WFF how did you leave it yesterday? Maybe tomorrow morning or later tonight you could send a "soft sell" text?

"was lovely chatting to you on Sunday, please do feel free to give me a shout if you fancy catching up again"

Then you know you've actually expressed an interest and can do no more (don't mention MY oven Blush)

So...I've had a reply...smileys and kisses thanking me for a lovely afternoon. No mention of meeting up again (yet?).

Ah well, it was nice.

Wish I hadn't posted this now...Sad

It was a nice afternoon.

WFF goes back to the oven.

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 19:19

Yes, Wine I read the Italian architects text a few times (ride, hmmm, double entendre maybe? Wink) no, he just really did want to go on a bike ride.

Hmm

And Dr Pashing, the heroic doctor who conducts examinations of ladies in the street, hasn't texted yet, made a loose arrangement to meet tomorrow though?

Might leave it, I dunno.

grinchie · 19/08/2013 19:24

Lorna Malcolm Tucker isn't my thing but Jeremy Paxman on the other hand......

And he has been recently bearded Grin

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 19:25

Nora you are like Charlie Bucket and someone will come along soon and give you the whole damn chocolate factory.

WFF that is really good! Excellent stuff.

kittykat10 · 19/08/2013 19:47

I'm not work working at mo which he knows he even knew before family so bit concerned about dating tho . He was nice enough to travel to me but I can't expect him to keep doing that tho , if I was working I'd pay my way so now concernd

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 19:52

kitty hi! Smile

are you saying your ex you've seen on pof used to travel out to see you?

i feel you there, its always a bit difficult when you've got different budgets and doing long distance...

OP posts:
KinNora · 19/08/2013 19:53

Fortunately, OWW at least I'm not sharing a bed with 4 octogenarians.

AWarmFuzzyFuture · 19/08/2013 19:56

He just texted to say that his (grown up) children and grandchildren spotted us kissing Blush

kittykat10 · 19/08/2013 19:58

No I always used to go to my ex it was only next town but now money very tight I have a budget of 5 pound a week for petrol I have been thinking today n I can't afford to date but like this bloke

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 20:02

WFF Grin

kittykat I wouldn't let it stop you, just go for cheaper stuff (a lot of guys are a bit funny about paying for the first few dates anyway Smile) I probably haven't been able to afford to date for the last 3 years - it's a bit weird sitting there with someone who can afford to go out loads, take holidays --buy a house casually without even having seen it - and I'm skipping taking the bus to save money. But you can't let it stop you doing things? If the guy is a good guy he'll understand.

Djangounhinged · 19/08/2013 20:03

Paxman? Blush

WFF I feel for you with your impatience, I am the same! All sounding good so far though SmileSmile

kittykat10 · 19/08/2013 20:10

I'm living on charity so feel guilty if I go out

Flojobunny · 19/08/2013 20:21

Joined okC and can't keep up with the messages! This didnt happen on POF, put a different pic up, clearly its better!

Flojobunny · 19/08/2013 20:22

Oops that's way too many exclamations, can you tell I'm a giddy kipper Grin

grinchie · 19/08/2013 20:28

Yes, Paxman that man is meeeeeeean Wink

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 20:28

kitty i've pretty much always worked (apart from when married, ex pays everything kid related).

i'm more than happy for my taxes to go on benefits - it's not "charity", its the way the system works and if i was in between work i wouldn't feel embarrassed about signing on. of course you should be dating and having a life, please stop feeling guilty about going out.

the only thing i think about people out of work is i remember to buy all the drinks in if we're on a night out Smile

my friends have the same point of view, the shit that's in the daily mail saying you shouldn't have a life if you're poor is just shit and no-one decent or worth knowing believes it.

don't judge yourself or feel guilty is what i'm saying.

OP posts:
OhWesternWind · 19/08/2013 20:31

Kitty there's loads of cheap/free stuff especially in the summer - walks, picnic, free festivals, food festivals, markets/window shopping/mooching, galleries, quick coffee/drink - it's definitely doable.

Good stuff Flo - I got very poor results on OkC but I know loads of people on here have good results.

lurkinglorna · 19/08/2013 20:35

go FloJo Grin
