Morning all. Well, I just survived Spanna, IKEA is monstrous. I can't begin to tell you the catalogue of customer service failures, confusion, frustration and disaster. I finally ordered something which I hope will be a wardrobe set, desk and chair for dd but christ knows what will arrive later. And one bit of the wardrobe is out of stock so have to send wb back for it on Friday. D'aaargh. Did have one amusing moment though as I stood at the delivery desk. The bloke asked 'are there any complications to your property - narrow steps, guard dogs and so on?' I said, 'Well, my husband is very grumpy' and the woman behind me in the queue burst out laughing. I have been assured they don't charge extra for that though. Probably don't want to add insult to injury!
My plans for today are cancelled due to weather (and wimpy friend I have to say - I go out in blizzards, but maybe I have more of a vested interest in leaving the house) so am having a lie in then going to help dd sort her room and then go out to lovely friend's house for a brew.
Organised sleepovers for dd tonight and tomorrow and went to tell WB the details and he just rolled his eyes and said 'I'm WORKING' - even though the sleepover on Tuesday night / Weds is for his benefit as I am out with ds Tuesday PM and working Wednesday. So I am going to send him an email with the details on in a minute (he is in the next room, haha) Twunt.
After my trauma induced not eating last week I lost 4lb and have put them all back on this morning due to birthday cake eating festival. Am toying with doing Slimming World. I prefer low carb eating but the thing with that is that it is so unforgiving - if you eat one carby thing you have blown it. (was on a support thread here, and they were wonderful cheerleaders but so strict about cheating that I was too scared to post in the end! Not criticising them at all, I liked them all but it made me feel even more of a failure if I had so much as a ryvita!)
Did SW when dd was born and lost about 21lb over five months (then went off it at Xmas as there weren't enough syns in the world for my red wine). I thought I could avoid the processed crap like mugshots and do mainly original days which are lower carb, then if I do have the odd bit of birthday cake or something I can syn it so that I won't have blown it, and won't press the f*ck it button and binge for a week before starting again on a Monday. Like I do with wine. D'aaaagh
Also am going to start the SMART programme tonight. Think my issues are deeper than the day to day and am going to work through them. It is you lot that have given me the strength to do this, so a million, million thank yous.

Anne you are doing so well - congratulations, and also can you come and help me with my housework? I find I barely care at all about housework. The hoover broke last week and I've still not done anything about replacing it
Wry I have an image of you now as a lovely outdoorsy lady in a barbour jacket and hunter wellies, touring county shows with the labs. I would have loved that lifestyle I think. Stuck in the city, me.
Baby how are you my lovely?
Spanna hope your friend is OK today - I am sure your support means the world to her. And am driving myself mad wondering who your DJ is!!! So impressed you were a record buyer, you literally rock! (now imaging you as Suzi Quatro in leather gear! And no, I am not implying that either of us is that old... I was about 6 when she was popular, and really wanted leather trousers but they didn't make them to fit 6 year olds and my mum would have vetoed them if they had!)
Guggs, how is the family visit going??? Please buy them non-alcoholic wine as someone suggested up-thread. Just for the comedy value. Please!!!!
Sobersoc, Mouse, Joey, Marfisa, Littlewhite and anyone I have inadvertently missed (typing faster and faster now as laptop about to run out of charge!!!) - big hugs to you all and Happy Monday.
