Still finding it hard to move on......

Hello everyone, this is a continuation of my previous thread, so a big welcome to everyone who participated on that one, and hello to anyone new who would like to join in this one.

A little recap of my story, my husband of 27 years left four months ago for another woman that I considered a friend. We live in a small village, and he has moved in with her and her son around the corner from the family home.

I have two sons at home with me, they are 23 and 19, the youngest has Asperger's syndrome and dyspraxia.

I am having counselling to help me get over the massive shock of his betrayal, for months I couldn't sleep or eat very much and started to suffer panic attacks and anxiety.

At the moment I am at the nisi stage of our divorce, I have petitioned for unreasonable behaviour. I am now trying to get the best settlement I can before I apply for the absolute. Needless to say, he is trying not to provide any provision for my youngest son, and has put forward a 50/50 proposal for division of the assets.

So, let's carry on ladies shall we?

I must admit some of the English team were quite easy on the eye, but I felt traitorous for even thinking that, as the bastards beat us. I will take your recommendation and watch the scots in action, hope there's plenty of sweaty thigh action!

Nah, Hobs .. don't be going down the English road. Nancy boys the lot of 'em.
Wink

Don't be swayed by a bit of Anglo Saxon Eye Candy.

They should be winning the fucking rugby let's face it. 60 milliion odd of them and just 2.5 million of us and we still put the fear of God up 'em.

I like ruggers because of the game the thighs but when the old camera goes down the line when they are singing the anthems ... I must admit, some of them bonnie Scots definitely made this old heart beat faster.

Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 01:01

I can see what you mean Font, I am going to have to keep a very close eye on them. We didn't include you in with the rugger Nancy's drifting, you are a prince among men, tee Hee , xx

Where's everyone else tonight?

Especially Iwas.

There's not a day goes by (and trust me .. I'm dealing with some awful things at the moment) that I don't check her presence on this forum

Sad

Hobbit - bombshell came , I rebuffed solicitor has lodged, I don't know next steps , letting it run course. I want to stay in house so I would like quick resolve.

Cream soda no ! Red wine yes , having a pleasant evening dog to vet first thing, he getting old, ( dog not me I am only ** ) cannot give too many clues away .

You know I never thought when she left I could be happy but I am , a little, the nights are getting brighter and I am thinking this isn't that bad because everyone knows she has done the leaving, so when I meet people , it is so like " closer ". Having a pet of course makes me get out - yes I cannot give away everything all at once because that would be stupid. If someone is watching even worse.

Hope everyone is good when you read this, look forward to seeing you all in two years when we are all done & dusted. Maybe meet up at Millenium Stadium for a " thigh " high party ! Ooooh that was awful. But sort of rugby related.

drifting2015 · 07/02/2015 01:33

BTW heard nothing else this week that gives me any reason to stop my divorce. So onwards we go, Saturday chores , vets , walking, tidying, pub , perhaps a drink or two , then fire on , dog on sofa, MN , Rioja ( no cream soda ) & before you know it another day away from LCB .

x.

Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 01:35

I'm glad you're ok, drifting, sorry about the dog, mine is 10, would be devestated if anything happened to her. 2 years? I hope not that long, xx

Fuckity fuck! We won, at the Millennium stadium, to the Welsh. Yey! Grin

WellWhoKnew · 07/02/2015 04:38

Drifting I live in Wales. Them Welsh are lovely people, really, truly. All my village are Welsh - and they be utterly brilliant. They've got culture and everything. They got a language as well that they kindly let me bastardise...

There are days when I hunker down to survive divorce. There are also days I hunker down to survive being dumped in Wales...

Today is one of those days Grin.

Izzie595 · 07/02/2015 05:34

Hobbit, Font......ENGLAND THRASHES WALE'S

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes

didn't know they were playing actually

PS Those good looking males in WALE'S, do they have woolly coats by any chance? goes off to find another thread to live on

Izzie595 · 07/02/2015 05:39

Talking of male turn ons.....a Scottish accent, halfway there. A suit, halfway there.

A chef....anytime!

Izzie595 · 07/02/2015 07:47

I wonder if there are any issues in yourself that you haven't dealt with, that you may supress, that you distract yourself by trying to fix other people's issues?

Picked this up on another thread. Food for thought about my ex

Fontella · 07/02/2015 08:29

I've got the 'wine' mouth this morning.

Not a proper hangover - I didn't drink enough for that, but just the fuzzy, morning after thirst.

I could just go an ice cold cream soda!

Confused
Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 08:55

How very dare you, we nearly won:( ( I need a bitter and twisted emoticon)
Pah! And what's with that spelling of Wales, Izzie, ? Haven't I suffered enough? Heartless trolls:(
Tee Hee, never mind it's only a game( don't hoik up your judgey pants Font) I'm tired this morning, didn't sleep well, another email from fuckface and although it was quite nice actually, still unsettled me.

Was a bit condescending and 'oh I'll talk you through the financials so you understand them' arsey way.
I do understand them you twat, I understand you are trying to give me as little as possible. But I won't react, just stay calm and bide my time. He has agreed to go to mediation so that's good.
Sandpaper and the bottom of a birdcage describe my mouth this morning, Font

Yes, it is only a game .. but one, we, little tiny Wales are rather good at!

Shame things apparently went wrong yesterday (still don't know the score) - normally I would be watching and debating and arguing the merits and so on, but I've just got too much other 'stuff' going on right now and occupying my thoughts, hence me spending time on this thread late at night, and indeed drinking alcohol in an effort to distract - something I try not to do as I prefer being teetotal.

But with everything going on at the moment I need something and it would either be me going down the doctor's, or having a couple of glasses of wine .. so it's the latter for the time being.

This is one of those times in life when 'events' just overtake. The world keeps on moving, the wheel of fortune keeps on turning and you are powerless to do anything about it - steer, change, control or stop it. You just have to ride it as best you can and hopefully come out of the other side.

Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 09:41

Life has a habit of turning round and biting you on the arse sometimes doesn't it? Shit happens as the saying goes, just wish shit didn't happen to good people.
I hope you are able to steer your way through without falling off too many times, Font, a glass of wine or three didn't hurt anyone( not for breakfast though, that would be a slippery slope)

Izzie, the men do not have woolly backs, ( well apart from the more hirsute among them)
A tall, dark, broad shouldered Celt, I'm thinking Steve Jones mind, not Shakin' Stevens, you can't beat em'!
My stbx was half English, that must have been where he got his propensity for being a twat.
Is Richard Armitage Welsh? I luffs him :)
I don't think he is actually , might have to rethink.
Off gallivanting again today, see you lovely people( and Izzie) later......

Charmed, I'm sure!

Actually you can claim the rugby victory if you want. I've only seen one rugby game, that was when Johnny/Jonny/Johnnie Wilkinson kicked the ball over that post and the Ingerlish won something important, I actually don't know what it was!

I asked my sons who was the 6th nation today.....

Tasty Men from Wale's.....Uncle Bryn?? From lush Barry Island.

Actually Ryan Giggs was alright in his day. Erm yes, and look what transpired about him......

Actually, on the basis of if you can't beat 'em join 'em, I would like to be known as IzzieMwfanwy.

Bore da, dw i ddim yn deal Cymraeg.

Computers and languages, we are getting intelligent on here. Sadly can't educate with mine as it would give away where I live!

My daughter likes the rugby so sort of watched it with her although I don't understand most of it! Apparently I fell asleep on the sofa afterwards and woke up about 2.30 with my duvet over me and a happy dog. Think lack of sleep the last couple of nights caught up with me!

Font I hope you are feeling okay. That is one thing I have learnt is that whatever horrors go in someone's life everything and everyone else just carries on as normal and it feels like it shouldn't sometimes. I hope your mum is okay. Flowers

Mother WWK pleased your meeting with SHL went well. When it is finally over you won't know what to do with yourself! I haven't had to try to assemble flat pack furniture in years as my husband used to love doing that strange man I hope you are enjoying your work of art.

Green thank you so much for your PMs. Just catching up with threads at the moment as my son is over so will probably reply to PMs tomorrow. Pleased you got out and about in your diamonds yesterday. Sorry even watching a film if proving problematic at the moment because of him, hope you get it fixed soon.

Tabby so pleased your court hearing went well. You must be relieved that bit is over with, hope you had a good sleep last night. I think it's best if I give up trying to work out what is going on in my husband's head these days!

Family hope you are okay. I think we would probably all give out different advice than what we end up doing ourselves! Emotions tend to take over unfortunately.

Izzie wow the car! Well done. When are you getting it? Pleased you feel you have made a bit of progress regards your feelings when he left. It is easier when it is civil but as you say it can and does lead to mixed feelings as well. I don't think looking back is helpful sometimes as it leads to regrets and things weren't as they seemed not in my case anyway. Great you are feeling emotionally good, that is one of the hardest things. As you were taken with the car salesman does this mean you are not so keen on my husband now?!! One of my friends mentioned to me as she knows how much I like Easter Eggs that her local shop were selling them. None in any of the shops I normally go to. I honestly haven't been making special trips to that shop to get them!!

Hobbit yes they certainly deserve our anger. So many words one can think of to describe them all and not one of them complimentary. A friend of a friend's husband is really into cycling and he weighs his breakfast cereal every morning!!! Hope you enjoyed the gym, I am actually giving serious thought to buying an exercise bike!

Drifting my husband would be aghast if I called him English so I have no problems with English men so I am still friends with you! I hope your dog is okay, they are great company. Mine sleeps on my bed now, I find he makes the bed seem less empty and it's nice to have him with me. He wasn't allowed on the bed before.

iwashappy · 07/02/2015 13:19

Prynhawn da even, it was morning when I wrote it!

TheFormidableMrsC · 07/02/2015 14:13

Drifting, you sound like my ideal man. I'll marry you :-)

Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 14:34

Oi! Form an orderly queue, MrsC, you don't get first dibs on our token gent, oh wait though, he IS English, soz Drifting, if only you were a Scot ;(

OP posts:
Hobbitwife001 · 07/02/2015 14:39

Yes, my dog is now allowed on the bed, and some mornings I find her actually in the bed, her head on the pillow next to mine:)
She is also very protective of me and growls when anyone comes near me, unless she knows them, which could prove to be a problem if I ever wanted to have another fella in my life. Can't see me wanting that at the moment but you should never say never!
