I'm not a sunbather either, but it is a nice thought Smile

Willow2017 · 22/01/2018 21:25

Evening all.
Sounds lovely Book i dont sunbathe much either.

Dentist done apparently ds1 grinds his teeth, probably at night but any stressful situation will cause it. Getting a mould of his bottom teeth to wear to stop it.
Tea at morrisons was waiting fir tje enevitable pop up on phone to 'rate your visit' but never came dammit as was going to tell them the mugs were a disgrace didnt look like half of them had been washed!
Did shopping and bought another pan for new cooker.

Weirdest thing on way back. There was a car at side of road with indicators on as passef realised it was pointing into roadside and then it registered side was caved in and door half off! Couldnt turn round so went round and came back but a van and other cars were stopping. By time i got on rhe right side of the road and car was straighter on
Now i was confused and convinced there were 2 cars as the other eas def in the ditch! But the other cars had left by then obviously nobody inside the cars which was strange as no police signs around at all and lights still working inside the cars! They were def not there om way in to town. Tbh was bricking it in case i found some poor person trapped or worse with kids in car so glad they were empty. Will have to watch local news later see if its mentioned.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 23/01/2018 07:30

Gosh that is scary Willow I'm first aid trained but so scared that I will one day need to use it and just freeze! The paramedic man who did the last course of lessons said that it will kick in when it needs to... hope so!

DS had a good sleep so let's see how the day turns out.

Well done on your fast day Squirrel

Hope everyone is OK, will catch up with you later.

SelenaValentina · 23/01/2018 08:41

Morning everyone. I've 2 confused cats shut in kitchen - man coming to do some insulating of the eaves so, as indoor cats, could be bit too tempting for them to explore and then fly off the roof.

I'm off to my cousin's funeral now, she was 91 so good innings, but sad all the same. Not sure where I'm going as 30 miles away so could end up on any of your doorsteps if I take the wrong exit!

Have a good day everyone, and hope you find out about the car Willow.

Chasingsquirrels · 23/01/2018 08:48

Had some chocolate as well, but still under 600 - just had breakfast, which I don't usually have, but up at 5.30 with Charlie then dozed until 6.45.

Good that ds slept well cake.
Hope it wasn't anything serious willow.

Morning.
Looked at local news last night and online local radio but no mention of it at all. Its a mystery!

Got to phone cc and bank to block online game fandrom taking funds out get new cards today. Game site will refund the extra payments but remove a load of stuff from ds1s inventory and suspend the account for 6 months. He can still play just not trade or buy anything. He isnt happy about the losing his stiff or trading part as he trades a lot of stuff he gets free ingame but tough. We cant afford to chuck money away for the sake of a game.

Not got much planned just usual housework. Might have a snooze as late to sleep last night. Then work at 4.

If you get lost up my way you ate welcome to pop in for a cuppa Selena 😀

Oh bother!
Got a phone call from surgery, gp wants to see me about blood tests results on thursday morning! Hope its just cos I am anaemic or need folic acid of something!
Checking the blood tests she did I have had a look at my symptoms and p.i.d sticks out! Hopefully a course of antibiotics would sort that out. I have been feeling pain in the front of my pelvic area since I went to gp first time, like period pain but I dont get that now Grin
Plus the knee crunches and swelling is probably arthritis which I knew anyway was a big probability. Oh well will have to wait and see what she says.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 23/01/2018 13:49

Hi, try not to worry too much - I'm sure she will sort you out on Thursday. Luckily not too long to wait.

We've had an exciting morning. Lady and baby came. She wants to go ahead so going to sign papers and get contracts done etc. Starting one day a week in Feb! Then we went out for lunch and fed the ducks. Now a quick sit down and catch up while small is asleep and then school run etc again.

Selena I'm sorry that you're off to a funeral. Even at a ripe old age, it's still sad. Hope the kitties are OK when you get back.

The disturbed nights is a killer Squirrel Grin

SelenaValentina · 23/01/2018 19:06

Oh Willow, it's the waiting, isn't it. Brain goes berserk with the what-if's. How complex re the gaming thing though, DS1 will have to lump being unhappy. Hopefully lesson learnt?

That's good news re baby, then Cake?

Funeral went well, although Blush Blush I did compare it unfavourably to DH's Blush Blush, but so be it. Not difficult to find and I co-erced my unfavourite (back-stabbing, selfish) cousin to be lead driver from crem to church for DB and my cars (even though my sat nav would have happily got me/us there). Minute retribution for him to have to take such responsibility but it feels satisfying, not petty, and maybe a bit of payback from the Universe.

Cats quite happy, work done until the next round. Wasn't as wet as they forecast, so easy drive. All equals a good day for me. Hope for everyone?

Willow2017 · 23/01/2018 19:13

Good news on a new client Cake

Yes i am trying not to think about it
Selena. Oh computer stuff is same as last time😠

Work slow but been busier this pm plus cleaning 😀 best get on.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 23/01/2018 20:20

Yes, good news and lovely to have a girl...just crossing fingers and toes that all goes to plan.

Just about to sit with the crochet again. If it doesn't go well, I'm buying knitting needles on Thursday Grin

Horsemad · 23/01/2018 21:28

Just having a quick read and cuppa before going to bed. Smile

Hope results all ok Willow, sounds like your GP is on the ball, which can only be a good thing.

Just nagging DS1 to clear up after cooking himself something here. Grrr Angry

Carry On Crocheting Cake Grin

Willow2017 · 23/01/2018 21:47

Horse
I spend my life telling kids to clean up after them, its like banging your head off a brick wall!
Came home to bags and coats just dumped, no dishes done etc etc. Grrrrrr too.

Horsemad · 23/01/2018 22:02

It is Willow, I want to scream with the repetition of it all...

Have just stuffed my face with cheese and biscuits, so will probably be dreaming all night now, lol Grin

NotAChristmasCakePop · 24/01/2018 07:30

Very bad night here due to the high winds and stuff going through my head.

You two aren't very encouraging that DD will get better. I ask her to do stuff and "she didn't hear me" or she "forgot"

Happy Wednesday all. The crochet went well, but it's not quite finished, but looks much more square than the previous effort and I'm nearly done! Just need to get into the rhythm.

xxx

Morning all!
DH has gone out fishing
I have done my daily walk , a stiff 10 minute climb up the hill to the supermarket to get some bread and a new bottle of suntan lotion . Then back down to the little corner shop just by here to get fruit and cheese for lunch. .
So whose Lidl has a view like this :-

NotAChristmasCakePop · 24/01/2018 12:57

That sounds lovely book Our Lidl (well next town over - we're too posh for one Wink )looks out at a Homebase/Pets at home and railway line.

Just sitting down for a minute and escaping reality. Such a lot on at the moment that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. A day at a time, a task at a time etc..

Willow2017 · 24/01/2018 13:10

Book that is idyllic hope you get some fish for tea😀 our aldi only looks onto the carpark!

Cake take it easy . Grab some "me time" where you can.

Been in town for a cuppa and some shopping. Its blowing a gale outside! Wondering if i put washing out whether it will stay on line!
Parents evening this pm. Chaos as have only got 2 appoints i know of and will have to see if the other teacher has one for me. Ds1 off as unwell through night which.doesnt help. I am suspicious but if i had sent him in chances are i would have had a phone call by now from school.
Will take ds2 to lead me around😀

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2018 18:00

Book that looks lovely.

We've had hail showers on and off all day. Luckily DS managed to dodge them to and from school bus. He had loads of homework this evening and wasn't impressed as the Play Station was calling to him!

Willow2017 · 24/01/2018 18:17

Battling wirh technology tonight before parents pm.
Emails decided i needed to sign in...dont remembet last time i signed in. Tried to reset password
Wouldnt accept any other email or phone number. Microsoft did the same i just changed password 2 days ago! Now my Microsoft account only recognises ds1s email adfy so will have to redo my account settings later. I hate technology!!!!.

First stop history and good report just needs a bit more confidence to speak up and to organise his written work into better paragraphs etc. But he knows his work and surprise surprise he is actually doing homework at school and handing it in😲😲 nearly fell off my chair 😀 maths teacher no show so only English left as other teachers not here tonight. Fingers crossed.

Wind and rain and more wind all day blooming freezing outside.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 24/01/2018 20:23

Hi Jane homework sucks!

Wow willow that's good to know. Technology is such a pain Angry

Crochet going well Smile Just need to finish it off.

Have a good evening.

Horsemad · 24/01/2018 20:40

Will you put a pic of the square up Cake?

Sounds like a good Parents' Eve Willow Smile that's encouraging!

Jane - foiled by homework eh?!

A Lidl with a view indeed book! Wink Hope you are having a great time.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 24/01/2018 21:17

Yes, just need to finish it off tomorrow.

Hope you're sleeping a bit better horse I'm going to get my head down after last night's stormy night!

SelenaValentina · 24/01/2018 21:40

Reasonably good day for most, Cake, Willow (why do computers do that, do they read our confused minds and decide when to strike? Plus fingers tightly crossed that all goes well tomorrow), Horse, Jane?

And book - we are not jealous. At all.

Been lovely day here if bit breezy Grin. Put out charity bags, sky really clear - 30 mins later tremendous hail shower. Oh well, stuff reasonably well protected!
