Morning all.

Talking of Toast Toppers, he took 2 tins of that as well. Yes, really.

My pantry is now full of Heinz cheese ravioli and Tesco sausage and beans.

Kudos to your mum for shooting a rocket up the GPs, that's a good outcome. Glad I found your new (calmer) thread. Still rooting for you here Smile

pennylovesleonard · 22/08/2012 11:33

Morning lou! I've been lurking & looking out for a Branson thread!!
Just wanted to add my support - I've been reading your thread from the beginning & think you are doing so brilliantly!
Good luck with the counsellor today x

MarjorieAntrobus · 22/08/2012 11:48

Morning Lou! Glad your work colleagues are being supportive, also that your Mum is such a tower of strength.

droves · 22/08/2012 11:48

Morning Lou !

Your mum is amazing .

Toast toppers are amazing ( especially the mushroom one )

I bought vegitarian sausages and beans in a tin today , had a wee smile as i thought to myself LouP19 likes these as well .

Today will be a good day for you ...I've just got that kind of feeling today .

PoohBearsHole · 22/08/2012 11:48

Your mum ROCKS! Well done LouMum, I am sure that speaking to someone impartial will give you some piece of mind to make YOUR own decision at this rather trying time. Its all very easy for us to tell you what we might do, but in reality we can only give you the knowledge of the experiences we have had in our lives.

Although life can hit you with gut wrenching shots, just sometimes it can lead you to a more fulfilling path - yup the gut wrenching shots might still be there right now but imagine 10 years down the line? Who knows what goodies there might be there and with your attitude there will be GOODIES! It hurts now but it won't always, it will numb and you will have a better life and be thankful you are rid of the twunt Smile.

Good luck today and hope you come away feeling more positive about whatever choice you decide Smile

biggestregret · 22/08/2012 11:55

Hello Lou,

Echo what everyone else has said. The counselling will help. I also found myself unexpectedly pregnant at age 34 and not in a great situation. I spoke to a local group of Care Confidential. There is one close to you if it would help....

Care Confidential

They helped me and were unbiased. If you want to PM me about anything then please do. I understand a little of how you feel (obvioulsy NO chutney experience but no-one can match the Chunt surely???)

Have a good day Lou. You are mega

xxxxx

TheLastRavenhope · 22/08/2012 12:04

Good morning Lou, loving the new thread title!

:)

stifnstav · 22/08/2012 12:04

Given that he knew about the scan, did Chutney make contact with you to see how it went?

fhdl34 · 22/08/2012 12:07

Hi Lou, glad you're feeling a bit more positive today. Let's hope they get the counselling for you quickly

MTBMummy · 22/08/2012 12:09

Morning Lou, so glad the appointment yesterday was a mistake and that they're fixing it, but feel awful that you had to go through that.

Hope the new appointment goes well.

JustinBoobie · 22/08/2012 12:13

Hi Lou, really hoping this thread stays sane!

Good luck today, I hope things start to get clearer...

Any news from the Chunt?

YellowTulips · 22/08/2012 12:14

Morning Lou. Like others just wishing you a better day today and to say I am so sorry about your experience yesterday, something you could have totally done without.

On the positive side it sounds like your Mum (a superstar) has come through again and I hope you can get the counselling appointment quickly.

NoWayNoHow · 22/08/2012 12:16

Excellent thread title Lou and SO pleased t GP is sorting out their massive cock up so quickly, although I know that doesn't erase what happened yesterday.

You're sounding so positive and strong again this morning - you really are a bloody marvel, I hope you know that.

what are Toast Toppers???

Dukandoit · 22/08/2012 12:35

Hi Lou,

So glad that you are back with a new thread. Put yesterday behind you and look forward one day at a time. Hopefully you can talk to someone impartial about what YOU want. And well done Lou's Mum.

RichTeaAreCrap · 22/08/2012 12:40

Glad you are back Lou. Good luck for today, glad your mum has sorted it for you, lets hope that you get the help you want.

You do sound strong again today, well done.

I really want beans and sausages now. Will have to make do with my ham sandwich.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 22/08/2012 13:06

Would just point out that Care Confidential are a church-based group and NOT neutral.

Good afternoon, Lou, glad you have appropriate counselling organised.

AuntieMaggie · 22/08/2012 13:09

juneau I thought the same... i'd think it a bit strange if he turned up at mine with the stuff he's taken!

Lou hope you have a good day.

AuntieMaggie · 22/08/2012 13:10

I used counselling from a christian group and it was really good - religion wasn't mentioned once and the counsellors were really objective.

girlywhirly · 22/08/2012 13:10

I have delurked to offer support and good wishes for your counselling and hope it helps you to reach clarity. I wholeheartedly endorse talking to an impartial person, because when you feel that you are losing your grip on things and don't trust your own judgement any more, you know that they won't tell you what you want to hear or be biased. They will encourage you to explore every angle positive and negative, even some aspects you might not even have considered.

Can you tell I've benefited?!

I'm so pleased that your family, friends and colleagues are devoted to helping you. I doubt that Chunt has the same level of that from any of his.

needsomeperspective · 22/08/2012 13:11

Before I had my termination I went to Christian counselling not k owing that's what it was. I went there because it was free!

I actually found it easier to get to know my own mind when they were putting on subtle pressure and guilt trips because I argued back quite strongly. It was only then that I realized I had actually decided not to have the baby before I even got in there.

So sometimes even if the counselling is not truly "unbiased" it still helps you sort out where your head is at.

blackcurrants · 22/08/2012 13:15

Morning Lou! Glad that (1) you are propping up the economy with your nefarious veggie beans 'n' sausages plan to end the recession and (2) your work are being supportive and (3) your GPs apologized like they should and have organized some help for you.

I hope today's appointment gives you all the things you needed yesterday's appointment to do! The trouble with this kind of thing is that you have to do it all alone - only you can decide whether to proceed with pregnancy and motherhood - as it should be, imagine if someone other than you had the power to decide! - but hard, hard and lonely.

A lot of women do it alone and are happy. A lot of women have terminated pregnancies and never looked back. One friend said "It wasn't an easy decision to make, exactly, but the fact that it was the right decision hasn't ever bothered my sleep" and I know just what she means.

Many, many good luck and good wishes thingies heading your way from Sunny New Jersey!

biggestregret · 22/08/2012 13:18

oldladyknowsnothing - I didn't know that. Like needsomepersective I went because I need to talk with someone.

For my part, I didn't find them biased but you are right to point that out. And I am definitely not one of the Godsquad Wink. I just found it a helpful experience.

ladyWordy · 22/08/2012 13:26

Juneau, exactly. I keep thinking of OW sitting there with a what.the.heck.have I attached myself to here face.....

notsure.... pure genius!

Lou it's good to hear you feel a bit better today....

tuckingfits · 22/08/2012 13:35

Great news about the GP's apology & the counselling. I hope it will help make things clearer for you.

You sound strong & positive again today which is wonderful.

Also wondering if Chutneymuncher made contact - does he have ANY compassion?!

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 22/08/2012 13:49

Glad to hear Care Confidential are offering a good service, but I still think it's important to know these things.
