Yes Dont we want gory details!

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 10:06

Well, we went for pizza and a drink after. Then he came home with me and met my brother who was babysitting. We kissed a lot and had amazing sex. Then we had a long post coital conversation about how we both believe there are aliens in other galaxies (yes, honestly!) but we don't believe in God. He was explaining to me how the world was actually created and how the first lifeforms didn't breathe oxygen. Or something. Then he said I've got a question for you, would you like me to stay?' Of course I said yes. We didn't want to get out of bed this morning.

Poffedoff · 20/11/2013 10:09

Good morning all..

Stupid...Grinyou must be walking on air, so happy for you. How did the kids react to you guys being back together?

Sounds like things are still rosy in the garden for you too Dontcallme Grin

As suspected pof guy had left his phone on the bus the other night... finally got a message to me the next night, just before I started calling local hospitals!
Any news from your potential date tonight Super?

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 10:14

Glad you got a message poffed.

so exciting - stupidhead!

Stupidhead · 20/11/2013 11:14

Aww thanks! The kids are so happy! My 16 yr old worships him and he stayed in touch with him and took him out for burgers and that. He's still beating himself up about the split though, ecstatic about us but in turmoil over the time apart. We've had long looooong talks about everything which has helped. It's all good :)

superdooperpenguin · 20/11/2013 11:29

There is a feel good vibe on the thread this morning, yay!

Date got in touch, he actually seems giddy with excitement about this eve! It's nice but I'm a little nervous now that I won't be able to live up to the hype! We've been texting lots and he seems friendly enough so hopefully it won't be a disaster. I'm not particularly excited, been at this first date stage so many times now I'm already wondering how many dates it will take for one of us to fluff it all up!

Poffe - glad he got in touch at last! And glad he's ok!

ladygoingGaga · 20/11/2013 12:29

Feeling excited for you dont and stupidhead Grin fab news all round the thread.
supermarket man text me this morning just wishing me luck for interview I have in an hour eeekk!
would have been nice if he had phoned though.

Poffedoff · 20/11/2013 13:43

Gaga hope the interview went well... It's been years since I did one myself but can still remember the utter fear!

Poffedoff · 20/11/2013 13:45

Have a lovely time tonight Super... maybe some of his enthusiasm will rub off on you when you meet Smile

ladygoingGaga · 20/11/2013 18:25

Well that was an utter disaster, cried all the way home from work, fucked up the interview.
Supermarket man has not text, and I can't be arsed to text him to tell him it went terribly, what to stick my head in the sand oven

Poffedoff · 20/11/2013 18:32

Ah Gaga Hmm... Are you sure it was a disaster? Often these things seem to have gone worse than they actually did.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 20/11/2013 19:12

Hello! It's date 7 tonight. Things are still going well with gap yah no complaints really except, frankly, sexual frustration.
I must read the thread and catch up now Grin

OP posts:
superdooperpenguin · 20/11/2013 19:35

Gaga - big hugs - maybe it wasn't as bad as you fear? Have a big glass of wine and chocolate biscuits!

Queen - don't get me started on sexual frustration, that was the only good bit about the detective!

So I'm off on date very shortly. Just checked his profile again and he's updated pics....I'm not attracted to him at all! Bugger, bugger, bugger! Can't get out of date now, will have to go along and hope he has an amazing personality!!! I shouldn't be so fickle I know...

ladygoingGaga · 20/11/2013 19:48

Good luck super get a friend to ring you after half an hour... I know its old but it works Grin

Hopefully it will improve tonight queen and there is fireworks in that department

When you walk out of an interview wanting to cry I think you pretty much know. Oh well

girliefriend · 20/11/2013 19:48

Am going on a second date tonight, I feel more nervous than I was for the first one!!!

Please wish me luck ladies!!

JustALittleGreen · 20/11/2013 20:02

Good luck, girlie!

gaga, have some Wine, Cake and Flowers I bet it went better than you think :)

super maybe they're just awful pics? Hope he has a sparkling wit that keeps you entertained at least!

Argh why do people read messages but not reply for a day?! So annoying! I don't reply straight away but at least don't read it so they'll think I'm far to busy to hang about on dating websites all day! Waiting on a message from Mr Jam, think he is interested but maybe playing it cool? He checks my profile all the time though, good sign? Would like to meet in person, do I ask him or wait for him to ask me?

TwoDays · 20/11/2013 20:07

Wait for him to ask Just, I'd say.

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 20:19

I'd normally wait for a man to ask me out, just but then, I got fed up with waiting for geeky to ask me on our first date - so I asked him. And that worked out OK (so far!)

Good luck girlie and don't forget to update us!

Hope it went beeter than you thought Gaga and have lots of Wine

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 20:24

Obviously that should say better

JustALittleGreen · 20/11/2013 20:33

I'll leave it for a while. He might not even message again :-/

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 20:35

The thing I noticed about geeky that made me ask him out was that if I messaged him, he'd message back very very quickly. So that was a clue I guess.

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 20:37

Some people are cooler though. Geeky is, well, a bit geeky - so he's no good at playing it cool.

dontcallmehon · 20/11/2013 20:38

Oh my God, I've just realised I've got mentionitis. I'll stop now Blush

JustALittleGreen · 20/11/2013 20:52

Hahaha!

ladygoingGaga · 20/11/2013 22:07

dont mentionitis is a known side effect of being smitten Grin

Good luck girl loo update required!

Supermarket man has redeemed himself slightly, been lovely and supportive and has insisted he takes me out Sunday to a nice restaurant, his treat Smile
