what they didnt do it would have been better😀😀 doing a reverse hannibal lectar and biting my tongue nearly through😀😀 ridiculously busy but couple i havent sern in ages in and had a good chat with them when they left as it had died down by then.

Much more snow just a few miles north and at work. Frosty tonight inside car froze!

And to cap it all lens fell out reading glasses at work and couldn't find it. These glasses have been a pia since the get go.

Hugs for Squirrels there is no easy solution.

Thanks cake & willow. I think I've been putting so much into work the last few months i haven't had time for anything, and now I have again it's just hitting me.

Took Charlie for a walk and cried a few times while walking, so called friend in the next village (where I was walking) and popped round for coffee which turned in to staying for lunch.
Came home and emptied washing machine (which I need to do again now then go to bed) and went to my mum's (dad is still away, back on Thursday) for tea.

You are right cake that it isn't something anyone can help with. I've posted on the WAY site about it today, and really just getting "yep, me too" comments.
It's the lack of someone to share my life with, I can find things to do - a bit, I don't actually want to do too much, but I miss having John to come home to. And OLD firstly scares the shit out of me and secondly doesn't seem overly successful anyway.

Glasses sound a pain Willow, I currently can't see as have taken contact lenses out ☺

Just having a sit down after a busy day . Whose laundry have I brought home as well ours, I wonder ......!
Chasing - no words of advice here either, but (hugs) - its a landscape you have to navigate ,without a map .
Cake -you are cracking the crochet! - and I hope you are getting pleasure from it - I know I do :)
Willow - being a trooper as usual . Those tiny screws in glasses frames are a nightmare to find .
I just need to go and bring in the last of the washing ( bits that just need folding, not ironing) . Its been out and blowing well, if rather chilly .
Out this evening at a committee meeting, and finishing off knitting a square for a WH blanket, and hopefully get started on the next - trying to catch back up !
I have DGS from tomorrow morning for an overnighter - DD1 and son in law are having a little break away , and then everyone for tea on Wednesday when they get back , as it was DH's birthday while we were away . Need to be organised :)

Another mixed bag of a day here.
Hosp appoint went fine took another gallon of blood from me. They will let me and gp know if irs dropped enough to require treatment. 6 week follow up appoint.

Came back to town to put glasses into optician. Went fir meal out with ds2 eventually found somewhere open that wasn't a chippy! Bit pricey rhough and ds2 had the smallest bit of choc cake ever with ice cream for nearly £6!!! My 'bounty' cheesecake was lush though 😀
Put car through wash it certainly needed it.
Had a snooze earlier!
Txt from friend at work she found my lens!!!! Typical. Will have to phone opticians tomorrow to see if they have sent glasses away or not yet then go pick it up. So much for my lie in tomorrow.

Ahh the washing Book worst part of holidays. Back to doing a million things a day already😀

Hope everyone ok, have you had a nice time with your DGS book?

I am relaxing with a empty house, just me & the cat. DS1 is now abroad for 6wks, so it will be just DH & I - proper Empty Nesters... well, at least until DS2 comes home for Easter! 😁

I was too weary really for my special knitting square , managed about a third, but had to put it down , so done some crochet instead. :)
Horse - enjoy the peace - it is rather nice when they are all away!
We have had a lovely day - he has been an absolute sweetie, and we are all worn out :) Back to old times - lego, playdoh, playing games and when it stopped raining, he got out his scooter and bike and spent an hour before tea going around with DH running after him :).
Just hope he doesn't wake up too early in the morning ...
I have a beef casserole cooked and cooling for tomorrow ( making a suet pastry top for it tomorrow - DH's favourite) and DGS and I will be making cupcakes hopefully !
I think I need to be in bed sooner rather than later

More stuff to frustrate me this am. Ds1 going to theatre with school..
Last year was eve performance so presumed same. Just phoned school re what time they will get back. The leave at lunchtime its afternoon performance!!! Will be back 6.30ish. Ds2 and i going to local theatre will be gone by then! Ds1 hasnt got his keys. Luckily i gave him money this morning for snack in interval/programme if he wants one. teacher only realised last week they hadnt sent out the outside trip forms so sat in car last day of school filling it in! Never mind tell patents anything about it. Organised??????

Will have to hide keys for him so he can get in if he doesnt see ds2 to get his before they go. Oh hell i hope they drop them off at village like last time (at midnight to walk home on his own!) Arghhhh.

That's not the first time they've been disorganised is it? I remember you saying about the midnight walk after the last trip!

Quite bright here today DH & I off out for a walk soon then he'll be away to work, so a cosy Valentine's night for one here! ❤️

Nope Horse its not but thankfully he has confirmed they will drop him off. You think your Valentine's is not exciting ..i am going on a 'date' with ds2😁😁😁 although to be fair he is excellent company.

Had a snooze as didnt sleep till very late. Usual kids stuff. But got apologies and they apparently discussed stuff after my rant and are pulling up thier socks when i am working 😀 wont hold my breath😉

I'm sure you'll figure out who I am by the whinges. Though DS slept till 6:45 this morning! We've had a busy day - just sat down for the first time!

Happy V's day - not done anything here either, but DS did ask for a cake, so have done that.

I've managed 2 more squares of 6" for the Woolly hugs. Other than that, nothing to report.

Lady at work brought me some daffodils in a pot cos she knew today would be hard for me.
Actually it wasn't cos i cant remember the last time I did Valentine's day, but it was certainly pre-John, but the gift and sentiment made me cry.

Off to puppy training shortly with ds2 who is just back from his dad's, ds1 with his girlfriend for the day and comong back later.

We don't celebrate, but DS seems to love any excuse for a party or cake or craft, so we did... Enjoy puppy training. How are you is Charlie getting on?

Play was awesome. Laughed so hard in places. Ade edmonson was fab Malvolio😁 rest of cast were obviously great too specially sir andrew. Only downside was the coffee it was vile.😀
Gonna drag ds1 down to tell me about his night... be like getting blood out a stone but will try.
