Sorry, X post with your update.

Dont engage. Really dont.

You know what has been happening so now you file, end of.

Shankarankalina · 08/08/2017 23:27

He will be preparing his speech.

Which will go as follows:
You've got it all wrong.
He's going to sleep in the spare room and will talk to you tomorrow when you are calm.
How are you spy on him.
She's just a friend, and he didn't tell you because he knew you would over-react.

lazycrazyhazy · 08/08/2017 23:27

I don't know if you want to know or not but it may give you another pointless task to do, the national rail app has live train info so you can see if his train is really delayed. Will use up a few more minutes.

I'm glad he's coming home as at least you'll have some sort of resolution tonight.

another20 · 08/08/2017 23:27

Agree silence is powerful.

Play with him make him squirm - transfer the hurt for now to him.

Watch more than listen.

But remember the script. It will all be denied or minimised.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 08/08/2017 23:27

Cross posted.

That doesn't tell you much...well, except that he's supposedly on his way.

Any MN'ers confirm what Waterloo is like tonight?

Can you check online?

LilyMcClellan · 08/08/2017 23:28

Right there, ignoring the content of your text, that's a sign that he's going to try to brazen it out.

Be prepared that you are going to get at best a watered-down version of the truth, and at worst an "outraged" denial.

Stay totally calm, don't let him rile you. "That's your story? Righto then. This will be resolved tomorrrow. No, I'm done, and I'm going to bed now." Go to bed. If he comes to bed, get up silently and go to the couch.

Good luck OP. You're strong, you're informed, and you're in the right.

JamesBlonde1 · 08/08/2017 23:28

World - I can't imagine your stress. Stay calm, you're doing great.

I wonder if he overlooked the 1st message you sent and didn't read it. I've done that sometimes. Didn't even see it when he sent his message to you?!

Hesabawbag · 08/08/2017 23:29

He's a tool, has he read the texts, if phone was off they may have been delayed at his end.

Cupoteap · 08/08/2017 23:29

Surely that's easy to check?

worldupsidedown · 08/08/2017 23:29

I recon he'll get back about 11:45. I haven't replied, I do hope he saw the elephant

OP posts:
Fluerdelea · 08/08/2017 23:30

He would of read them...he's going to play dumb...the script to a tee

ChunkyPunky · 08/08/2017 23:30

Only the Portsmouth train is delayed from Waterloo...

ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/ldbboard/dep/WAT

Haribogirl · 08/08/2017 23:30

As he used the cc tonight or drawn any cash from account

MyOtherProfile · 08/08/2017 23:31

Twitter would probably say if there really are delays

Bunnyfuller · 08/08/2017 23:31

There's only one delayed train at Waterloo, is that his?

roselondoner · 08/08/2017 23:31

Everything going my way from Waterloo (Putney and beyond to the south west like Windsor/shepperton) is on time and has been for hours

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/08/2017 23:32

Waterloo departures all seem to be on time except one to Portsmouth Harbour that is delayed. But it may have been chaotic earlier and only just resolved itself.

Haribogirl · 08/08/2017 23:33

Go to live Waterloo delays
There's a list of trains departing. On time , delayed

debbs77 · 08/08/2017 23:33

Stay strong! You're awesome!

haveacupoftea · 08/08/2017 23:34

You can do this 💪🏻

worldupsidedown · 08/08/2017 23:34

I'm watching the network rail app, I think his was the 22.59, it's now at Ewell, only a 3 more stops

OP posts:
perper · 08/08/2017 23:34

Earlier trains have been delayed I think: www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/168955.aspx

Better off checking arrivals for your local station: www.nationalrail.co.uk/default.aspx (scroll down and change tab in the box to live arrivals)

ChunkyPunky · 08/08/2017 23:34

I'm guessing the train he's on departed before I searched. To check if it's running to time do a google search for 'live arrivals' for the station he'll be arriving at. If the train is delayed it will tell you and by how many minutes.

CrazyHairSister · 08/08/2017 23:34

OP I was where you were two years ago, I really feel your pain.

Stay strong and give nothing away, he will lie, minimise, make out that you are over-reacting, the works.
