I had fucking mindblowing good sex the other day. His entire focus was on making sure I enjoyed myself, and sharing in that. It was just... Wow.
And after the inital "where has he been hiding" type shock had eased off, I started wondering. Have I been particularly unfortunate with my lack of orgasm during sex before (despite instructions, positions, foreplay, technique, you name it...), or is it quite normal to not peak at all times? I am more curious than anything else.
During the recent sexathon intimate session I had no less than eight orgasms With partners before that, I would say if we had sex 4 times I might have one, not always though. So... Do you always reach orgasm during sex? Is it normal not to?

I've never orgasmed during intercourse.

I sometimes do, sometimes don't. Quite often I get confused and think I have although actually I was just enjoying the sensation, kind of thing. I'm more likely to orgasm in the tipping-over-the-edge way by doing it myself, I suppose because I'm more relaxed. But I quite often get to a place where everything blocks out and it's just kind of pleasure/togetherness and I tend to think of that as an orgasm, just a different kind. But maybe I'm wrong? If I'm having that then I tend to not be lucid enough to remember that the other kind exists which might explain me thinking that.

Last time we had sex I had already been in the kind of room-blocked-out, pure pleasure point more than once and was at the point where, you know, it's good but you're reaching your limit, so I said I don't know how much longer I can go on and he sort of sped up a bit and then suddenly out of nowhere came this kind of overwhelming tipping-over-the-edge orgasm and then I think he finished and then I started crying no idea where it came from, but huge proper sobs like I can never normally do, and we had a really big hug and it was like a massive weight had been lifted from me afterwards. I'd been feeling crappy for a few days but not really sure what was causing it, so it was a really big relief to let that go, whatever it was.
