MOST AFFAIRS ARE WOMENS OWN FAULT!? WOULD YOU AGREE?

I think that most men have affairs because something is missing at home,

if a womans a great cook in the kitchen, a shoulder to cry on, a whore in the bedroom, then there shouldnt be too much of a problem!

i really do think this is the case, and will probably get slated for thinking so,

but this morning on 'loose women' they were all laughing about how they all faked headaches and say they're too tired to avoid sex, and how they only do it once a month and think of england!!
well no wonder men go looking for sex if its being denied it at home??

i always try my best to look good for my DP, and cook nice meals, and we have sex most nights (and i have 2 babies under 2)

just a thought!

Bless you Kitty, you are very young and not very wise about the world beyond your own direct experience. I've been with dh since the age of 19 and our relationship has definitely changed as we've both grown up. We aren't the same people that we were all those years ago - you don't stop learning or developing just because you reach the age of 18 and officially become an adult. I hope you are right about your relationship but try not to use what you have right now as a yardstick to judge the world by. It's a much messier, more complicated place than that.

im hoping to go to MMU to study midwifery, - wont be for a few years yet, DS2 is only 5 months

my OP was a bit of a wind up really to get the convo going

Because I could fast forward you 20 years, still hear the same thing from you, and then a year down the line it's all gone tits up.
I've listened to somebody since I was young telling me that their relationship is solid, that they've never been with anybody but their partner, and never would be. And then it's all come out to prove that is not the case.
I'm glad you're happy. But I get offended when things are "pinned" as the womans "fault".

hunkermunker · 17/11/2006 21:19

Oh, and Buktus - just to point out that kittylette actually made age the issue first to me - she called me a fat old woman (right on just the one count there, I'm afraid, Kitty).

kittylette · 17/11/2006 21:21

i know i cant predict the future & anything can gappen,

i just dont want to throw in the towel now in fear of something happening 15 years down the line,

kittylette · 17/11/2006 21:22

OP posts:
longwaytogo · 17/11/2006 21:25

I really didn't think my dh would cheat but he did, and I do agree you live for what you have now, your work on it, build on it but never ever take it fro granted.

hunkermunker · 17/11/2006 21:26

When you're grown up, you'll be funny as well, Kitty

kittylette · 17/11/2006 21:26

never been particularly confrontational either - till I had my son , now I'm amazed what I'll do to protect him.

One day he's going to find me as embarressing as I found my mum when she got started. hey ho

No-one is suggesting you throw your relationship away now just that you cannot predict the future, enjoy what you have and I truly hope you never experience the pain of an affair.

edam- you put it perfectly

kittylette · 17/11/2006 21:33

my gosh i know about that!

i actully stood up to a nutty woman who nearly ran us over (twice in 30 seconds!) a few weeks ago cause my son was with me, turns out she was a nutty druggy, and hit me in the face!

a lesson learned!

because he works with his mum and she wouldnt keep secrets for him, and we only go out together

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 17/11/2006 21:39

how you "keep" him?

Its not about "keeping" them.

What excuse should women have for having affairs then? Because their husband doesnt buy them nice enough things? His wallet isnt big enough?

I think its lovely that you have such a great relationship right now with your fiance. But things do change. And as patronised as you feel, there is a certain wisdom that comes with age, and you wont understand or know what I mean until you get there.

Fio - am ROFL at ALL of your posts on here

kittylette · 17/11/2006 21:40

kama, i dont think i would leave if he did cheat on me, not that that means hes got the green light,

id be devestated, but i really dont think he would
