Not really a weird place, but a weird event in 2006 - we were watched by a monkey in Mexico, the hotel was in the rain forest and had monkeys everywhere, we went for a "nap" one afternoon and when we had finished we saw a monkey staring at us from the balcony.

Oh and first class on one of those old slam door trains conductor caught us
