do you do EVERYTHING in front of your dh/dp? no feminine mystic?

Its probably a ridiculous question but was just wondering if we are maybe a little too comfortable in front of eachother.

I do everything in front of dp - some of this is really embarrasing/ disgusting but: have a wee, squeeze a spot, scratch my bum..(why again am I sharing this?..)wear horrible Bridget Jones knickers etc... some even more disgusting but not saying. So thought is every couple like this after so long? would it not be so lovely to retain some of that feminine mystic you have at the beginning of relationship? that possible you dont seem as attractive to eachother...

I know that I may not find dp as gorgeous as I did at the beginning - when I watch him pick his nose (and not care that im looking) or when he doesnt bother to lock the bathroom door cos he doesnt care if I walk in on him having a poo...

this does'nt make me want to pounce on him...
im annoyed with myself for not keeping up the bit of mystery - Ive heard of women only wearing pretty underware in front of their men, locking bathroom door incase he comes in to see her in that unappealing position, waxing her bikini line while to be honest, I dont care if he does!!...just very comfortable around each other.

sometimes I think it would have been nice though... has anyone done this?

I lock the bathroom door when dh is in.
He however leaves everydoor open so the whole world can hear and smell him [bork].

Wouldn't change tampon or poo in front of him - bleurgh!

He chooses to do those things so I don't feel too bad!

I'd have a wee in front of him and I'd shave my legs with him in the room and have been known to pass the odd bit of wind in his comapany. however I don't poo, change sanitary towels / tampons, shave mary in front of him.

It's not that I don;t feel comforatble around him, I do, very, but I don't want to see him poo and I'm sure he has no desire to be around while I do. Some things are just better done in private.

I think giving birth in front of DP probably removed all feminine mystique. He's even seen my insides (from behind inadequate CS screen thingy)

However, I draw the line at doing a poo in front of him, or anyone for that matter. It's the only true time I have to myself!

Atm I'm on the loo for a wee practically every ten minutes so if I didn't leave the door open there'd be no conversation!

But I draw the line at a poo. For either party!

Oh dear BLK - you seem to be a bit alone so far, but I'll back you up - dh and I do pretty much everything in front of each other. I don't often squeeze spots in front of him (or not in front of him for that matter!), and I guess I try to avoid changing my mooncup in front of him, but if he walks in whilst I'm doing it then it doesn't really bother me all that much.

yes I've changed tampons in front of him - he has even taken them out himself as a prelude to sex

but he still fancies me I think, God knows how...

Back in the mists of time, on our very first weekend away in a hotel together, (must have been just after we graduated) I was having a peaceful relaxing bath after some, er, morning exertions [hem hem] when DH knocked on the bathroom door and asked if I minded if he came in and had a poo.

This kind of set the tone for our relationship, and although I still don't change tampons or deal with my bikini line in front of him and prefer to poo in private if I can, everything else is par for the course.

I do always wear nice matching underwear though .

I think this stuff about feminine mystique is complete shyte. I spent the first year of my rship with DH getting up before him every morning, brushing my teeth and putting natural make up, getting back into bed (without waking him) and then pretending to wake up a la American soap opera with minty fresh breath and glossy kissable lips!

How do you go about cutting your DCs nails if you're that grossed out?

cashncarry - I used to do exactly the same (with an X), I was with him for 2 years and he NEVER seen me without make - up. Thats why was wondering if was normal with dp.
