Sort the tax return out this weekend.
Housing on Monday.

GarlicBake · 22/01/2016 22:52

Yes, you're right! All you need to do is make some phone calls and visits as goddess said.

Weekend ahead. Catch up on your sleep, go for some walks outdoors, phone a friend, eat healthy. Feel good for the week ahead :)

Read my earlier posts.
Find out when your mother registered you as self employed from
If it's on or after 6 April 2015 your tax return is not due until 31 January 2017 (at the latest).
If it's before then you need to get your income and expenses together and do your return by 31 January this year.

To be honest, you know your mother has registered you, you have hours when she isn't there, and access to a phone. You need to take control of this because if she messes up or gets it wrong, you could be liable. Either tell the tax office she's committing fraud by doing this, or help her get it done.

GarlicBake,i love sleeping much,i am a lazy person SadThanks

Don't worry about HMRC as they're least of your problems.

Let your mother carry on dealing with it and if she wants you to sign anything write 'signed on instruction from my mother' underneath the place where you sign your name before adding your signature.

SouthWestmom · 22/01/2016 23:17

Goddess I will assume your tax practice is more recent than mine, if that's your advice. I now only do friends and family.

Op, I think what everyone is saying is that you need to do something, as there is only so much that online support can do.

panele01 · 22/01/2016 23:19

Noeuf,ok,i believe she registered me as Self-Employed before 2015 April 06,i know that because this Self-Employment was done before,i remember that,i won't remember the details,in my CV says the years =====> when did i do private houses cleaning? When did i start working as Self-Employed? It says,it was done From 2008 to 2011

GarlicBake,i love sleeping much,i am a lazy person

^ This is your problem and you need to think on the fact that you've spent a lot of time posting here but, with the exception of calling your doctor once in the 3 weeks since you started this thread, you haven't found time to make any phone calls to places you need to speak to or pay any visits to places you need to go to.

If you weren't pregnant it wouldn't matter but you've only got 16-17 weeks, if that, left before you give birth. Even if the council offer you accomodation next week, you'll have to find out what benefits you can claim and buy the essential equipment and clothing you'll need to care for a newborn. If you're allocated an unfurnished property, you'll also have to furnish it which will mean having to buy a bed and bedding, a cooker and fridge, cooking utensils/'kettle, a table and a couple of chairs, so that you'll have the bare minimum needed to live in it.

Time is flying by and it's time for you to start getting ahead of it before it gets too late.

panele01 · 22/01/2016 23:45

goddessofsmallthings, yes, this is very serious,i understand,i don't wanna be a horrible mother and leave my baby with nothing

goddessofsmallthings and everyone, can we talk more tomorrow? Thanks

goddessofsmallthings · 22/01/2016 23:59

A bookkeeper and an accountant sort my tax returns, but I do understand your concern that panele doesn't get into difficulties with HMRC,Nouef.

However, it seems to me that not only is HMRC the least of panele's problems at the moment but it's also beyond her current capability to get her brain round tax matters and I'm anxious that she doesn't get overstressed.

Adding a disclaimer of sorts to her signature will at least provide opportunity for any future advisor to argue the toss if her dm cocks it up get it spectacularly wrong, but the chances are she'll get it right and the form will be returned in time to avoid any penalty.

A bigger issue may be that of claiming benefits when self-employed and whether panele's self employed NI contributions are up to date, but this may simply be me over thinking ahead.

panele01 · 23/01/2016 00:04

goddessofsmallthings,i think Nouef is a sleep, offline,i said goodbye earlier to her/himThanks

Correction: Noeuf

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 23/01/2016 00:12

Yes to the last paragraph.

I'm not going to comment on completing the tax return based on the new information that this is on going self employment, and the existing language barrier.

I had thought this might be an easy one to tick off the list while everything else was shut.

And I would always suggest professional advice as per my previous posts.

SouthWestmom · 23/01/2016 00:13

Night again panele!
