He seems childlike now. I cannot feel lust for a man who pees sitting down. Is that peculiar? Do your other halves do this?

OP posts:

beautiful sentiment, Pann.

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 20:26

now come and help with MrsJohnCusack's virtual sweep...

hatwoman · 05/03/2007 20:28

dh does it first thing the morning when he'a half asleep. I think it's endearing.

jeangenie · 05/03/2007 20:53

My (totally lust worthy incidentally) DH does it and it's great, no mess, no sorting out naffing toilet seats after him. Still shocks me when we have other men in the house and the buggers leave the seat up. I enormously resent having to put it down again. The worst offender is my FiL and one of these days I just know I am going to have this out with him after one too many glasses of sherry. I don't think he'll be best impressed either...

Dya think I scared her off????

DetentionGrrrl · 05/03/2007 21:34

mine wees sitting down- because his piercing makes it spray in different directions otherwise. More sensible to sit down really.

moondog · 05/03/2007 21:36

DG,oh my God that is sooooooo too much information.

(Like his penis will probably in good time.)

wotzsaname · 05/03/2007 21:40

sorry Im still snorting...loving the name.
It could be worse, he could sh*it standing up!

BandofMothers · 05/03/2007 21:42

LOL moondog. Eeuuuwww. . . . . . . . . . .

Cashncarry · 05/03/2007 21:45

I had an ex-bf that did this..

he was also a 30 year old virgin

needless to say, the rship didn't last that long

(If this is not a wind-up) unless you have other reasons to suspect your OH's masculinity, I would just be glad you don't have to endure clean-ups after stand up wees!

steinermum · 05/03/2007 21:56

Anyone see the film 'About Schmidt'
where Jack Nicholson realises he can pee standing up now his wife is dead. Maybe MTASP
nagged her dh about spraying and he's trying to please her by sitting down. Now she doesn't fancy him any more. Poor bloke can't win.

FrannyandZooey · 05/03/2007 22:03

I think the OP should start pissing standing up. That'll learn him.

Skyler · 05/03/2007 22:20

At least the seat stays down!

iyou · 06/03/2007 09:02

was feeling a bit down this morning until i logged on and saw this

pmsl

Sugarmagnolia · 06/03/2007 09:14

I didn't even know men could pee sitting down until a couple of years ago! Of course now I have a 3 1/2 year old DS I know more than I ever wanted to know about boys going to the toilet.

Also, I know DH pees standing up because we talked about it when we were toilet training DS - and DS liked to watch and report back! But otherwise I wouldnt' necessarily know what DH does in the loo. I don't like other people watching me and I don't really feel the need to watch them. Probably because my mum never learned to close a toilet door until I was about 16 and I think she scarred me for life.

expatinscotland · 06/03/2007 09:17

I'm still laughing!

So's DH, my BIL, friends, etc.

Flossam · 06/03/2007 09:29

I had an ex boyfriend once who pee'd standing up apart from after sex which apparently would put his aim right off - so he'd sit down!

losty · 06/03/2007 09:40

not read all the thread - but this isnt serious is it? I mean, come on

expatinscotland · 06/03/2007 09:42

Flossam, why couldn't he wait a few minutes until his willy went down a bit?

DetentionGrrrl · 06/03/2007 10:48

i agree- surely the seat is designed for that very purpose?

handlemecarefully · 06/03/2007 10:55

I'd like to be open minded and intellectualise my response to the issue posed by the OP, but I have to agree with her - that for no rational reason whatsoever I would feel surprised and a small element of disquiet if it turns out that dh pees sitting down (I happen to know he doesn't).

Wouldn't loose sleep over it, but would have a a gut feeling 'recoil' moment

Skyler · 06/03/2007 11:07

Because if men forget they just pee on the seat but if women forget they sit on the COLD porcelain bit and fall down into the loo. Not to mention it looks HORRIBLE with the seat up. I prefer the whole thing shut tbh but we don't in case dd1 is in a hurry. Actually the dd's are the main reason I nag dh to put the seat down now. I don't want them to have to do it and touch it / drop it etc.

clumsymum · 06/03/2007 11:12

This is the funniest thread I have ever seen in 4 years of MNing.

I have to bookmark this to show it to DH when he's home at the weekend.

Actually I've just remembered him telling me about a friend of his who couldn't use the gents in a pub or somewhere if there was any one else in there. He had to wait until the room was empty.
