What age were you married?

I'm struggling to process a few comments made of late regarding my (lack of) marriage/proposal.

First my mom tells me "people are always coming up to me and asking why isn't your "lovely" daughter married yet?!"

Secondly of 17 working women I am solely the only one not married or even been engaged, 3 are divorced, one a widow but at least they've had a bite of the cherry.

I'm 33.
Work full time own house and car.
Ok looking and frightfully honest.

At what age did people on here meet people or get engaged/wed?

My confidence is fractured so please be gentle 😔

36 when we met, 37 when we married.

Was the first of my group of friends to get married at 26.

In hindsight it was lunacy to even think that two individuals in the mid 20’s would want the same thing 20 years later, let alone for 50+ years.

Met when I was 19 and he was 22, married at 26 and 29

Met at 25, married at 32.

Married at 28 but we met at 20. I know lots of people who are 33 and unmarried, of course there's nothing wrong with it at all. The only issue is if you want to be, forget what your mum says!

Met at 24 & married at 27

Met my husband on a blind date and we got married 5 months later when we were both 31. Don't worry about anything- things happen when you least expect them to. Enjoy your life as it is for now.

I was 27 he was 26

15 when we met, married at 20 before DS came along.

Met at 12 & 17. Got together 19 & 24. Married at 44 & 49!

Met when I was 40, married when 44 (with a baby in between!)
