He sounds shallow and self centered enough to do that.

Its possible he came out from film and quickly fired off the ''I'm delayed'' message without bothering to read any incoming messages.

I would have ripped him a new a hole by now

No other message, if he gets back and is surprised to see me still up, etc then I'd guess he possibly hasn't, then I'll ask him to read my messages properly instead of being to busy messaging her
